What would happen if Cthulhu awakened in the Star Wars Universe at the bottom of Naboo?
How would he interact with the force?
What would he do?
Would anyone be able keep in check?
What would become of the New Republic?

Luke solos it. The end
-
But srsly, is anything really known about Cthulu other than the mind rape thing? Which several Jedi’s and Sith’s seem to be quite resistant to
-
And I have no idea what he would do in the SW-verse
I would think he’d probably either be a void in the force or a huge well of Darkside energy. That or he would show up similar to Abeloth and just be a massive force being.
What would he do? I’m betting he would do whatever it is he normally tries to do or whatever he normally does. Beings like him aren’t really bothered by waking up in a new universe.
Would anyone be able to keep him in check….kind of depends on who’s around. I don’t know how Abeloth compares but enough powerful force users could handle Abeloth, (a handful of them) however Cthulhu may be more than anyone can handle.
As for the New Republic whoever had money on extragalactic abomination being the next threat just won a lot of money.
Who is Cthulhu? Heard of him before but know nothing about him.
Cthulhu mind-rape vs Abeloth mind-rape, Sith Lord mind-rape, Jedi mind-rape etc etc
Star Wars has a lot of mind rapists.
lol, mind rapists.
Luke Skywalker and Ben Skywalker vs Cthulhu two of the most powerful Jedi force power wise in history vs Cthulhu’s madness inducing ability. and may throw in some other Jedi and Sith but no matter what it comes down to Luke if this is New Republic. Unless post Krayt is meant.
@Khaos
Cthulhu is an ancient “star god” from the Lovecraft mythos (or whatever its called). IIRC he sits in another dimension and creates mad cults around himself, can’t remember how the main characters beat him, I vaguely remember they only stalled him temporally.
What era is this, current incarnation, as in legacy era? Cause if it’s empire era, world devastating machines rip the planet to pieces and Squidward with it.
well techically a Steamboat managed to KO Cthulhu, Deathstar should reduce him so much that it takes forever for him to heal. By then there’s a new special anti Cthulhu weapon ready to kill him.
Course if it’s Palpatines era I could see Palpatine trying to take Cthulhu’s power or become as powerful as Cthulhu if he’s not already.
If palpatine’s there, he’s gonna eff it up somehow. He will probably try to ally with the bipedal octopus, and then with cthulhu’s influence over the emperor the galaxy is doomed.
@GA1911
I assume you follow the EU of star wars. Perhaps cthulhu should be given some time to build up a cult on Naboo. Is the rest of the galaxy even aware he exists? If not, he might be able to take naboo, but after that, someone (namely the emperor) will notice a new planet encompassing cult on naboo (that’s not worshiping him) and check it out.
True, it says New Republic though so I bet this is post Empire era, probably meant to be post Dark Nest crisis but could we wrong.
If Luke at his strongest is around Cthulhu has a foe that can acheive oneness (basically the ultimate force power since your merged with the force during it) and if Ben is with him make that double trouble from the father son duo since they can both achieve that state. Whether they would be able to do anything to put Cthulhu down I don’t know but still possible.
@Ford Perfect
I have read some of it, mainly the New Jedi Order series with the Vong war and the Swarm war series. I have also kept up on the Star Wars wiki and while not an expert on everything I know enough that Palpatine + Cthulhu =bad news for everyone. Palapatine being one of the strongest Sith was able to fuck up planets, and your right he would not let a cult worship some squid faced entity. If Cthulhu isn’t on the same level as Abeloth then Palpatine, Luke or anyone on that tier of Force Control can go head to head with him. If he’s that level or above though then it’s going to take a lot of Jedi, Sith, or both.
@GA1911
Oh, vong allied with cthulhu would be a terror. OR what if cthulhu mind controls the killik (if this is pre-swarm war).
1. Cthulhu immediately draws a cult of Dark Side users and extremist Jedi, along with other minions.
-
2. Uses Cult Army to capture the Centerpoint Station (provided it still exists) and transport it to a new location.
-
3. Uses CS to reallign the Stars of the Cosmos, freeing his Brother Great Old Ones from their sleep.
-
4. With his army of Star Gods, he begins a crusade of conquest.
-
As to exactly how powerful the Great Old ones are, its never really spoken I’m afraid. Lovecraft preferred to use the Scarier than Nothing trope (which I quite appreciate). However, there are some bits and pieces for some of the Gods. Aphoom-Zah for example, projects a ghostly light that freezes anything and everything it touches, encasing it in alien ice that is both seemingly unbreakable and unmeltable. His servant, Rlim Shaikorth rides a magical iceberg that carries a portable version of that (wherever the berg goes, everything freezes). This appears to be impossible to stop, bypassing the defenses of a notable wizard of the time.
