Suggested by Baron Somebody
Scenario: Fett knows that he has to be hooked up to the Matrix in order to catch Agent Smith. Slave I is on orbit around Earth, and that’s how Fett is plugged in, through some interface onboard the ship that he’s managed to hack into the Matrix.
Agent Smith knows that Fett is coming after him, and is also aware that through Fett’s hacking, he can escape the Matrix.
Who would win?

Ohhh….
Good one, Baron. I’ll have to come back to this one later.

What version of Smith are we referring too? Because if its the later version, Fett is fucked outright.

Agent Smith = infinite numbers(Copy & Paste method)
Bobba Fett = 1

i dont think fett could capture all the agent smiths, which is what he will have to do to get him

Or the fact that agent Smith could always requisition a 50 cal rifle and wait for Boba since he has the uncanny ability to always know where his enemy is, or just wait til a civ see boba, spawn, and then pop two in Boba’s head…. easy win.

I can imagine it now boba fett believing in the matrix and gaining powers . I think it would be hilarious to see him flying like neo . But agent Smith is nearly unstoppable and boba fett would most likely get killed off just like all neo except it would be wouldn’t be as epic .

With boba fetts advanced tech I guess he could put smith in a floppy disk and drop it into a conveniantly placed bucket of salty water .

So I guess fett has his armour on ? Isn’t Smith in control of terminating the falty things that goes on in the matrix ? And is this supposably a smith before he was corrupted ? Not so sure of the rules besides the deathmatch . Agnet smith can always summon more . And one more question would a jedi plugged into the matrix have any force abilities ? Answer the questions !!!!!

Wow…. no.
I like to watch this scene because of Boba’s part in it

Well yeah, I think we need to know which Smith we’re talking about.
Also, since Admin stated that Fett can unplug from the Matrix whenever he wishes due to his hacks, I guess that there’s no real way for Smith to fully beat Fett?

@ Syncourt
Qhat if Smith makes Boba a copy of himself, makes the copy log out, and then self destruct the Slave-1?
I’d call that a win.

Smith Boba is an interesting concept…..
“Mister Anderson…”
Neo in the real world: “WTF?”
*Blasts him into oblivion*

…I don’t get it?
How would this even work?
In fact the only ending to this scenario I could somehow surmise would be either Boba Fett becoming trapped and placated in the Matrix for life, being temporarily victorious whilst his foe continues to copy and paste himself, or disconnecting himself entirely and dropping a seismic charge over City 00, destroying the Harvesting grounds with it and effectively ending the Machine occupation of Earth.
How else would you collect a bounty on code after all?

This may seem random but I was wondering how many tons is a spartan (halo) capable of lifting ?

That is completely random and best answered by /shudder/ halopedia.

When I originally suggested this I wanted Boba vs Smith, no Matrix bullshit…but with the scenario provided I really don’t know…how would Smith react to Star Wars level tech?

A Spartan weighs in at about 500Kg with armour; if we assume that the average human dead lift weight ratio of 1.1 times body mass applies to Master Chief, he should have a minimum dead lift capacity of 550Kg.

Heh.
This is quite the kooky match…

This is a really creative match! First of all, would ANY of Smith’s weapons (besides hand-to-hand) be able to get through the mandalorian armor? If Smith has unlimited numbers, like in Matrix 2 and 3, the Fett is in trouble, since he won’t be able to take on the limitless waves of Agents. But if it’s Smith from the 1st Matrix, I think that Fett would be able to take him on, and defeat Smith in a fight.
BUT -and this is a big one- Smith is a virtual program. There is no real way to defeat him/capture him without actually snipping his block of code from within the Matrix. This is how Neo was able to defeat him in Matrix 1- after he “resurrected”, he had a deeper understanding of the code (hence the “number rain” view, and his newfound mastery of the Matrix).
Therefore, I believe that Fett would be able to jump into the Matrix, find, fight, and DEFEAT Smith (uncorrupted version), weakening the program to the point that he could use his plug-in to the Matrix + Slave I’s hack to find and remove the Smith code.
@Orpheus
In Ghosts of Onyx, the SPARTAN augmentations allowed the SPARTAN-IIIs to (and it explicitly states this) make them as strong as 3 humans. The augmentation process for the Spartan IIIs and the Spartan IIs had identical results (augmentation-wise), but the SPARTAN-III had increased the survivability rate.
Add the fact that the SPARTAN-IIs were genetically superior, and they were, without their armor, strong enough to crush a man’s pelvis with a single kick. They were also strong enough to punch through a layer of armor (The Fall of Reach).
Now, as for Mjolnir, it dramatically enhances their strength. There is no indication of how strong they are in Mjolnir. But, it must be remembered that “as John moved the suit, the suit in turn moved him” (from the Fall of Reach). Thus, there is evidence that SPARTANS in Mjolnir are using more the strength of the suit, since it is a powered exoskeleton, as opposed to it simply being body armor. I hope this answers your question.

