Megatron Vs Megatron

Megatron Vs Megatron

Suggested by Shadow-Knight

This match will close the generation gap in order to settle a debate that has raged for the past few years. The Battle will pit Megatron ( generation 1) against Megatron ( Michael Bay version) to see who is the true leader of the Decepticons. (Transformers)

Battle takes place in Seattle, Washington. ( Fully populated)

Both are allowed to call in Starscream (each from their respective generation)for support

Starscream can only stay for three minutes and be called back every fifteen minutes

Both combatants are at full power and are fighting to the death.

Autobots and the U.S. military are not present.

One shall rise and one shall fall.

Which Megatron is superior?

    G1 goes pistol mode, and Starscream uses him to one shot the Bayformer.

  2. Xornell August 29, 2013 at 7:49 am -      #2

    I’d say G1. Aren’t they pretty powerful?

    G1 Megatron could probably solo Bayformers

    Yea Im joking but it is rather violent considering how bad bayformer gets……lets say destroyed to make it clean

  7. DragonRebornSTOMP August 29, 2013 at 8:35 am -      #7

    Wow. Poor bay Megatron. Stomp match is stomp, no FP Award today.

  8. Amm0vamp1r3 August 29, 2013 at 9:05 am -      #8

    But I think Bayformer wins in the style department

  9. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 9:35 am -      #9

    G1 should have this, even if we don’t count the comics.

    @Amm0vamp1r3

    Maybe so, but Prime’s Megatron beats them BOTH in the style department!

  10. ZomBomber August 29, 2013 at 9:41 am -      #10

    One “Yes” from Beast Wars Megatron has enough swag to destroy both of these.

    Yup, that one

  14. Amm0vamp1r3 August 29, 2013 at 9:45 am -      #14

    He does look like a BOSS but now I am interested in the one ZomB is talking about with a powerful “yes”

  15. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 9:50 am -      #15

    Yeah Bay’s Megatron gets ripped apart, hell G1 Megatron would probably let his Starscream take care of it for him, instead of wasting his own precious time.

    fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/201/5/f/All_Hail_Beast_Wars_Megatron_by_Dan_the_artguy.jpg The three incarnations of Beastwars Megatron. Top being the latest version of him.

  17. Amm0vamp1r3 August 29, 2013 at 9:55 am -      #17

    So he went T rex to something else to a Dragon, and the Dragon looks awesome

  18. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 10:03 am -      #18

    Honestly, though, I’ve liked every single incarnation of Megatron so far.

    G1, comic, Unicron trilogy, Animated, Prime, etc.

    I like the Beast Wars Megatron, too, but he is technically a whole separate character.

    Prime has the coolest design, IMO, and the fact that Frank Welker reprised his role is icing on the cake!

  19. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 10:09 am -      #19

    Prime is far and away my favorite also, sad that show is over now. Still it ended amazingly.

  20. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 10:11 am -      #20

    The second Megatron was Transmetal, which I was never really cool with as a concept, and yeah he became a fucking dragon. Optimus became some lame jet/tank thing…

  21. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 10:11 am -      #21

    @Karen Starr

    Yeah, but the sequel DTV film is coming out this fall.

  22. Amm0vamp1r3 August 29, 2013 at 10:18 am -      #22

    Sucks the awesome antagonist never win.

  23. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 10:21 am -      #23

    @Amm0vamp1r3

    Weeelll, if comic what-ifs count, there is a Transformers one where the Decepticons actually win.

  24. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 10:22 am -      #24

    true, just still sad. That was one of the best incarnations of Transformers I have seen.

  25. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 10:27 am -      #25

    @Karen

    IMO, Prime was the best series. I know that people love G1 (I do too), but from a critical stand-point, Prime was the much better show.

    But next year, The Hub will apparently launch a new show. I guess the question is, will it be in Prime continuity, or will it be whole new thing?

  26. itcheyness August 29, 2013 at 10:31 am -      #26

    “Sucks the awesome antagonist never win.”
    -
    In Beast Wars at least, Megatron won as often as not. That was one of my favorite things about the show.

  27. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 10:36 am -      #27

    @itcheyness

    Well, I think he meant winning overall.

