What If...Doomsday Invaded Asgard?

Suggested by Chuck inglish

What would his arrival do?
How would the residents of Asgard react?
Who would come to help Asgard?
What other impact would there be?

Considering what hulk did to Asgard…. it would not be pretty

  2. Asger May 11, 2013 at 8:14 am -      #2

If Odin is asleep, then we get Thor fighting Doomsday to the death, both of them being killed in the battle.

If Odin is awake, he flicks Doomsday out of his domain.

  3. Jedah Dohma May 11, 2013 at 8:42 am -      #3

Yea, what Asger said, Odin solos via BFR

  4. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 10:23 am -      #4

Who comes to help Beta Ray Bill and likely the Avengers. Hercules may also show up to help his fellow gods. Beta may call Silver Surfer before heading to the party.
    -
Doomsday’s not going to encounter the same panic striken voices he did when he invaded earth he’s going to be met immediately with physical force. Nothing that will slow him down for long but it’s not going to be puny human soldiers it’d be like he invaded a new Krypton with magic and a yellow sun.
    -
If Odin is awake as has been said he can likely lol flick Doomsday away like a gnat if not blast him into sweet oblivion.
    -
Odin in the Odinsleep, Thor arrives pounds him with the hammer decreeing that no monster will trash Asgard while Thor still breaths they start fighting, Sif calls Beta Ray Bill who calls Silver Surfer who both show up for the party at different points and jump in the brawl of a lifetime. Between the three of them Doomsday will be in for a hell of a fight, if Hercules shows up it turns into the biggest hundred tonner barn burner this side of Jotunheim.

as to the impact, they upgrade the dimensional barriers and smack Loki upside the head for good measure after it’s all said and done. Odin wakes up just too late to stop the destruction but undoes it with a snap of his finger. Or he is up and nothing goes down he just blows Doomsday away like a moth.

  6. Nomad May 11, 2013 at 11:15 am -      #6

I’m thinking Thor could take down Doomsday with help.

  7. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 11:32 am -      #7

well Thor Beta Ray Bill and Hercules would give Doomsday a hell of a fight.
And I’ve considered Thor Bill Gladiator and Sentry together vs Doomsday I don’t know if that would be too much against Doomsday though.

  8. Amm0vamp1r3 May 11, 2013 at 11:44 am -      #8

    Doomsday comes in
    -
    Clogs odins toilet
    -
Sleeps in thors bed with like 5-10 asgardian women
    -
Gets like 3 pregnant and leaves
    -
Because doomsday is a bad person

  9. Richard Rider May 11, 2013 at 12:33 pm -      #9

Odin sends Doomsday to Olympus to troll Zeus.

“Odin sends Doomsday to Olympus to troll Zeus.”
    -
    And Kratos yells DOOOOOMSDAY!!

  11. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 12:57 pm -      #11

    @Nomad
    Doomsday solos that Olympus lol.

  12. VunderGuy May 11, 2013 at 1:34 pm -      #12

Which Doomsday are we talking about here and what’s with all these people saying Thor and Doomsday take each other out? That’s iffy, and it becomes a pure steaming load if it’s Hunter Prey Doomsday.

  13. ZomBardian97 May 11, 2013 at 1:41 pm -      #13

Thor would definitely be able to hold out long enough for Beta Ray Bill and Iron Man to get there, at which point Doomsday is screwed. He just can’t take their combined might. Doomsday will certainly do some damage if Odin is asleep, but he would be repelled.

  14. Richard Rider May 11, 2013 at 1:46 pm -      #14

H/P Doomsday would probably destroy Thor and most of Asgard until Odin steps in.

  15. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 1:46 pm -      #15

    @Vunder
I said between Thor and Beta Ray Bill Doomsday would have a fight on his hands. since despite your complaints Thor is eqaul to Superman other than speed plus he has more variety of powers to throw than superbreath and heeat vision on top of the physical powers.
    -
Not to mention Hyperion and Captain Universe and the other Avengers…….

  16. Richard Rider May 11, 2013 at 1:51 pm -      #16

Thor has fought his own version of Doomsday.
    Mangog:

    www.comicvine.com/mangog/4005-12345/
The Destroyer Armor alone would stomp Doomsday. Because it was created to fight Celestials.

  17. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 1:52 pm -      #17

    @Richard
Thor could hold off Doomsday till Beta Ray got there and the Avengers.

