Hmmm… hard to tell, there is a Mission in SC2 where you have to kill him… without getting whiped by him alone…

I gotta add, the player chooses the ideal troops and so on to kill him, and they got nothing compareable to a Xenomorph Warrior…

Knowing nothing on Maar but knowing Xenos and Protoss I’ll go with the named (and therefore obviously more Badass than standard units) Protoss

Sorry for the double-post:
In some Starcraft-Wiki I found following facts:
-Maar is a named (Protoss/Zerg)-Hybrid Destroyer.
- As such he has the ability to do mind Manipulation and has Void-based powers.
-When connected to an energy-source he can come back to live after beeing “killed” – Maybe he dies if he looses the source, not sure about that.
-It needs a considerable amount of damage to take him down, he kills Protoss Zealots and Stalkers with ease, maybe having troubles with Immortals, since they have additional protection when recieving heavy damage.

I tend to favour Maar in this battle!

Maar was the first hybrid to be awakened. He was faced by Zeratul after it subjugated three Zhakul Preservers. Zhakul was a Protoss Archive world. He used the Preservers’ energy to reincarnate each time Zeratul killed his body. He had the ability to lock his enemies in a graviton prison, which suspended them helplessly while giving them pain, he had a blink ability similar to Zeratul’s, he could blast his enemies with a ball of bio-plasma, and he could utilise a psionic shokwave to push back attackers and stun them. He could also mind control/corrupt most Protoss, with the most notable exception being Zeratul.

I’m not an expert at all on lore, but here’s what I could find: factpiletopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1183&p=27182&hilit=zealot+shield#p27182
There was a calc done by Sapper putting Zealot shields at capable of withstanding 38 megajoules. Going by gameplay mechanics, it takes 2.5 hits from Maar to take out a Zealot’s shields which puts Maar at 15.2 megajoules a hit (the calc was made based on gameplay mechanics, Zealot shields are stronger in manga apparently.)
On to Maar’s psionics, Maar can detect the Xeno’s presence, release a psionic shockwave (not calced or anything but can knock a roughly 5m tall mech back) Maar can also teleport, and float targets in the air for a short period of time.

Higher tier Protoss can psionic storm planets. Even untrained Protoss (mook zealots) can destroy swaths of land with theirs. Xeno gets stomped
At least its not Wank-Blitzing or Hax-Stomping at work if its a stomp-fest for either side.
What about a PredAlien Queen?

No manner of Xenomorph, or of its varied sub-iterations are sufficient. If Sapper was right in his calcs, the Maar oneshots the Xeno Queen, much less a bog-standard warrior.
-
Acid Blood possibly might have an effect, but given the psionics, the chances of getting close enough to strike are minimal.
-
Bad match was bad and not very well thought out.
Not another rushed-up fight.
Most Rushed-up engagements can be worthwhile if enough people are willing to hazard the risks, but the fact that this one seems like a dud feels like a let-down.
I just hope I hear word on when Judge Hitman can notify me to let me know if any group fight I’d send him might be up so I can work on more of my projects.

I never played SC2 (but after playing SC, I will play 2 some day), but knowing a bit about the Protoss and knowing the capabilities of the Xeno (that includes Xeno Warrior type), I was expecting this was going to be a wave after wave of Xeno Warriors just to see how far can Maar go before dying.
But just one isn’t going to do, and now that I know that Zeratul had trouble putting this guy down (it’s freaking Zeratul) a wave after wave won’t be enough.

Bring the entire xeno army against maar, maybe if he is low shield and health maar then he may win. If hes like the maar late mission (he gets stronger and stronger when he dies and revives), then every xeno in the aliens universe would get stomped on.
