So now we have MC going against The Thing of Fantastic Four fame. I don’t think there’s too much to say other than Thing gets has @ss whooped very easily.

Well, The Thing is exceptionally slow so MC could easily stay away from him. The Spartan Laser may do the trick, but I don’t really know how tough Thing’s hide is so I can’t really say how much damage he could resist.

the thing has a very high endurance level and has been blasted by much stronger stuff than a spartan laser so yeah the thing just keeps on coming and masterchief doesnt have anything oh and the spartan laser doesnt blast through stuff it just burns ok the thing cant get burned hes a rock so yeah the thing wins

First off copycat. they dumbed everything down for the video game because playing MC at full strength wouldn’t be fun because a newborn could beat the game on legendary (without dying). They also wouldn’t let plasma burn through rock in the game because cover would be useless then. no if you read the books it clearly states that PLASMA can BUIRN through ROCKS. so just ad 2 and 2 together and you get MC PWNS THE THING!!!!!!! (also if plamsa dosen’t succed use fuel rod cannon)

dude…if you have seen the fantastic four moviies(which sucked btw) you would instantly know that the thing would pwn…all he needs to do is grab masterchief and crush him to itty bits..
1:he is practically bullet proof
2:he can survive tanks
3:i dont think a spartan laser would do much to him…mabey at most make him stagger…but can master chief hit him with the laser since he is so fast and can jump so far??…you really need to take all the factors from all the evidence you can get….just because master chief has friken awesome armor doesnt mean he is going to win

OK, people, you are really forgetting some things.
1. MC agility: 10/10 The Thing:4/10 MC could easily evade The Thing’s attacks. How many ways can you punch?
2. MC speed: 10/10 The Thing: 4/10 MC could Easily make some distance between himself and the Thing.
3. You guys put way to much stock in rocks. Yes they melt. They have to get hot but they melt. What do you think the Earth’s core is made of, water? MC could easily carry on a long fight at close range with the thing, pouring bullets and grenades into him. The Thing would lose eventually.

Rock can be melted whole planets have been melted into glass Corp Harland saw a massive crater blasted into a hill by a hunter chief got shot at by plasma pistols weak bolt which was noted to have melted the rocks into glass (Yes he specifically said rock) if thats not enough he’d just take a covenant starship.

That is often said and people often counter by saying the covenant wouldnt let him take a ship. well,
1). He borrows one from the elites who are now allies. hell, he could borrow their entire fleet if he needed.
2). even if they didnt let him, he’d steal a ship. his done it b4. a banshee would do the trick though, a phantom would be more then a match 4 a peice of animated rock.

What is important is the fact that the thing cannot even touch MC.
Here is a list of The SPARTAN II’s augmentation.

Other than the fact about the training exercise, it’s all before the Spartans have their armor and the armor only makes them better.
MC is so fast that in his perception the Thing would be moving in slow mo.
The Thing would not even be able to touch him.
To fix the issue with the plasma… Yes it DOES melt rock.
If you b**ch about it not working in the games think about how much processing power you would need to show a rock melting. Plus you need to have a limit to what the player can do and where he can go.
Please read the halo books. They display MC the way he should be. I am sick and tired of having to put every ignorant person in their place.

Wow, lots of anger here.
The Thing would win in a melee fight. Pretty obvious that (unless the MCs plasma sword can cut him badly enough to count, since Thing feels no pain)
At a distance, MC would win. Also pretty obvious (but again, as long as the MCs weapons did enough damage to count)
However, MC is far more mobile. He’d just avoid Thing and continue on to whatever the objective was. The Thing wouldn’t be trying to kill MC, since MC is (arguably) a good guy.

In terms of Halo, the Think is stronger and tougher than a hunter, and without the exposed weakness on the back.
If masterchief used a few dozen grenades he could win, but as he can only carry two, he can’t win that way.
Up close, the Thing would just rip masterchied apart, and at a distance, the Thing would just throw big heavy things at masterchief.

Thing wins this one. He may be slower and less agile than MC, but he also had hand-to-hand combat training in the military, he was a test pilot! And if MC can bring the whole covenant fleet, the Thing can bring Galactus! By the way Real plasma does not burn through everything. It can be heated to burn through most things but it doesn’t stay hot it is just a substance that doesn’t solidify or turn to a gas form.