  18. Richard Rider May 11, 2013 at 1:57 pm -      #18

    Mangog:
    Powers and Abilities

Mangog’s power level depends on the amount of psychic energy that is feeding him at the moment. In all his incarnations it possesses virtually limitless physical strength, stamina, and durability far surpassing Thor and more on par with skyfathers and cosmic beings. He has repeatedly defeated Thor and all of the armies of Asgard in battle without sustaining injury or even being fatigued. He has also displayed some minor magical abilities like shapeshifiting, mystic senses and energy blasts, but his relies pretty exclusively on his overwhelming physical abilities.

Mangog psychically feeds on the emotions and beliefs of other beings. In most of his appearances he feeds on hatred though he has shown to be able to feed on worship and adoration one time when he impersonated Odin. Should he be cut off from his power source he will shrivel up and fade into oblivion. While a physical being he is vulnerable to physical assault, but it would require on such a level that it is typically impossible for anyone to muster the necessary levels.

  19. Richard Rider May 11, 2013 at 2:02 pm -      #19

    So Mangog can solo Doomsday?

  20. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 2:05 pm -      #20

not sure but it’d be a hell of a fight

  21. ZomBardian97 May 11, 2013 at 2:07 pm -      #21

    “So Mangog can solo Doomsday?”
    -
Unless he can clone himself, he would pretty much have to.

  22. Tails111 May 11, 2013 at 3:48 pm -      #22

    @Amm0vamp1r3

    LOL

Anyway, if Odin is sleeping, I think it’d turn out like the Hulk vs. Thor movie. Of course, unlike the movie, I’ll assume that Beta Ray Bill is here.

Of course, maybe Thor can just BFR him to where Loki is. :P

  23. ParanaturaLowk May 11, 2013 at 3:59 pm -      #23

“as to the impact, they upgrade the dimensional barriers and smack Loki upside the head for good measure after it’s all said and done.”
    -
They can’t blame Loki, he’s busy on earth helping adolescent superhumans be superheroes.

  24. ZomBardian97 May 11, 2013 at 4:29 pm -      #24

Lowk, why hasn’t your name been Lowki yet?

  25. Asger May 11, 2013 at 4:40 pm -      #25

Really, the Asgardian army can put up a decent defence and buy time for back up. These were the people who managed to hold off the US Army and Norman Osborn’s psycho Avengers, until Sentry spazzed all over the place and destroyed them.

  26. Amm0vamp1r3 May 11, 2013 at 4:45 pm -      #26

I think Loki would help doomsday in some form or fashion which would make things harder for the Asgarians

  27. Nomad May 11, 2013 at 4:50 pm -      #27

“I think Loki would help doomsday in some form or fashion which would make things harder for the Asgarians”
    -
    Current incarnation Loki wouldn’t IMO.

  28. Tails111 May 11, 2013 at 4:56 pm -      #28

    @Amm

More likely, Loki would try to use Doomsday, which would probably end badly for him.

  29. ParanaturaLowk May 11, 2013 at 5:17 pm -      #29

“Lowk, why hasn’t your name been Lowki yet?”
    -
Normally I name change based on the pictures I find.

  30. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 7:09 pm -      #30

    @Lowk
I forgot he was still kid Loki just evil Loki took over again but hasn’t been acting evil, figured that would have been worked out and Loki would have found a way to his normal body again by now.
    -
I doubt current Loki would be interested in using Doomsday, he’s tried the manipulating dumb muscle tactic before. Plus he’s somewhat leaning more towards chaotic good than chaotic evil if I recall correctly. Or maybe chaotic neutral..but he wouldn’t play with Doomsday I don’t think.

  31. Capelli May 11, 2013 at 7:36 pm -      #31

Doomsday would be doomed if Odin is awake

  32. ZomBardian97 May 11, 2013 at 8:07 pm -      #32

If anything, I think current Loki would help defend Asgard, because it is still his home. Really he seems to have gotten over the whole super evil thing.

  33. Chuck inglish May 11, 2013 at 8:18 pm -      #33

  34. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 9:02 pm -      #34

    @Chuck
    match or the movie?

  35. Chuck inglish May 11, 2013 at 9:20 pm -      #35

    Movie

  36. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 11, 2013 at 9:41 pm -      #36

wasn’t that movie riddled with pis and cis though? Or is the moral different, I haven’t actually seen it.

  37. crazyemu May 12, 2013 at 3:48 am -      #37

    Odin says
“go away you pest you be killing ma peeps”
and then gives him the boot

  38. Asger May 12, 2013 at 5:18 am -      #38

Hulk vs Thor was written by a MASSIVE Hulk fanboy.

  39. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 10:39 am -      #39

    thought so.
Still Doomsday is a bigger threat than Hulk, but all out Thor dominates Hulk as well so…yeah. Not sure if Thor can win on his own though.

