Batman Vs The Punisher

A fight that’s actually hard to decide upon.
I guess the first round goes to the Batman though, for what he’s worth he’s a really good martial artist.

This one seems to go to Batman. While Batman does not have guns and Punisher does, Batman dodges gunfire almost every night, so it’s not like he has never faced an opponent with a gun. While Punisher his armor is designed to stop gunfire not hand to hand combat, and sense Batman has no guns and almost completely engages in hand to hand combat,and is very good at it, it seems to me that Batman would take this one.

round 1 I could see Batman winning pretty easy with his martial arts skills.
round 2 pretty close and I want to lean towards Punisher pulling a win.
round 3 I don’t know how good Punisher is at prep but if he’s not able to match Batman but have better fire power he can’t win.
round 4 same deal really
bonus round I have no eartlhy idea.

Battle 1: Batman because Batman is an expert fighter
Battle 2: Batman because he has proved that he can take out armed enemies in a warehouse with no prep in the games
Battle 3: Batman for just the reason he had the edge in 2 and then he even more help now
Battle 4: Punisher or Batman, because now he can have someone call out shots and tell him were Batman is, although Batman may be able to take punisher out before he is able to find Batman with the help of oracle, this one could go either way]
Bonus: Lol, no idea, but my moneys on Batman

Bats has faced incredibly skilled opponents before. Bats’ stealth tactics would throw Punisher of long enough for Batman to pull out a win. especially if he has prep time.

Scenario 1: Batman gives the Punisher a heart attack with his Bat Glare. Or he just bodies him because he’s a better martial artist with absurd physical stats.

Scenario 2: Batman sprays him with man-repellent and the Punisher explodes a few seconds later. Alternatively, he uses Batarangs capable of turning into swords and cuts him in half. Or maybe he could throw one of those 80kg pills of acid neutralizer he apparently carries all the time and crack the punisher’s skull with it. Maybe he uses tasers or sonic guns, maybe he gasses him. Maybe he uses some leg brace makes his already horrendously powerful legs even stronger. Or he tosses some marbles and the Punisher just slips on them and falls out a window.

Round 1 could go either way. Batman is the superior fighter but Punisher has super human resistance to pain. That could be the edge he needs. That plus he’s far more willing to kill then Batman is which also gives him the edge though if he knows Batman’s status as a vigilante who doesn’t take life he may be reluctant to kill him.

Round 2 could also go either way if he has a more accurate weapon then an AK-47. Punisher is an expert marksman. Give him a marksman’s weapon. Isn’t Batman’s suit bulletproof though?

Round 3 could go either way. Punisher is just as deadly with prep time as Batman is but his version tends to be fatal and final while Batman hauls them off to jail. Not much preparation he could do though with his limited resources in this match. His prep time is recon the opposition for weeks then do a hit with the necessary tools for the job which could be anything from C4 under the limo to nailing him as with a Skrull Sniper rifle at the top of some building from 7 miles away while Bruce is walking out the front door. And yes these are things he’s actually done before though the sniping was foiled by Sentry who he then outsmarted to get away.

Round 4 is pretty much the same as 3 but wit added parties yelling into their ear.

Also keep in mind that Punisher has fought and defeated opponents as deadly if not more so then Batman. Bullseye comes to mind almost immediately who’s accuracy and patience in his preparation is supernatural in nature. An example is him destroying a car with a hub cap not with strength but with pure accuracy on the fly

Standard kevlar like what cops usually use is only good for small pistol rounds. It provides little more protection than an extra sweater against an AK.

Kevlar with plates, like the military uses will help more, but even then won’t take sustained fire. It’s really good for just making sure that if a sniper tries to shoot you in the heart, it’ll just crack your sternum, leaving you alive long enough to get behind something and call for help. There is no body armor today that you can wear that’ll save you from someone unloading an AK into you. It’ll break up the armour and help keep your now liquified body together in a convienient container for the mortician.

This is true but I mean’t comic book bulletproof. I know that if someone unloads an AK into you you’re pretty much done but comic books like to take liberties especially with technologically inclined characters like batman with their quantum powered doohikies and. Not a DC fan except for Superman which is why I asked cause according to some he has hammerspace and other reality slapping shit in his suit.

The suit is currently armor and I think the cape is as well. Though I think it most for small arms and to help survive in the case of stuff like rifles. I think the most durable part of the suit might be the gauntlets and cape as he normally uses those to defend.