    Megatron would sometimes win the battle – but he lost the war.

    Transformers Animated was similar to Beast Wars in that respect. The villains were usually outclassing the heroes, until the series finale, where the heroes finally won.

    In Beast Wars, Waspinator is the only villain who “won” in the end, IMO.

  28. Kara Zor-El August 29, 2013 at 10:59 am -      #28

    G1 4 Lief Yo!
    _
    Seriously, that’s all I’ve ever seen. I managed to get ahold of Prime, so maybe I’ll get round to watching that some day. I saw odd snippets of Beast Wars, didn’t much care for the look of the show, though I hear it’s actually rather good.
    _
    Still, you can’t beat the classic look and Badassitude of the original G1 Megatron.
    _
    P.S Galvatron – any incarnation- can just fuck off!

  29. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 11:04 am -      #29

    BTW, I found this cool fan-art of G1 Megatron vs Bay Megatron, and since it was kinda relevant (and just awesome), I thought I’d post it:

  30. itcheyness August 29, 2013 at 11:07 am -      #30

    Beast Wars’ look jumps up noticeably between each season, since it corresponds to the increase of their budget. It looks way better in Season 2 than it does in Season 1. There’s a smaller, but still noticeable, jump in quality between seasons 2 and 3 as well.

  31. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 11:15 am -      #31

    I think Beast Wars is interesting in that I always found it a mixed bag quality wise.

    The best episodes are amazing…and the worst episodes are god-awful (seriously, one episode climaxes with a fart joke).

    The best characters are also amazing (Dinobot), but the worst were annoying as heck (quite a few characters, honestly).

    I think the series was at its best in the darker episodes. I enjoyed those more than the comedy-esque ones.

  32. itcheyness August 29, 2013 at 11:21 am -      #32

    Definitely, show always tripped up when it tried to be funny, and excelled when it was trying to be dark. Code of Hero for instance is one of the absolute best episodes for an animated series I’ve ever seen.

  33. Tails111 August 29, 2013 at 11:28 am -      #33

    @itcheyness

    YES, that one is great. Whenever I recommend Beast Wars to someone, I always mention that episode as my favorite of the series.

  34. Jolttra August 29, 2013 at 2:04 pm -      #34

    This is a battle between a 40 year old fighter jet with a Walter P38 modified to shoot lasers and another jet that actually replaced the first one and a super advanced alien fighter with heavy armaments and unbelievable speed. This is pretty one sided guys.

    Pretty good showing of Starscream G1′s durability and fire power, as well as Megatron’s fire power.

  36. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 2:50 pm -      #36

    @Jolttra yeah it’s a stomp in favor of the 40 year old jet, and the Walther P38.

  37. Jolttra August 29, 2013 at 3:13 pm -      #37

    I’ll admit I never watched Transformers, he TV show or the movies. I didn’t even buy the toys…. The fuck is wrong with me?

  38. Sauroposeidon August 29, 2013 at 3:23 pm -      #38

    You need to remedy yourself, Jolttra.

  39. ZomBomber August 29, 2013 at 3:26 pm -      #39

    Jolttra, you are one sick twisted bastard.

    “I’ll admit I never watched Transformers, he TV show or the movies. I didn’t even buy the toys…. The fuck is wrong with me?”
    -
    G1 is a little incoherent personally, but…. *MAN* do I love it’s move. :D
    -
    Watched it all the time as I kid.

  41. Jolttra August 29, 2013 at 3:45 pm -      #41

    @ZomBomber:
    Lay off will you. When I was little I spent most of my time out side with friends (try it some time), playing Turbografix-16, and watching movies and TV. (Both the classic Disney stuff and sci-fi action classics, not all age appropriate. When I was 7 my favorite TV show was South Park and my second favorite film Starship Troopers.)
    -
    When I git older, about 11, I upgraded to the X Box and got hooked on Pokemon. I read almost all the time (most well beyond my grade level) and became fasinated with old balck and white films, Freaks being a personal favorite. Not to mention Godzilla.
    -
    Now I’m trapped by the heavily glow of the internet like everyone else on this site and I’m spending 40% of my spare time on it. The rest goes about 35% to my Girlfriend (wish it was more but are college class are conflicting) , 25% reading, and 10 % writing. I ope to be a novels.
    -
    Bottom line, a show from way before my time about robots turning into cars (I really don’t like cars and was never interested in them) is not my idea of entertainment. Especially one with a story as bare bones as this.