  40. Crimson Sentry May 12, 2013 at 12:34 pm -      #40

Well if you want to put it in perspective, Doomsday has defeated Superman handedly who is the equivalent to Thor, and he also defeated Darkseid who is the equivalent to Thanos, although I think Darkseid is a bit weaker than Thanos. Also remember that Doomsday can adapt very fast, and he can adapt to magic, physical strength or abilities (kinda l ke he adapted to not being harmed by darkseids omega beams that erase you from existence.) I think that he would level asgard in the time it would take for other heroes to make it there, since I think he’d mop the floor with Thor after an hour of fighting if even that.

  41. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 1:43 pm -      #41

Bill would be there before Thor got beaten, Sif can instant teleport anywhere and Bill and Thor have shown teleporting, Sif teleports to Bill tells him a new foe is attacking Asgard, they both teleport to Asgard and Bill jumps in. Takes a few seconds maybe a minute or two at most between Sif and Heimdall, Heimdall points him out Sif teleports and warns them then ports to Earth calls the Avengers, Avengers come to Asgard, ass kicking ensues the Avengers and Asgardians hold Doomsday back long enough for Tony to analyze him and come up with a way to beat his physiology, or Thor channels lightning through Iron Man’s armor to depower Doomsday….that’s a thing…believe it or not…it happened…
Still no PIS involved the Asgardians can get backup in seconds.

  42. Tails111 May 12, 2013 at 2:11 pm -      #42

I honestly think that Doomsday, depending on the incarnation, can actually defeat/hold his own against Thor, Bill, and Sif at the same time.

  43. Asger May 12, 2013 at 2:11 pm -      #43

The Asgardian Army, Baldur, Sif, The Warriors Three, Heimdall, Loki and Thor…If Odin is asleep, they can do a damn fine job buying time. Again, the Asgardians held their own against the U.S army and Norman Osborn’s Dark Avengers, until Sentry went full-on Cthulu.

  44. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 2:15 pm -      #44

pretty much, and bringing in the Avengers gives them the new Hyperion, Captain deatomize you Universe, Doomsday would have his hands full.

  45. Asger May 12, 2013 at 2:33 pm -      #45
  46. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 2:39 pm -      #46

Ah, new Hyperion, tying with Pre Crisis Superman for fewest scans to be overpowered.
If he Thor Hulk and Bill all punch Doomsday at once I’m pretty sure it would create a new universe.

  47. Asger May 12, 2013 at 2:40 pm -      #47

Honestly, he was always kinda really OP. Personally I don;t see why they need two Supermen on one Avengers team.

  48. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 2:45 pm -      #48

because their hands get tired every few million punches?
Or maybe they just wanted Thor to have someone to be able to play good god bad god with while interrogating people.
Hyperion: Look, tell us where Thanos is, or by buddy here uses his hammer to remodel your face.
Thor smirks menacingly and taps Mjolnir in the palm of his hand
    -
or a Captain Marvel and Superman type thing.

  49. Asger May 12, 2013 at 2:50 pm -      #49

Hm, I suppose. Still it’s sort of weird, almost like they’re asking for a DC lawsuit.

In any event, yeah. Dooms can’t really win this battle.

  50. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 2:53 pm -      #50

yeah if Odin is awake, he just gets punted back to DC.
If Odin’s asleep he faces a slowly increasing army of Supermen. Most of them more loose with the killing blows than Superman ever was.

  51. Amm0vamp1r3 May 12, 2013 at 3:02 pm -      #51

I think doomsday messes things up, kills some people, and becomes more and more immune to some things like the asgardian magi-science etc etc.
    -
I don’t know where the avengers are now, but I know iron man is traveling the galaxy I believe with some people but the rest are fair game I believe. so they might show up to a very powerful and angry dooms day.
    -
But I believe he would do some good damage.

  52. Asger May 12, 2013 at 3:02 pm -      #52

Doomsday when he first appeared only had to deal with a rather poor version of the Justice League, and a Superman who most certainly wasn’t at his peak.

  53. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 3:07 pm -      #53

yeah, if this is Hunter Prey Doomsday when he first starts out he’s going to be in for a surprise. Doomsday at the end of his mess it’s an interesting fight, a lot of Asgard is trashed (no fucks are given since Odin can just snap his fingers and fix it though) but sooner or later the use of allies that are hax Superman tier guys in some cases, super geniuses or mega wizards in others (Doctor Strange is a New Avenger now…shit gets wrecked if all Avenger teams are pulled in)

  54. Amm0vamp1r3 May 12, 2013 at 3:27 pm -      #54

Also alot of asgardian enemies might see this as a good time to strike.

