Electro Vs Darth Sidious

Electro Vs Darth Sidious

Suggested by Awesome Assasin

Here we have Electro (Marvel) for some reason, taking on Darth Sidious (Star Wars)

I’m guessing the only way to keep this in check is to make this a battle of electrical powers only?

Battle takes place on the top floor of the empire state building.

Who wins?

Seriously? This ain’t even funny. Sideous throws Electro into space/teleports him into a sun/vaporises him with a force storm/decapitates him with his saber.

  2. PwNaGE TraiN March 26, 2013 at 8:34 am -      #2

Wel when I saw this I just started laughing, hands down Sideous wins, no question.

Da FaQ is with these fucking electric people vs. sidous fights

  4. Murder March 26, 2013 at 9:20 am -      #4

    Electro stomps. With ease.

  5. Crimson Sentry March 26, 2013 at 9:32 am -      #5

Yea…Darth Sidious easy breaks him, just mentally alone, even if you use the incarnation where Electro is just pure electricity.

  6. crazyemu March 26, 2013 at 10:07 am -      #6

sideous either kills him or turns him to the darkside

  7. Tails111 March 26, 2013 at 10:10 am -      #7

LOL, guys, the match summary says only electrical powers.

  8. The Expert March 26, 2013 at 10:29 am -      #8

    @Tails111
well in that case i guess Electro stomps since he uses pure energy which is more powerful force lighting plus isn’t Electro immune to Electrictiy?

  9. Crimson Sentry March 26, 2013 at 10:41 am -      #9

^ What he said, no offense to awesome who posted this, but this match is extremely clear cut. If electricity only Electro stomps utterly and completely, he has multiple incarnations, but I think all of them take this.

  10. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 1:31 pm -      #10

If this is EU Sidious, massive curbstomp. If just electrical powers, I am still leaning towards Sidious if only for the reason that Force lightning is not simply electricity. Electro massively outclasses Sidious in voltage/watts/amps, whatever you please concerning zappage, but Force lightning actually drains the life Force of someone that is hit with it. So even assuming Electro could even absorb or use Sidious’ lightning to amp his own attacks, the Force lightning would still be draining his life Force until he died or was KO’d.

  11. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 1:39 pm -      #12

Has he used a Force storm with lightning before?

  12. Secrecy27 March 26, 2013 at 3:26 pm -      #13

sorry for idiotquestion, but is there 2 sidius? is that what u mean with EU?

  13. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 3:28 pm -      #14

i think you guys are underestimating the latest versions of electro

it is stated in many marvel comics and books that electro has the ability to demolish several city blocks of new york city with one strike if he ever wanted to

the reason he doesnt is because of pis and electro having a psycological issue of not going all out because of underestimating hisself

these issues would be removed in a factpile battle

  14. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 3:29 pm -      #15

also this is not electrical only

  15. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 3:30 pm -      #16

and this is sidious at his power levels roughly around the return of the jedi era

  16. VunderGuy March 26, 2013 at 3:30 pm -      #17

When I saw this, I was like: “Oh..that is NOT fair!” while laughing.

Now, after seeing the parameters, I’m like, this could go either way.

  17. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 3:49 pm -      #18

    @ Assassin

So Sidious still has his Pre-Endor powers in play, but not Dark Empire, correct? Still betting on Sidious. Force-draining techniques and vital organ shutdown FTW.

  18. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 3:53 pm -      #19

    Yes pre endor

    No lightsaber

    Force and electricity only

  19. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 4:00 pm -      #20

    @ Assassin

So Force powers only. Now Sidious is in his favourite position as far as battle is concerned. As devastating as Electro is, I don’t see how he stands a chance.

  20. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 4:04 pm -      #21

    @Marcel

yeah Of the 3 battles I sent in the same request this was my least favorite. I didn’t completely realize that it wasn’t thought through until later after it had been sent in

I was really hoping that magneto vs star killer would be posted before this one.

