Halo 4: Mecha!

Halo 4 Mecha

Thanks to Expert for the tip. Thanks to SgCombine for Video Link!

Halo 4 will have the Banshees, Ghosts and Scorpion tanks, but it will now also have the Mantis.

I can already see a few matches for this already…

I am sure they said the Mantis wouldn’t be in Multiplayer but not rally saying anything about it until I see it properly used in a match.

I’m surprised, Factpilers. I expected a lot of hate considering that some might label it a copy/rip off to grab the attention of geeks around the globe, yet I see positive feedback? So confused….

    That said:
    Mantis vs Atlas?

  16. The_Assassin711 October 2, 2012 at 9:12 am -      #16

Don’t worry Doughiest, I’ll help ya out there.
    -
I think it looks pretty stupid; too skiny for me, needs a little more meet on its bones.
    -
    -
But I probably won’t be getting Halo 4 anyway, better things to spend my limited funds on.

Me thinks a good match would be the Mantis vs District 9 Mech

    @Doughiest
    -
I think the Atlas would win, alot tougher and has kinetic barriers
    -
The Mantis does look like it’ll be pretty sweet, although might be an easy target for laser/rocket/sniper since it stands so tall

  18. Sauroposeidon October 2, 2012 at 11:54 am -      #18

I don’t think a mantis / atlas match would do well for the same reason all other matches with battletech don’t do well, and why we virtually never, ever see it on the factpile. No one really knows enough about them. Although I’ve begun reading the battletech novels lately, started on the very first one. Pretty good read so far.

This is why I rarely suggest any matches…mine usually suck.

am i the only one who is (quoting hellsing) SO HARD RIGHT NOW!

but on a more safe for work enviro this looks great. but i bet me in a scorpion could take that magnificent looking bitch down.

and also i wonder what its counter/opposing version will be?

  22. Zervziel December 6, 2012 at 4:18 am -      #22

@ Sauroposeidon Actually the Mantis would lose pretty horribly against even the smallest battlemechs. Putting up against an Atlas would be……Well let’s just say that would technically count as assisted suicide.