@Kenny C.
I just assumed that Boba would be smart enough to know Smith’s (are we talking about 1 or 2 in this match? o_O) abilities beforehand as he is actively pursuing Smith. Therefore I assumed that Boba would automatically come back to the real world once he feels that he’s losing.
But yeah, as the posts above me says…I think Fett can destroy Boba in his first version. But if it’s the second version…how can Fett fight a million+ Smiths?
@Orpheus
Oh yeah, just to add to the Spartan II thing (and yes, it is random…unless you’re trying to prove that Fett is more powerful), MJOLNIR indeed dramatically enhanced everything about the user. It was stated that MJOLNIR Mark I armor could lift 4 tonnes and run at 32mph (with a regular marine operating it)…I could only guess that with it being version VI now…it got consistently better.

@ Sapper
I have a theory about this. Remember how the Jedi have that mind trick they can do one the weak willed enemies? Maybe they have a passive ability that can literally use the lose of concentration brought upon with combat to make their enemies respond like retards.
Look at the storm troopers, once proud shock troops of the Empire, reduced to utter simpletons that blindly run at enemy gun positions and can’t shoot worth a flying fuck.
Perhaps the same thing happened to Fett in that particular exchange. The stupid aura (THIS HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY TRADEMARKED BY ME) that Luke had made all logical thought in Boba’s head to be defenestrated and then made him go like ” I gonna us meh jumpt jetz and go righ at dat guy wit da lazor sword and use MEH SPARTAN LAZORRRRR !!! ”
And thats why the Jedi won the Star Wars movies…. the Stupid Aura ability

the flamethrower wins
the flamer always wins
unless the other guy has one of the following:
a revolver
a russian weapon
a bolt/lever action rifle
any other gun that is both badass and sexy
assuming that agent smith avoids using such things, fett can just flame him
(its a computer, the matrix = internets> flamethrower>flaming people on forums)
get it? eh? eh?

this will last for years til either Fett gives up and quits going into the Matrix or hacks the matrix and deletes smith or the third option Fett uses Slave-1 TO DESTROY EVERYTHING!!!(caps lock was actually on accident but it looks fitting so it stays)

- Thanks for giving a long list of facts and examples that prove that Fett would win, it all makes perfect sense. (I hope you get the tone I’m trying to convey here)

As much as I hate to say this, but I believe Agent Smith takes the fight. Just because he has the ability to dodge bullets and a blaster rifle isn’t any different, nor are rockets. The Fett would be firing (and missing) for just enough time for Smith to charge in at him and punch him a few times with HARD barrages that make the Fett fly back. Even if the bullets cannot pierce his armor, it’s the trauma from the bullet’s velocity and force alone that could kill him.
However, if the Fett is inside flying, I’m sure Smith will shoot down his jetpack and send the man crashing down.
Slave-I… not so sure

I have an answer for Slave-1, Smith alerts the Sentinels, and the trillions of them will take care of it. That finishes what you said Akibahara

Coming back to this match I realize…what the fuck were you all thinking? All Boba Fett needs to do is insert his data breaker somewhere within the core of “Earth” or whatever planet it is to completey destroy all of the primitive programming in comparison to the Star Wars universe
September 2, 2010
#45
Then once the Sentinals take note they all go after but be ultimately destroyed by the repeating cannons and Ion detonaters that will wipe them out by the tens of thousands, all while Boba Fett is taking a nap in the cockpit like it’s just a bunch of flies hitting themselves against the windo- I mean defelective shields…