  55. Asger May 12, 2013 at 3:30 pm -      #55

Even though Doomsday is just as likely to try smash them too?

  56. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 3:30 pm -      #56

Potentially, but Doomsday is an equal opportunity killer so they’d quickly be fighting him as much as the Asgardians….whole thing would just turn into a clusterfuck.

  57. Amm0vamp1r3 May 12, 2013 at 3:34 pm -      #57

Yea he would 9/10 attack them two, but they wouldn’t know that, they would say “Hey, asgard is being attacked, I want in on this” Trudge to asgard.
    -
    Thor would say “Odin’s Beard!”
    -
One thing leads to another and you got Asgard vs some of there enemy armies vs doomsday

  58. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 3:47 pm -      #58

eh it’d be a clusterfuck the enemies of Asgard usually hate each other as much as they hate Asgard.

  59. ParanaturaLowk May 12, 2013 at 3:54 pm -      #59

    “*
Even though Doomsday is just as likely to try smash them too?
    *”
    -
Iirc he has worked with Brainiac at one point.

  60. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 12, 2013 at 4:00 pm -      #60

eh, most Asgard enemies would see him as a puny useless mortal. Would react like they do to Hulk. Just try to squash him.

  61. Asger May 12, 2013 at 4:09 pm -      #61

“Iirc he has worked with Brainiac at one point.”

I ah…I don;t think the Wrecking Crew will be as convincing as a 12th level intellect.

  62. Aelfinn May 14, 2013 at 9:16 pm -      #62

“Yeah…Yeah i think Hyperion can hold his own here”
    -
That doesn’t say Hyperion destroyed two Universes, though.
    -
I’m a bit late to this, but shouldn’t Doomsday be able to speed-blitz most everyone from Asgard? I mean, he trades blows and can surprise Superman with his speed, and Superman >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thor when it comes to Reaction Times.

  63. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 14, 2013 at 9:17 pm -      #63

Not really, and even then only if Odin’s asleep, if Odin’s awake Doomsday gets slapped like a bitch back to the DC universe.

  64. Aelfinn May 14, 2013 at 9:21 pm -      #64

” if Odin’s awake Doomsday gets slapped like a bitch back to the DC universe.”
    -
Well yeah, but that’s because Odin is like galaxy-level. I’m talking more of the “if Odin is asleep” scenario.
    -
    “Not really,”
    -
Well, is there anyone who can really keep up with Doomsday?

  65. Commander Cross May 14, 2013 at 9:26 pm -      #65

High King Odin is Boss, I will not lie.
Wonder who among the residents of Asgard could keep Doomsday in check until either Odin awakes or Thor cuts loose to be sure.

  66. GuardianAngel1911 Super Sayian god May 14, 2013 at 9:32 pm -      #66

Hermod is as fast as Hermes who’s FTL (and who we’ve shown scans of Thor managing to catch and perceive so Thor should be able to at least see Doomsday coming)
    -
And just found this out but when Odin is in the Odinsleep he gives a chunk of the Odinforce to Heimdall, who’s used to do things like recreate the Bifrost Bridge. Heimdall can also sense/see anything within hundreds of miles. He can also look across time space.

  67. The Geek Lord May 15, 2013 at 7:38 pm -      #67

Yeah pretty much what everyone else is saying. Doomsday would trash Asgard and maybe even kill a few Asgardians (Balder, Sif, perhaps the Warriors Three).
Thor would fight Doomsday to the death with help from Beta Ray, Surfer, Doctor Strange (maybe?), and Hercules. They’d be able to take Doomsday out all together, no doubt.
Of course if Odin is awake, it’s another story entirely. But he’s always asleep when shit like this goes down.

  68. The Geek Lord May 15, 2013 at 7:39 pm -      #68

Oh yeah, Heimdall would totally see Doomsday coming and could warn the city.
    duh

  69. ParanaturaLowk May 15, 2013 at 7:57 pm -      #69

Then the Illuminati put him on a spaceship to some unknown Planet were he was a gladiator and.. Wait no, that was Hulk.
New idea, What if.. Hulk was replaced by doomsday at certain moments in marvel history?

  70. Alpha or Omega May 15, 2013 at 9:32 pm -      #70

Captain America:”Doomsday, we need you to calm down….”
*Doomsday proceeds to send Captain America far away

Does Thor get his God Blast?

If so, it’s over before it starts. There wouldn’t be anything left of Doomsday to regenerate from.

I’ll agree unless odins awake doomsday is gonna be a challenge, especially with the whole adaptability(let them pray he doesn’t grow immune to magic)
