Kind of depends, if the Yu-Gi-Oh monsters are free of the cards and can work of their own accord there is some serious firepower that can be spammed and possibly wipe out most of the Pokemon.
If that is the case this fight likely comes down to the god tier creatures and I don’t even know where to begin there.
If the Yu-Gi-Oh monsters are bound to the cards things become more difficult for them, the Pokemon need only attack the humans on the Yu-Gi-Oh side to disable small armies of potentially devastating monsters.
Pokemon has some very heavy hitters. While I know the same can be said of Yu-Gi-Oh, I don’t know much else except that the main character has weird hair. I’ll wait to see what is brought up, but I will also be the first to mention the Legendary pokemon.

yeah legendary pokemon are going to be a major asset for the Pokemon side, and there are several things that need to specified so we can debate and know what we can and can’t assume about the fight.

I absolutely hate Yu-Gi-Oh in every way. So I’ll give it to Pokemon due to pure spite.
iirc the egyptian god cards are actual gods (seen in yugioh millenium world) but i cant recall how strong they are
if we go into the GX and 5D’s (I know not liked exactly) and other tv seasons then there are even more god monsters to utilize, again though the problem is how strong are they.
if we go with just monsters then Yu-Gi-Oh monsters definitely have an average firepower advantage, the non legendary Pokemon are going to be blasted away by the stronger monsters like Blue Eyes White Dragon, Black Luster Soldier, Dark Magician etc. there’s a size gap with some monsters compared to pokemon as well.
Arceus used Judgement. Palkia used Spacial Rend. Dialga used Roar of Time. What else do I need to mention?
I enjoyed the original Yu-Gi-Oh. The Egyptian theme drew me in. Anyway, what about Exodia or Obelisk?
Also we have non legendaries that kick ass too like Dragonite, Gyrados, Mamoswine, Rampardos, hm what else oh Lucario, Buffolant can derail a rain with one charge. Then we have Mewtwo who could of destroyed the planet by moving his freakin wrist. That will help a lot. Mewtwo is actually considered equal to the god Pokemon.

Reliquished was one of my favorite cards. It was just so interesting. No Atk or Def, and here’s what the description said.

Isn’t the fact that YGO is riddled with gameplay mechanics a bit troubling?PKMN atleast has a anime where the PKMN move outside of the gamemechanics etc etc but the beings of YGO are all limited to the rules of the cards.

some of the cards have actual showings of power in the manga
as do charachters and monsters from other games
but i dont feel like routing through 5 or 6 different manga to find them
Most seasons had episodes that seemed to show the monsters as simply bound by the cards by some magic means but could be wrong
doesnt yu gi oh have cards that kill everyone on the field and black holes and what not
Most mosters have no feats, like at all. High tiers like Exodia and the Egyptian Gods are less then city level in power and magical ability, going by their fight with Zorc.

Current manga’s are spin offs of the anime, and are only really the same in name. The animes are spin off series to the original yugioh (with Yugi) that anime itself is an adaptation of the manga. The Video games are the same as the mangas in that they have nothing to do with anything.

although it has already been questioned, what state are yu-gi-oh monsters in?
for pokemon, are we using one of every pokemon, or are we going by the game/anime/manga where there are multiples of everything but legendaries?
for once, the pokemon universes ridiculous amount of “legendary” pokemon in recent years may actually work to their advantage. pokemon have advantage in sheer number if we are allowing worlds rules, ie: multiple pokemon of non-legendary status, and iirc, a few token legendaries may even have multiple.

Well let’s see if we take Yu-Gi-Oh lore into account by using the descriptions from Normal monster then even crappy monsters are more powerful then most Pokemon. Then There is the fact that almost all cards are apart of a story and the fact that Yu Gi Oh in terms of the card game is a multiverse. I mean the Duel Terminal World is just a Universe filled with crazy hax monsters.

Via yugioh rules unless changed suddenly if you have equal attack you both die and if you have higher points,unless countered by an effect,magic or trap card will destroy the opposing monster. so yeah any thing with 1001 atk points is a casual star buster.

Infinite Power didsnt means that they can destroy Citys, it only means that there power will never go down, is the old same god whit infinite power, still he gets destroy by the Legendary Pokemons.