  21. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 4:07 pm -      #22

But I still think electro could possibly have a chance of maybe pulling a win

  22. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 4:23 pm -      #23

“But I still think electro could possibly have a chance of maybe pulling a win”

I never denied that; it is entirely possible. I just think that, in the end, Electro has too many weaknesses for Sidious to exploit with his vast plethora of Dark Side techniques.

“I was really hoping that magneto vs star killer would be posted before this one.”

That sounds like a heavy stomp in Magneto’s favour. I actually like this match, though, as it still has a decent balance.

  23. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 4:57 pm -      #24

I remember somewhere electro having the ability to create an electrical based force field around hisself .

    Am I remembering corectly

  24. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 5:08 pm -      #25

The Force has been used to manipulate past energy fields in the past. Sid could just stop Electro’s heart.

  25. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 5:17 pm -      #26

    @marcel

    I give up
Ill admit this match sucked and wasn’t thought through

But I’ve just made up for my failure by sending in one of the most awesome matches ever in.

It had all the most popular works of zombie fiction in movies and games and having their armies of dead fighting to see who was the ultimate zombie

The rules were 1000 of every type of zombie ever shown in that universe allowed in each universes army

I picked around 10 different zombie universes

  26. Marcel March 26, 2013 at 5:40 pm -      #27

    @ Assassin

Sounds interesting! Just make sure no Marvel zombies are involved, lol

    “I give up
Ill admit this match sucked and wasn’t thought through”

That’s all part of the process, bro. In all fairness, it wasn’t a bad suggestion, much much better than some of the other fights I have seen on here. And at the very least, it’s not a stomp, because Electro definitely does have a way to kill Sidious. The real issue it boils down to is how Sidious uses his Force powers in battle, and what he has available to take out Electro quickly before the megashock man can utilize his immense capabilities. So don’t beat yourself up over it.

Also, if you ever have questions about a match, you can always suggest it on the Topia and get other people’s opinions on it. That really helps make for better matches overall.

  27. Awesome Assasin March 26, 2013 at 7:17 pm -      #28

    @marcel

I will probably start doing that before suggesting matches from now on. Thanks for the info

I find it funny how the pictures above show what these characters’ reactions to each other would probably be.

  32. suntan50 March 27, 2013 at 11:52 pm -      #33

Actually, Admin says that this is a battle where both are using only electrical powers. With that limitation, Electro would win, simply because he can not only absorb electricity, but (I’m not sure if this is canon) he also turned into a being made of pure energy in Spiderman 2 Enter Electro, and in that state, he is invincible to everything except generators.

Citation: I have the PS1 version of the game. He was the final boss.

Um, sorry. no link because the game is like 14 yrs old. There are no links to it, but then again, it could be because my laptop is a piece of crap

  33. suntan50 March 27, 2013 at 11:55 pm -      #34

Also, 1st time debating! Oh. Yeah. sorry for double posting.

  34. Dark God of Chaos March 27, 2013 at 11:59 pm -      #35

Video games aren’t canon, only the mainstream comics are canon for Electro

Even though, if its just electrical powers then Electro wins, since OP limited Sidious massively

  35. Marcel March 28, 2013 at 4:31 pm -      #36

    @ suntan50 and Stealth

Actually, that was only Admin’s guess. The OP stated in this thread that this is pre-Endor Sidious with all powers available sans lightsaber. Sid still wins either way, though. Even with electrical powers in play only, My gut is still inclined to go with Sidious due to reasons stated in post #10.

  36. Dark God of Chaos March 28, 2013 at 4:40 pm -      #37

Hmm, thinking about it, yeah Sidious’ “electricity” drains the opponents life force

Although if he has more than just force lightning then I have more confidence Sidious could pull this one off yet

  37. Marcel March 28, 2013 at 7:00 pm -      #38

If we take EU Pre-Endor into account, Sidious has simply just stopped people’s hearts before.

  38. suntan50 March 28, 2013 at 8:32 pm -      #39

    @ Dark God

Oh. Sorry. Then again, in comics Electro has the ability to melt steel, and he can absorb a ton of electricity. Given ample prep time, and assuming he can get the first attack, he could just fry Siddy. He wouldn’t be able to take such an extreme shock.