Round 1: Punisher
Round 2: Punisher
Round 3: Punisher
Round 4: maybe Batman.
Feats from War’s End alone cinch it. The Punisher took a hell of a beating while fighting Bullseye, involved nails, sledgehammers, and construction equipment, and walked it off. Later when the final showdown happened, Frank was already messed up by previous fighting, still beat Kingpin, and at least 7 gunmen in a trap they laid. Kingpin ran. Didn’t give up chased down Kingpin, put a bullet through his brain. Made it home, bled out.
Somewhere it said Nick Fury asked how he died It said the coroner laughed and said he was on page 8 of the report.

yeah, Harpoon was still pretty fast, and again, those are the guys trained to kill heroes during Civil War arc. They got paid to handle people like Captain America, Blade, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Hercules, etc.

Pretty sure he’d only be able to do so in the prep. Bats has survived explosions, has various Ironman-lite armor, and can remote control his bat plane.

Not if there’s a smoke screen obscuring his view. Also batarangs aren’t just shurikens. They ca be explosive, they can be trick shot around like caps shield, and the can arc or comeback .

In all seriousness though, people comparing Batman to mere ninjas is almost as ridiculous as comparing the Punisher to any other decent gunman. Just because the Punisher can sense a ninja’s attack coming doesn’t mean that Batman isn’t a SERIOUS cut above regular ninjas. Batman owns ninjas even in the movies, for gosh sakes! Just pointing out that Batman has the ability to sneak up on the Punisher and catch him off guard. If Frank somehow manages to spot Bruce before that, though, that’s another story…

While I agree that Frank isn’t a Hollywood idiot who stands in a smokescreen, there is a significant smake radius to those theings, and depending on how Many Bats can rapid-fire spam all over the place, there will still be several seconds worth of space for Bruce to make a move. BTW, anybody got a scan on how long the Punisher can hold his breath for, or stamina (not durability) feats?

I think punisher takes most of the fights with trouble but he still takes it.

He fights people like batman and wins,he has no problem fighting dirty, he is trained in martial arts also.

With prep his is more lethal than batman(even though batman isnt lethal), he is smart on the fly, like how he escaped a russian army when it was him,some guy and a little girl. He snuck into the base,set up camp,and got surrounded by the russian army. he escaped on the fly.

Even know they are non canon,he killed the marvel universe,fought and suvived alone with zombified marvel heros.

Round 1 seem fairly in Bats court. Both are fairly durable characters who can endure a lot but in addition to knowing several means of beat down he’s also versed in ways of quickly subduing without the pure brute force.

Round 2 The only thing Punisher has that might hurt Bats is sustained fire from the Ak. But in addition to being capable of dodging bullets, his cape/gauntlets can act as shields, he regularly uses shadows and cover, and often uses smoke to help shroud his movement.
He probably also could take the AK out the table via super magnet.

Round 3&4 I’m not sure about right now. I’ll have to see what bat has.

This is kind of a lot, it was a long event. Sorry for the wall

This how his days went went during the court of owls.
Has to fight out of suit vs superhuman assassin. Fights him(holding back), gets pretty cut up, gets kicked through a window, at that point he believes it almost impossible to grab or do anything due to pain and blood loss

Then goes investigating later, gets caught in an explosion(post 31/laser feat) which adds to his injuries that was still healing from two days ago.

Note this all goes down(fall incident, fighting through gangs, explosions) with Bruce not getting any sleep since the fall. So Alfred tries to get him to sleep with tranquilizers

Then when out again he get he pushed through a wall and falls into a maze, He ends up having to(knowingly) get drugged since the water was the only thing keeping him from dehydrating. He gets starved and tired from going through a maze designed to be a mindfuck of an experience for days. He was then stabbed from the back through stomach, then punched several times and kicked through a wall by a Talon(same guys enhanced enough to dent metal door by hitting it). He manages to get up, fight back, knock the talon through wall(twice actually), beats him and is able to come up with a plan to escape.(already posted that somewhere)

He escapes into freezing water, drowns since the surface was frozen, saved by a friend, but decides that he doesn’t want her help, walks home in the cold/snowstorm(after nearly just drowning in frozen water).

Now he all fucked up from all that mention above. He gets home wrapped in bandages and all, in his pajamas. Still recuperating, they decide to send several talons to him(see second without suit fight in post #9). Fight them off long enough to get to the batcave and suit up in a hulking batarmor. They fight, he beats some, they eventually overwhelm the suit then proceeded to use their strength to rip it apart. It get cold

In the finale, Bats still hasn’t had enough time to heal, comes to the end of the owl case and goes through this-smashed into buildings, keeping from being sucked into turbine, going through walls, explosion, and falling. Yet he was still able to fight back by blinding him and escape the destruction.

Frank is accused of killing cops, Spiderman reads that he used his web fluid to do it, spider beat him up, Frank fight dirty allowing him to get away. Then SM takes it to the Avengers where cap agrees with spider that someone should do something about Frank so he send Black Widow since spider would be to emotionally invested.