-
In the case that Cthulhu can free the other GOO, then I see the path being sublter; allowing beings like Nyarlathotep to tempt Palpatine with power, thus initiating a tactical madfest where each tries to get the upper hand on the other, distracting him while Cthulhu’s mind-fuckery begins to turn the masses into cults.
-
Unless by chance Palpatine has a bunch of Elder Signs laying around under his bed.
No matter what happens here, There goes the Neighborhood!
@Admiral at #12
Darth Revan, The Sith Emperor from TOR and Darth Nihilus would still wipe Sideous into Paste or less unless you were talking about confirmed AoE attack ranges, though, just wanted to remind anyone of the fact.
@Commander Cross
WHAT THE HECK IS WITH ALL THESE UNRELATED POSTS OF YOURS!?!?!
/capslock
I don’t know if he could control the Killiks….sooner or later one would end up looking at him, then all of them go mad, that’s one flaw of a hive mind one gets fucked up by something like that it affects all of them. Course it may not be a detriment I really don’t know, but it would be big enough every Jedi in the galaxy would feel the collective snapping of the Killiks. It would be seriously quick response time too since after Abeloth Luke decided it was contingency time and looked for Mortis so he could get the dagger used to kill the Ones, aka the Father, the Daughter and the Son, Abeloth was the Mother but she was mortal drank from the fount of power and bathed in the pool of knowledge turned into Abeloth and the rest is history. But Luke went to get that dagger. Anyway the second the Killiks snap due to that immense dark pressence corrupting them all at once the Jedi are going to think Abeloth is back and go on the war path so to speak, and when that happens Cthulhu’s going to be in for it.
————–
The Vong…would be interesting…but I don’t know if they’d follow him. The bastards are pretty damn loyal to their own gods, maybe if he made them think he was one of them though. And then he has an army that the Jedi won’t realize he made, still though when the Vong go back on the war path the Jedi would realize something’s fishy, especially since that would mean Zonoma Sekot got fucked with. I…how would that affect Zonoma Sekot now that I think about it…wouldn’t the planet instantly send up a distress flare in the force.
@Ford
Actually those were related to the overall matter at hand, just not to Modern Star Wars in general itself is the thing.
Its just to send a reminder to the Admiral, really.
What happens if they were aiming at Ancient Star Wars, though?
@GA1911
Couldn’t he say he was the Slayer or something? Wut if zonama sekot went crazy from SEEING CTHULHU??? just a joke.
Yammosks are pretty squiddy looking, and they are revered as being similar in from to the Gods I think. Cthulhu is big and Squiddy and can make their heads hurt if they look at him. If he says that he’s one of the Pantheon come to punish them for abandoning their conquest, more than likely a good chunk will believe him.
@Ford
Also if this matter were to take place during Ancient Star Wars instead of Modern Star Wars*, would that Empire that created the Star Forge say anything about it, actually?
1.) (Ancient Star Wars >>>* Modern Star Wars in terms of Out-and-Out Badassitude if I gotta say anything at least!)
2.) (That was just lowballing it!)
P.S: (If you felt that I could have done worse, you’re right in which I could have, I’d need only mention one man who could have solo’d said Cosmic Horrors listed in Star Wars and the Admiral would have known who I meant in a heartbeat or less!I’ll refrain from doing so out of respect, though!)
@G-B
yeah, if this is current incarnation of the universe of New Republic Centerpoint was kind of destroyed which is why Abeloth was running around again. And she kind of did the drawing Sith and Jedi and other force sensitives to her too. So using that MO of drawing a lot of force sensitives to one point is going to alert Luke and company fairly quickly. Whether the dagger would do anything to Cthulhu I don’t know but if he does anything remotely Abeloth remeniscent the Jedi Order will be on him like flies on a corpse.
@G-B
problem would be the fact that their war gods were made up due to losing their planet, which is why once the Supreme Overlords were dead they were willing to go peaceful, so claiming to be their war god pissed about their lack of conquest may do nothing but confuse them.
@CC
You mean Lumpy?
@GA1911
If this is New republic and pre Galactic Alliance, the vong are still zealots. They would probably believe he is a god, or at least a messenger from them, although the higher up vong are not stupid and they would probably try to stop Cthulhu.
Borsk’fey’la (or however you spell his bloody name) is perfect for Cthulhu’s influence. He power hungry and not very well liked. He caused all sorts of problems on his own, and with Thulu giving him delusions of grandeur, he might be able to screw up things in the power structure bad enough that the Jedi would be distracted by that, giving Cthulhu a little more time.
Can Cthulhu have some of his squiddy friends to help him? Eldritch Abomonations vs Abeloth. Hah! Yog Sothoth vs Abeloth. I like all the “ths” in these lovecraftian names.
Bring up Ghatanothoa for a Father-Son bonding session?
The world is burning and Ghatanothoa and Cthulhu are playing baseball on its ashes.
Cthulhu: Good catch son, now lets turn everyone in the galaxy into gibbering lunatics.