Citation: Duel: Electro vs Cole MacGrath

  39. Dark God of Chaos March 28, 2013 at 10:52 pm -      #40

“If we take EU Pre-Endor into account, Sidious has simply just stopped people’s hearts before.”

Yeah I know Sidious can force crush internal organs of other beings

    “Oh. Sorry”

    NP, we all learn

“Then again, in comics Electro has the ability to melt steel, and he can absorb a ton of electricity”

First sounds legit. How much electricity can he absorb

    “Given ample prep time”

Not allowed here unless stated otherwise

“he could just fry Siddy. He wouldn’t be able to take such an extreme shock.”

Maybe, but on the other hand Sidious could always mind rape him or crush his internal organs unless Electro has telekinesis to defend himself from it. Just saying

  40. Marcel March 28, 2013 at 11:51 pm -      #41

” Then again, in comics Electro has the ability to melt steel, and he can absorb a ton of electricity”

If he tried that on Sidious, he would be in serious trouble really fast, as Force Lightning, while it can be absorbed, redirected, etc., literally sucks the life force out of the living things it comes in contact with. It is electricity, in the sense that it can be used to power or overload electric devices, but the lightning itself is so much more dangerous than that. So, while Electro could absorb the Force electricity and even use it to boost his own attacks against Sidious, he wouldn’t be able to stop it from draining his life force or causing him extreme pain, thus succumbing either very slowly of very quickly (depending on how much life force he is estimated to have).

That’s just Force lightning. Given how many other techniques Sidious has in his arsenal for quick takedown moves, Electro with prep time would still be quite hard pressed to defend himself. Not to mention Sidious has experience with defending against electricity, so Electro’s baseline attacks wouldn’t be much of a problem.

  41. Dark God of Chaos March 28, 2013 at 11:53 pm -      #42

Doesn’t Sidious have energy absorption or something like Luke Skywalker? I was going to bring it up but I couldn’t find any examples of Sidious doing so and powerscaling it dubious when it comes to force users due to different powersets and shit

  42. Marcel March 28, 2013 at 11:58 pm -      #43

    @ Stealth

Yes, he does, but all the examples I can think of are post-Endor. However, I could post a list of things Sidious has done pre-Endor… (are we counting the Force Unleashed?)

  43. Dark God of Chaos March 29, 2013 at 12:19 am -      #44

Well TFU is canon to SW so I’d assume so

  44. Marcel March 29, 2013 at 1:50 am -      #45

K, list of powers Pre-Endor Sidious has at his disposal:

    Force Push
    Force Rend
    Force Crush
    Force Choke
    Force Grip
    Force Kill
    Force Lightning
    Force Repulse
    Force Levitate (hovering)
    Maelstrom
    Telekinetic projectile defense
Telekinetic hazard defense (lightning, fire, etc.)

That’s all I can remember off the top of my head. If anyone remembers more, feel free to share.