  42. Karen Starr August 29, 2013 at 3:52 pm -      #42

    All you need to watch is the 86 animated movie… Honestly it blows all three of the Bay movies out of the water, and you can do it on Youtube.

  43. Jolttra August 29, 2013 at 4:28 pm -      #43

    Maybe…I’ll get back to this in a few days.

  44. captain napalm August 29, 2013 at 4:52 pm -      #44

    Well, it looks like this match is already decided…but sounds like I’ve got some catching up to do (never saw Prime, or the 86 movie).

  45. Dassadec August 29, 2013 at 5:46 pm -      #45

    Wow G1 starscream as support completely wrecks the Bayformers. His Nul- ray would shut them down 1 shot.

    Starscream can possess other Transformers with his spark….only if he dies which I think is impossible in a situation like this.

    Survives a blast strong enough to propel him and Unicron’s head out of Cybertron

  50. Tails111 August 30, 2013 at 11:37 am -      #50

    I feel like this match was decided in only 7 comments.

    But maybe that’s a good thing. Better that than a fight that goes nowhere for ten pages.

  51. Total_Overkill August 31, 2013 at 3:16 pm -      #51

    “Weeelll, if comic what-ifs count, there is a Transformers one where the Decepticons actually win.”
    -
    Actually, if the animated movie is taken into account, G1 Decepticons won (until they invaded earth)
    They took 100% control of Cybertron and pushed the Autobot forces in the star system out to Cybertrons moons (which get destroyed along with most of the remaining autobots), obtained vast amounts of energon, and killed 95% of G1 Autobot cast while taking next to zero losses … if thats not victory, i dont know what is ;-p

  52. Commander Cross August 31, 2013 at 3:56 pm -      #52

    @Karen Starr at #42

    Pacific Rim also does the same as far as storylines are concerned, but still that negative stereotype stigma involving Giant Robots that arrived after the Live-action TF movies happened isn’t going away. :(
    A Shame at that, to be frank.

  53. Karen Starr August 31, 2013 at 4:03 pm -      #53

    The difference between the Bay movies and Pacific rim is….

    Pacific Rim actually does giant robots fighting right. It’s a movie about giant robots fighting aliens first, and everything else second, couple that with actual decent filming you get a great movie.

  54. Commander Cross August 31, 2013 at 4:09 pm -      #54

    @Karen Starr at #53

    Most of my family don’t realize this difference, we got lucky with Real Steel and we couldn’t even see it in theaters either. :(
    Unless the Kaiju are being underestimated, I could see Pacific Rim doing very well against the Live-Action Transformers if Unicron!-level+ beings or above are barred in terms of involvement, if the PR side plays it smart.

    “IMO, Prime was the best series. I know that people love G1 (I do too), but from a critical stand-point, Prime was the much better show.”
    -
    And by all accounts, TFP is the darkest of the franchise we’ve had. Highest body count, second most named character deaths behind G1 (some quite brutally) , Killing of humans and their on screen deaths, torture of both TF’s and humans, by both TF’s and humans…
    Really not something you expect from a “kids” show

  56. Shgon Dunstan September 1, 2013 at 1:39 pm -      #56

    @Total_Overkill
    “Highest body count, second most named character deaths behind G1 (some quite brutally)”
    -
    Funny thing? Like I said, I used to watch the G1 movie all the time as a kid, but a had never watched all that much of G1 itself.
    -
    So, when I watched it within the last year or so on the Hub, and then cought the G1 movie showing(also on the Hub)……. MAN, was that movie a slaughter house for the known bots. :?

  57. Tails111 September 2, 2013 at 10:03 am -      #57

    That’s part of why I liked the movie. It was darker than the show. In the show, Megatron always threatened to kill Starscream.

    In the film, Megatron (well, Galvatron) finally did it!

    Of course, then the show wrecked it by having Starscream return in Season 3 as a ghost (wut)…