It was heavily implied, if not outright stated, that if Cthulhu hadn’t been stopped in the book, then the whole world would’ve gone to shit. It’s always hard to discuss Cthulhu.
@Aelfinn
Well yeah, it’s all speculation. He never really branched out beyond earth right?
There’s probably something in the EU of the Cthulhu mythos, but I don’t know. I do know, however, that Azathoth was described as so big that all the universes were spread out before him like molecules. Just something to think about, I guess.
And doesn’t Nyarlathotep inhabit the dimension just outside reality and his breaching that would be apocalyptic, or was that Azathoth again?
@Ford at #24
No, I meant that guy whom Judge AkumaTh confessed he heard that ScrewAttack.com thought would have destroyed Skywalker in DeathBattles had they had the decency to pick him instead of the guy they went with, because the original target can apparently use Lightspeed attacks at the very least, which is faster than what the Force Can track!
@Ael
Almost all of the Great Old Ones came to earth from Space. Tsathoggua, for example, was born on Saturn (Cykranosh) but emigrated to earth to avoid being eaten by his cannabilistic uncle Cxaxukluth.
-
The Universe(s) are a creation of Big Azzy’s dreams. If he were to ever wake up, existence would spontaneously fucksplode, so there are two other Gods that play music for him to keep him asleep.
what if Cthulhu appeared at all is a better what if.
@jhud
if Cthulhu appears I’m calling the only wizard in the Yellow Pages, Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden.
@GA
Yay! Now Dresden will serve Dead Cthulhu as well! Iä Iä Cthulhu Fhtagn!
You know, there is the possibility that this Cthulhu guy could be a wound in the force…but then again, maybe not. Srsly, though, what if he were to run into Bane? Or Nihilus? or Revan? or Sion? That could get ugly.
@Marcel
He probably ends up as a dead but dreaming mess under Revan’s boot (and I still think Revan beats Bane, no matter what anybody says.
It would be a really good match to have, though! I just wish someone would have requested it already, really. Bane vs Revan! Has a nice ring to it.
I coulda sworn we had one.
Nope , just malak vs bane, you should suggest Revan vs Bane, although I suspect it will be a schist-storm.
We had a Bane vs Malak fight, I remember that. I suggested Bane vs Revan in that match, but I don’t think it ever got posted or requested by anybody else.
Dangit, Ninja’d again!!!!
NINJA, VANISH!!
*throws smoke pellet*
This would be another good fight–if it wasn’t another crap-storm waiting to happen, that is…

@Admiral at #38
I’d call for CHB or the dot hackers, one of the two might be able to make a decently effective response best-suited for combat at the very least, I’m sure.
Hopefully without Typhon or Cubia being released.
Ok, I’m sure we had that one.
Nope, never mind, that was another site.
@CC
What part of “IÄ IÄ” did you not understand? That’s the cry of countless who thought they could resist Dread/Dead Cthulhu.
Liam Neeson would come out of nowhere and kick Cthulhu’s ass.
“Nope, never mind, that was another site.”
-
Are you referring to Revan vs Nihilus?
@ PwNaGE TraiN

This right here…

PWNAGE TRAIN, MY MORTAL ENEMY!!
@Marcel
Ignore this troll, he is stoopid and ugly. And he is probably not even a Liam Neeson fan.
—
Anyway, yes i was referring to the Revan vs Nihilus match, should suggest that one too.
Now, I know next to nothing about either of you, frankly, so leave me out of this. I am not out to take sides or lamblast anybody, and just because somebody says somebody else is a troll doesn’t mean that it’s true OR that they can change, or that they make funnies. Seriously, just because somebody is labeled as a troll does not mean they are incapable of saying anything intelligent.
-
But yes, both of those matches could easily be suggested, and from the potential outcomes, quite possibly Bane vs Nihilus in addition…or just a big three-way fight between them would also be pretty awesome…
@Marcel
No, he’s just my friend, and he comes on to the site to troll matches i comment on, usually with Liam Neeson comments. About the matches, i’m not good with coming up with 1v1 scenarios, so I wouldn’t be the one to suggest it.
Well then, hurry! This is your chance to take the credit, lol
@Marcel
Nope, you can have the credit, I’m logging off for tonight,
-Stay classy FactPile
Aight, nite then
Clearly Neeson is Nylathorop turning over a new leaf in his life.
Seriously though Cthulhu can father children with stars i doubt anyone is gonna lightsaber him away if he is awake.
Wouldn’t the Deathstars turbolaser overpenetrate Cthulhu if fired at it? Cthulhu is a lot thinner than a Planet, but i don’t know the specifics on how the DS powders planets.
Godzilla was able to Deadlock Cthulhu, I’m pretty sure that any of the 3 Major Star Wars Eras(between Ancient, Modern and Future) might be having beings that are at Godzilla+ levels at the very least out there.