  45. Mr. Winchester March 29, 2013 at 10:05 am -      #46

An unusually configured magnetic field was created when Dillon was struck by lightning while holding live, high-tension wires and a wound reel of one-inch cable, granting him superhuman powers. Electro can generate massive quantities of electricity, theoretically up to approximately one million volts. He can employ this electrostatic energy as lightning arcs from his fingertips, and his maximum charge is more than enough to kill a normal human.
When his body is charged to high levels, he becomes superhumanly strong and fast. He can also glide over power lines by using the electricity contained therein for propulsion, and he has on occasion been shown to actually ride on lightning bolts. During a stint in prison, Doctor Octopus gave him the ideas of ionizing metals and sparking the petroleum in the fuel tank of a vehicle as a way to generate explosions. He can charge himself up to make himself more powerful. He can also absorb the energy of electrical equipment such as a power plant to increase his powers further.
In New Avengers, he was shown to fly and manipulate large amounts of electricity and machinery, when he freed all the prisoners at Rykers (although, due to the city-wide blackout preceding the event, he probably absorbed a great deal of energy beforehand).
An experimental procedure heightened his powers, allowing Electro to store and absorb a seemingly limitless amount of electricity. He also seemed to gain the power over magnetism to a certain degree, allowing him to manipulate magnetic fields and move objects in a manner similar to that of Magneto, and could overcome his old weakness to water by using the electromagnetic fields around him to vaporize water before it could touch him. He made Spider-Man beg by stimulating the bioelectric currents in his brain, and was able to defeat Nate Grey by manipulating said currents in Nate’s brain to turn his own psionic powers against him.
Electro can override any electrically powered device and manipulate it according to his mental commands.
By using an external electrical power source to recharge his body’s energy reserves, Electro could expend electricity indefinitely without diminishing his personal reserves. When he is fully charged, Electro is extremely sensitive to anything that may “short circuit” him, such as water.
Electro propels himself along magnetic lines of force in objects that have great electrical potential, such as high-tension electrical lines. He can also create electrostatic bridges to traverse upon, at the cost of a great expenditure of energy.
During the events of the storyline “The Gauntlet”, Electro became a living artificial thunderbolt, allowing him to travel through electrical appliances such as going through a light bulb and exiting through any other electronic device connected to the power source.[volume & issue needed] He was also able to transmit himself over Spider-Man’s web.[volume & issue needed]

  46. Mr. Winchester March 29, 2013 at 10:07 am -      #47

Dillon is a living electrical capacitor, powered by the micro-fine rhythmic muscle contractions that normally regulate body temperature. He can generate electrostatic energy at a rate of about 1,000 volts per minute and store up to 1,000,000 volts allowing him to emit lightning arcs from his fingertips at speeds of up to 1,100 feet per second, achieving a maximum distance of about 100 feet. In addition, he can override electrically powered devices and manipulate them mentally, travel along conductive surfaces (such as power lines) at speeds as fast as 140 mph, create electrostatic “bridges” to travel varying distances and disrupt Spider-Man’s ability to cling to walls. When fully charged, however, Electro becomes extremely sensitive to anything that can “short circuit” his abilities, particularly water.

Ah found a link to electro’s abilities. Sorry about not being able to actually send the link, but as previously stated, my computer SUCKS. I can’t even have 2 tabs open at once… IT FREEZES!

    Oh. yeah, the link.

    www.comicvine.com/electro/4005-3228/
“after years of experience and practice to where Electro has learned to use and harness his powers making him a deadly opponent. At this level or higher, Electro’s body weight would find itself weightless when using his powers. Because of this, Electro could easily travel on power lines, ride pure electricity, and even levitate with some flight. When Electro’s powers reach at a higher level, his body finds itself generating and giving off more electricity than before. At this state, Electro’s manipulation over electricity increases to where he could even tamper with the minds of humans, mutants, and even those with psychic abilities. When Electro performs this move, his victims would find themselves in an agonizing state of sheer pain, even powerful psychics have also fallen victim to this as well. Another factor is that Electro’s body becomes fully electric to where if he were to be physically touched, the amount of absorbed electricity would carry forward to the individual who’s touching him, causing a deadly shock that would kill a normal human being.”

It goes on to talk about his Magneto like control over magnetism.

Electro may just be able to tamper with sideous’ force powers!

  48. suntan50 March 31, 2013 at 1:53 am -      #49

However, he also has to have an outside source of energy because if he discharges from his own personal source, it causes him great pain and fatigue.

  49. Dark God of Chaos March 31, 2013 at 1:56 am -      #50

“Electro may just be able to tamper with sideous’ force powers!”

How? He has no way of interacting with the force, unless he’s been shown interacting with anything similar. Besides, given Sidious’ energy absorption he can just absorb the electricity. Plus he can just force crush his heart, or his lungs, or his brain, or whatever, since Electro has no telekinesis or teleportation thus no defense against Sidious’ force techniques

Plus, precog, Sidious will always be one step ahead of him

Oh and him and Windu were fighting so fast that Anakin, who can evenly fight Obi-Wan was incapable of getting anything other than brief blurs of their lightsabers in ROTS so…. yeah

  50. suntan50 April 1, 2013 at 4:33 pm -      #51

Assuming force powers are psychic abilities or something similar, Electro can mess with Sideous’s mind, causing him to lose focus, and breaking his powers. (see my last post) Of course, because Sideous has no way to defend against this, he would have to instakill Electro.

