Here is a straight up grudge fight.
Ryu from Street Fighter up against Terry Bogard of the Fatal Fury franchise.
They meet in the bar from the TV show Cheers.

They don’t fight because they’ll destroy the set.
My favorite characters of Capcom and SNK. Sadly, it won’t be even considering Ryu’s feats are better than Terry’s.
Ryu wins. Then again I know more about him than I do the other guy
Btw, is it me or do matches here seem to be getting less comments nowadays?
It’s because the matches are becoming more and more limited in popularity and info. Lame matches dont gain much traction.
I think everyone agrees ryu takes it,the other guy isn’t know much.
“It’s because the matches are becoming more and more limited in popularity and info. Lame matches dont gain much traction.”
Yeah true I suppose
Sol Badguy solos both
That alot of people haven’t been here in a while,maybe its the end of factpile maybe it’s just a phase.
or maybe the mayans were right… its the end for factpile o0
@Judge AkumaTh at #03
Are there Street Fighter residents that Terry has better odds against?
I tried to request to Judge Hitman to no puny extent to go and post up that group fight that’s meant to be full-blown war, I’m not sure why its not getting posted at all. T_T
At least if it were Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear vs Sanguinius or Skarbrand, I’d understand, or even that IBR fight for Santa Claus I’m trying to gather aid in doing, what gives with what’s going on, lately?
“That alot of people haven’t been here in a while,maybe its the end of factpile maybe it’s just a phase.”
Ya just gotta know where to look. It’s simply been because the last couple of fights have been lackluster. I mean, these people are street+ level, and no one’s heard of the second guy.
True very true star trek vs star wars has been buzzing.
@CC: If we go by Capcom Vs SNK 2, it’s Ken. Ken doesn’t have many of the feats Ryu has despite the same training. In fact, they are similar to each other.
And how come no one remember Terry Bogard? The Lone Wolf? One member of the Fatal Fury Team of King of Fighters? He defeated Geese. He raised Rock Howard. I bet you all know Kyo…
@Judge AkumaTh at #13
Kyo is awesome, he could use a fight or two on the site.
Although I get your point with Bogard vs Ken, Ken is more reasonable a foe for Bogard to fight than Ryu is, it seems.
@Councilor Aelfinn at #11
I did happen to be one of the 3 guys who suggested a 3-vs-3 fight involving the Knights of the Cross from the Dresden Files against the Azure Knights from the dot hack universe, its pretty much agreed to be a draw for mainly two reasons, one of them is that there’s not enough people debating because the site wasn’t very familiar with either at the time, and two, because both sides cancel each other out!
If I have to go for #03, its this:
No One is willing to learn, yet they want to put up with trolls!
The 3rd is offensive on me, if I gotta be honest.
Wait a minute. Based off What I’ve seen in the movies Terry has higher levels of pure destruction feats when it comes to powers. He can create tornadoes and can cover himself in pure energy while he attacks. And if I recall he defeated Mars aka Ares who was made of pure energy.
JIC, you have vids ready at the moment?
Also he defeated a bullet timer of higher reaction speed in Jammin who caught a bullet between his fingers and through it through the skull of the man with enough speed to create a sonic boom who fired the bullet meaning he also had an extremely high level of strength as well.
@CC-Of course. Will wait until people actually come back cause this looks like a another dud.
Hmmm if thats true then this guy might have a better chance than I thought
What kind of destructive feats does Terry have?
“What kind of destructive feats does Terry have?”
In Terry’s 2nd fight against Jammin both of them burning knuckled each other and was causing the building to come apart around them from the energy waves.
skip to :52 seconds
And in Terry and Jammin’s 1st fight Lord Loacorn or however you spell it had Terry cornered and injured and he tossed out a Power Gieser powerful enough to destroy the entire top half of the building. It didn’t do any damage though surprisingly. Also Terry punched Jammin hard enough to send him into a car completely crushing the engine block
For reference here is Jammin’s bullet timing
Skip to 2:01
Here is Terry Bogard Senpuken or Hurricane Punch. First time he ever used it so it was used slowly. We see in later movies he can use It on the fly
Here’s him using it with more skill
And here’s his fight with Mars
Terry practically flies in this scene.
Akuma blows up asteroids and islands. Ryu murders Akuma.
Redrum and Murder on opposite sides. I find this slightly amusing.
“Akuma blows up asteroids and islands. Ryu murders Akuma.”
I’ve heard of the island thing, where’d the asteroid feat come from?
@Murder – a match that isn’t popular isn’t automaticly “lame” you ignoramus.
In fact, most popular matches are the lamest matches ever. Frak DC, Frak Marvel, FRAK Dragonball (or whatever super-popular, owerblown crap anime is in today) and frak everyone.
