Master Chief Vs Star-Lord

Master Chief Vs Star-Lord

Suggested by Richard Rider

Here we have Hall of Fame winner Master Chief (Halo) facing off against a newcomer to FactPile from the Marvel universe, Star-Lord (Peter Quill).

For this fight, it takes place in London.

Both are armed with their standard loadouts and are actively hunting for each other while avoiding the obvious attention they would draw from the locals.

Who wins?

On a more serious note, how powerful are Peter Quill’s blaster pistols?

    Another stomp, eh?

I don’t have any scans right now, but some of Star-Lord’s feats include defeating Thanos (there were circumstances, but still), defeating Annihilus, and he has weapons called “Element Guns”, which I believe, at their strongest, can blow up a mountain.

The irony? When Star-Lord appeared in the Avengers cartoon, he was voiced by Steve Downes…the man who voiced Master Chief.

oh the pain of some of these MC matches.

Master Chief can actually win this because these are Star-Lords abilities (From Marvel Universe Wiki): Star-Lord is highly athletic, a skilled marksman and swordsman, and proficient at hand-to-hand combat. After overcoming his lifetime of hatred, Star-Lord took a vow to never take another life unless absolutely necessary. His greatest asset is his partner and would-be lover, Ship.
But then again his weapons might be to much for Master Chief (Also from the Marvel Universe WIki):Star-Lord wielded the Element Gun, which can generate and manipulate the four ancient elements: earth, air, fire, and water. The Gun actually serves as a portal in space, drawing the above elements from the planet. While the supply of these is practically limitless, removal of excessive amounts of one form may up set the balance on that planet, with catastrophic consequences. The use of the Element Gun is limited only by Star-Lord’s will, focus, and imagination.
So if Master Chief shoots first he can win but if not he gets obliterated.
Star-Lord is really just Nick Fury in space with some uber weapons but he still has the durability of a normal human.

I just finished Halo 4, so I’m gunning for John. He’s got more experience, isn’t on a non-lethal dogma, and he’s a super solder. But it all depends on their load outs, because John has several, as does Peter. John’s had everything from a Assault Rifle and Magnum to a DMR and SAW.

    What can Star-Lord do?

  9. tau43 December 28, 2012 at 2:07 pm -      #9

    “What can Star-Lord do?”
-He’s a good fighter, in both hand-to-hand and ranged. He survived and escaped the Negative Zone. He is very strong, he knocked a gorilla-guy off his feet and backwards with a punch. While this is impressive, MC has has done similar with Brutes.

How fast is he? Does he have any bullet/laser dodging feats?

“How fast is he? Does he have any bullet/laser dodging feats?”
-He’s fairly quick on his feet. I don’t have anything on dodging, but someone else might.

Yea i think people need to give chief a load out because i dont think he has a “standard” load out.

A Suppressor really? Maybe a Lightrifle instead, something with accuracy?

  15. Hitman H94 December 28, 2012 at 4:44 pm -      #15

If he has a Suppressor and a Boltshot, the only way he is doing any damage is if he s close.
    -
However with a Boltshot he could maybe get it over and done with, how much damage can Quill’s armor take?

  16. Nomad December 28, 2012 at 5:33 pm -      #16

Awesome! About time Star-Lord makes an appearence. Thisshould be very close.

  17. Cananatra December 28, 2012 at 6:31 pm -      #17

Is Star-Lord’s armour bullet proof? If not he loses.

  18. CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets December 28, 2012 at 6:36 pm -      #18

@Richard What armor abilities will MC get?

  19. Nomad December 28, 2012 at 8:29 pm -      #19

I can’t really find anything on Star-Lord’s armor. I’ll do some more digging.

Starlord? As in the general of the Shi’ar imperial guard (above gladiator) and recent Nova force commander Starlord? Stomp….

  21. Nomad December 28, 2012 at 9:10 pm -      #21

According to the Nova Corps, Star-Lord has amassed a count of over 350000 murders

“while avoiding the obvious attention they would draw from the locals.”
    .
Is there a Comic/Video Game Convention nearby?
    .
Nobody’s going to be using flashy weapons here, and even then they have to escape as soon as they fire a volley of shots.
    .
The next option is to stick to back alleys and wait for the other to pass by.
    .
Finally they can simply buy some trenchcoats and fedoras, look for the enemy, and hope the other doesn’t find them first.

I don’t know much about Star-Lord, other than in the EMH he was voiced by Steve Downes, but I doubt he’s a pushover.

This is what Marvel.com says about him
    -power
“Star-Lord wore a costume that enabled him to survive in space. It is possible that the costume has actually altered his physical structure, as he does not need to wear any helmet, or any form of life support to survive the nearly absolute zero, airless vacuum. He can fly through air or in space, presumably another attribute of his costume. He possesses enhanced healing and uses personal energy shields. In the event that he were injured beyond his own ability to recover, Ship could administer emergency medical or surgical care. Star-Lord later received a number of cybernetic implants, including his left eye, which allows him to see all energy spectra, as well as a memory chip in his brain, which gives 100% recall.”

  29. OMEGAMI December 30, 2012 at 5:19 am -      #29

Just how good is his regen and his shields?
It says that his ship can administer medical and surgical care if he gets too hurt, so his regen is not like Wolverine or something that will regen organ tissue very fast.
    -
It also says that he has some impressive implants, Chief has an implant that allows him to equip an AI that can do similar things (A ”know it all” as we might say).
I know I know, some of you consider Cortana to be outside help, problem is that you guys need to realize that Cortana is an AI just like any other AI given to a Spartan-II, it is a TOOL (like they say at the beginning of Halo 4), a TOOL to maintain Spartans mental condition, an extra pair of eyes and an extra brain for quick comprehension.
Consider it as an electronic chip that gives a Spartan more RAM, if you think an electronic chip that all Spartans have equipped is outside help then we might as well remove the assault rifle as that is a useful tool for killing.

”Master Chief can have the Hologram ability”
And I thought that was useless until I decided to give it a go, it’s surprising that a lot of people fall for it, I guess it’s instinct on FPS to shoot anything that moves and think later.
My assassination kill counts are stacking up pretty good now that I started using the Hologram, just when I thought all mods except cloak were useless.
But can’t this guy see ”energy spectra”? Does this allow him to see what the Hologram truly is?
If that’s the case then Cloak is out of the question as well, maybe Promethium Vision can help snuff him out before he can get the drop on Chief for the first shot win.

Welcome! Battle requests are on the right side, right under HEADS UP tab.

    @Metroid95

    Welcome to the site!

    @OMEGAMI

Yeah i always thought hologram was useless but i tend to fall for it frequently. Also how many years of experience does star-lord have? Because John having 40+ years of experience fighting against various alien species, A.I. constructs and human may give him an advantage.

P.s. I know star-lord faced cosmic beings too, i.e Annihilus, phalanx etc.

    @tau43

Correct. Master Chief isn’t on a non-lethal dogma.

He’s on a straight old, good fashioned lethal dogma.

    Lethality for the win!

  35. Richard Rider May 17, 2013 at 12:17 pm -      #35

Since this match hasn’t reached the 50 post mark give Master Chief hammerspace for all his weapons from Halo 4.

  36. Nomad June 27, 2013 at 5:28 am -      #36

Caught up on my GoTG reading. Funny enough, a big battle of the series takes place in London. Good pick, Nova.

Might make things tough for, Quill. Certainly a very fair Master Chief match. I’d love to see some life come back too it.

The flight is really going to help him. It gives Star-Lord the edge over Master Chief in maneuverability for sure.