The link further states that Electro has some control over magnetism, since electricity and magnetism are so closely related. It says he may even have Magneto’s level of control over it, as Magneto himself suspected when he was trying to recruiit him.

Electro’s mask also helps his electricity grant AoE damage.

Damn… I hate having to post long posts.

  51. suntan50 April 1, 2013 at 4:39 pm -      #52

    also
    @ marcel

i don’t think there’s a power called force kill. If there was, all the sith would be unstoppable.

  52. Marcel April 1, 2013 at 4:46 pm -      #53

    @ Suntan

That’s what it is dubbed due to what it does; all it really is is a highly advanced/brutalized form of telekinesis. An adept Jedi can counter it, and can even perform it if he/she lets go of Jedi restraint. All it really does is instantly stop the heart (even rupture it)

    @ Dark God of Chaos

When you consider that both Anakin and Obz have tagged and evaded things that travel and/or operate at roughly lightspeed due to said precog, it really makes things more painful for Electro at this point. Or less painful, depending on how fast Sidious kills him.

  53. StealthRanger April 3, 2013 at 10:59 pm -      #54

Because I can, teh Windu vs Sidious fight:

    ROTS Novelisation
“Anakin blinked and rubbed his eyes again. Maybe he was still a bit flash-blind the Korun Master seemed to be fading in and out of existence, half swallowed by a thickening black haze in which danced a meter-long bar of sunfire. Mace pressed back the darkness with a relentless straight-ahead march; his own blade, that distinctive amethyst blaze that had been the final sight of so many evil beings across the galaxy, made a haze of its own: an oblate sphere of purple fire within which there seemed to be dozens of swords slashing in all directions at once. The shadow he fought, that blur of speed-could that be Palpatine? Their blades flared and flashed, crashing together with bursts of fire, weaving nets of killing energy in exchanges so fast that Anakin could not truly see them-But he could feel them in the Force.”

At least teh most relevant part

  54. Marcel April 6, 2013 at 3:54 pm -      #55

“Assuming force powers are psychic abilities or something similar,”

They aren’t, really. The Force is an energy field that binds the galaxy together. Sidious simply has more connection to it that an average guy and has learned how to manipulate it. Force powers in a nutshell.

“Electro can mess with Sideous’s mind, causing him to lose focus, and breaking his powers. (see my last post)”

Not if his mind is protected by the Force. And he himself further protected by a lightning shield.

“Of course, because Sideous has no way to defend against this”

    See above.

  55. suntan50 April 7, 2013 at 5:09 am -      #56

Magnetism does the same thing as the force it seems, and electro has a better connection to it than sideous does with the force. Magneto isn’t exactly strangerrs with it.

  56. suntan50 April 26, 2013 at 7:35 pm -      #57

Magnetism holds atoms together, they’re usually polar molecules, and even nonpolar ones have electrons bonded together. Even if his mind is guarded by the force, following my line of thinking, Electro can manipulate it. Hell, Electro could technically Bioleech Sideous ala Cole MacGrath via stealing all the electrical pulses that keep him alive. He’d have to use the force just to stand up, and that’s assuming electro doesn’t instakill him.

    ———————————————————————————————————————–
I’m grasping if you can’t tell
but this seems to make sense.
Electro doesn’t seem to have a low maximum range for draining energy, so all he needs to do is get close enough to Sideous to kill him.

But I’m not sure if his healing factor would count as “adding life force” for force lightning. It may kill him, but I doubt it would stop him from attacking.

  57. EA_Destroyer_Of_Franchises March 17, 2014 at 1:53 am -      #58

Lol, Electros face is like “Yeah, your gonna die!” and Sidious’ face is like “Who the hell is this guy?” But anyway, I think Sidious takes this.
