I don’t like Isabelle’s odds, but I’m riding for her anyway until I see some crazy Ivy feats.

Ivy managed to kick one of Cervantes’s bullet at one point, although I can’t remember when.
So I side with her for now.

Ivy is probably the forerunner for this match considering her well known use of magic and a magical chainsword while constantly warring with her zombie-pirate father and worse… at least until some decent feats for Isabelle are shown.

Izzy is one of the only Modern TMI Half-Mortals who’s actually tolerable in multiple accounts, so hopefully she puts up half as shocking a fight as I can recall.

    __

I was kind of expecting Izzy to go fight against Mami Tomoe from Madoka Magica, but this is kind of cool, in a sense.

There might be weapons in the location somewhere Izzy could also use, if need be if I’m not wrong.

We now await Wayne to show up.

(OOC: Frankly for that matter I’m still surprised that We didn’t hear of any dot hack vs TMI fights, I would have braced myself for if Haseo vs Jace Wayland happened already.)

Until Wayne shows up, I’ll go and look up what I can find for Ivy, okay?

Ivy didn’t debut in the Queen’s Blade games, but she was in Queen’s Gate: Spiral Chaos along with Dizzy of Guilty Gear and (especially) Noel Vermillion of BlazBlue.

If Izzy’s CQC Combat Speed is at the levels shown by the likes of Eragon of Alagaesia from Inheritance or lower, Izzy’s beyond screwed if she doesn’t bust out the right Enhancement Runes in time before Ivy closes in.

Oddly enough, Izzy could be interesting to see in the Queen’s Blade games, potentially.

Not knowledgeable of the former but Ivy does have some formidable abilities. I’ll let others educate me

Who is Isabelle Lightwood? I’ll wait till others post feats for her.

Also, the bullet kicking feat was in the Soulcalibur III opening.

I have all the Mortal Instrument books, I just don’t feel like digging through them for Isabelle quotes

I suggested this fight mainly because of their whips. Here is what the shadow hunters wiki says about Isabelle’s electrum whip:

A whip is a rope-like tool used by Isabelle Lightwood as her primary weapon, aside from seraph blades. It is a tool traditionally used to exert control over others through pain compliance or fear of pain. It can also be used to loop around anything and for exerting binding pressure.

This is Isabelle’s weapon of choice, made from gold electrum wire. She uses this to entangle enemies and pull them to the floor. She is also strong enough to use it to pull limbs off. With glamour, mundanes see the whip as a long, silver, and gold bracelet on Isabelle’s arm when not in use. In reality, it is the pattern of swirling lines of the whip, inked into her skin.

This whip is lined with electrum, much like Jessamine’s parasol. It had been a twelfth birthday present from her father.

Electrum is an alloy of gold and silver that can be found naturally in the earth. It has been known and used since the time of the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. Its lack of purity means that it is rarely used in specific rituals, but it is considered a good conductor of magic. It combines the mystical abilities of both silver and gold, in lesser strength than either pure metal but at significantly less expense than pure gold and without some of the disadvantages.[1]

Shadowhunters are known to use electrum on some of their weapons. Henry Branwell laced the fabric of Jessamine’s parasol with electrum. Isabelle’s whip is also made of electrum wire.

In this scene from The Mortal Instruments move, Isabelle, Alec and Jace fight a room full of vampires. The focus is mostly on Jace but you get to see Isabelle use her whip on a few vampires.

Wait you’re using movie Isabelle? She get’s stomped then. The movies nerfed the Shadowhunters abilities.