Oh, seasons greetings btw.
” Ryu murders Akuma.”
When? Last I checked no is fucking with Akuma in the street fighter verse(except for gouken)
@TrashMan at #25
I’d tell you that you just have a legit spark of genius and I love you for it, but I ain’t that kind of guy with the latter.
@Lowk at #24 as long as you don’t punch my face needlessly:
Probably from Asura’s Wrath, but I suspect that Akuma might have needed to go to Shin or Oni forms to pull that off.
What Chuck said. Last time I checked Akuma and Gouken were the strongest characters in street fighter and Ryu nor Ken are nowhere near their level. Stop it.
I’ve heard of the island thing, where’d the asteroid feat come from?
The ending in Capcom Fighting Evolution.
FINALLY! A FIGHT I’M INTERESTED IN! *New Guy*
First off, lets get down to Ryu. My main here is powerful, sooo powerful his power level equals 0……
In all seriousness, Ryu is stated to have an infinite amount of power in both his satsui no hado and regular forms. However how powerful he is, depends on the game he’s appearing in for various reasons. In the main series, the strongest opponents he’s ever faced were Gouken, Akuma, and Ono (Guy faced Akuma down…. They didn’t fight because they knew they were equals…… EQUALS)
In all honesty, he has yet to beat any of these three while they were trying. He has also yet to control his full power (hence his ever going quest to hone his power).
(5:01 for those who can’t hit current time)
However, there is a theory that he holds back…. A LOT. The same movie has the guy teleporting
so fast when he steps he can’t be seen.
(2:49 for curbstomping satsui no hado)
This probably explains why he’s able to transition well in any crossover game, dealing techniques that in theory, could hurt galactus… But whether he could actually hurt Galactus is a different story because MVC3 is pretty much WTF (In game mechanic).
It should be noted, that while Ken hardly fights or travels or trains as much as Ryu, the guy see’s him as he equal for good reason. Ken’s that good.
So Terry fighting Ken as equals should say something.
There’s also the Alpha movie where Ryu shoots a Kamehameha
(1:26:22 for you guys for him about to shoot it)
Besides that, Ryu is frequently seen having problems controlling his powers. To the point he has problems cutting a waterfall in half (Retconned in Super street fighter IV)
The guy is noted for fluctuating power in almost all of his appearances (In fact, the entire Alpha series was devoted to this.)
Hilariously, someone noted Ryu murders Akuma….. That is by far…. God knows….. Hilarious……. (Ironic since an Akuma player recently beat Daigo (THE RYU PLAYER) in a major tourney)
Ryu has never… Ever…. Really beaten Akuma
The guy wrecks an island when he leaves, stating to come find him when you put on mens jeans instead of diapers. Akuma is noted for having one major loss…. Gouken… Unfortunately I can’t find that loss, so according to the Games… The Guy really hasn’t loss to anyone. It also isn’t noted who won in SFIV, but considering Gouken is ALIVE….. It’s noted to be a draw.
Ryu is strong, far from the strongest but strong. However his power inconsistencies due to multiple incarnations of the series, not to mention his power fluctuations because of his mood/ego prevents him from rarely ever going full blown badass. Besides, he wouldn’t succumbed to the satsui no hado because its not a death match… Not that he would agree to it anyway…..
So not only does his attitude and mood limit him from going satsui no hado, he has no reason to since this is a * Fight*. His character has no interest in fights to the death.
Terry however has killed multiple people to protect the peace. Besides, the worst Terry has ever sunken was being a drunk alcoholic who got his ass kicked by everyone because he lost a fight. But considering that he potentially has the power to level ANY of the KOF antagonist…… He’s not to be messed with.
Yeah pretty much what ReDruM said, since I too was under the impresssion Akuma was a top tier in SF and Ryu was nowhere on his level
@D2.J and everyone else saying Akuma > Ryu.
All this is true. Akuma is someone who is in control of the Satsui No Hado so all those feats he is able to do. Ryu’s whole story is to fight it off, which is holding it back. And I believe Gouken, Ryu’s master and Akuma’s brother, sealed that from Ryu in his ending. So while Ryu is strong, he isn’t Akuma levels strong.
But the rules of Factpile state that characters who do not like to kill will want to kill in these types of fights. So in short, Ryu will want to kill Terry.
As for Terry, he also has the “I don’t like killing” deal as Ryu. After all, despite everything Geese did to him and his family, he tried to save him from falling off a tower. Geese didn’t allow him to rescue him.
It’d be an amazing fight, but in all honesty, Ryu would do to Terry what Capcom does to SNK in video game sales.
Ryu defeated Akuma and Bison, and Ken (when he went brainwashed)
