What if…Khyron didn’t destroy the SDF-1?

So, if you’re a Robotech fan, here’s an interesting question - Suppose Khyron never obliterated the SDF-1, SDF-2 and his ship?

Would the Robotech Masters still be as interested in acquiring the protoculture matrix? (I think so)
Would the SDF-3 even been built?
Where would Captain Gloval end up?
Would the Invid even learn about planet Earth?
