Suggested By Dr. Doctor
Alex Mercer (Prototype) and Cole McGrath (inFAMOUS) put aside their differences in order to attempt to put down Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) and Lord Raiden (Mortal Kombat)!
This is a multi-field team based duel: The first battlefield is Times Square in New York, with several pedestrians fleeing the premises and military units being deployed to intervene. Whether these are a factor or not should be counted in this part.
Second battlefield is in an empty, grassy plain during a gale; rain soaking our gladiators as they ride the storm to eachother’s doom.
Third battlefield is in a dark castle, and becomes a manhunt type of gameplay. Who can find who first, and if they are found, can they defend themselves.

Mercer I have no clue on but I know Cole, Wesker I know but Raiden my knowledge is extremely limited on.
Raiden? isn’t he like…immortal or something and on Thor’s tier?
The New York Battlefield Cole will have the edge in since he’s the most used to cities, and I would assume Alex is similarly used to them. The extra guys shooting won’t bother them.
Wesker would likely use his connections to manipulate the military somehow if they bother him at all. Raiden…again I think he’s a bit above anyone else here but I don’t know anything about him really so more info would be greatly appreciated.
The field during the storm, it’s going to come down to Cole vs Raiden since their powers will be skyrocketing, Wesker and Mercer likel get fried before causing any trouble. I want to say Cole could take Raiden but again I don’t know the guy.
The manhunt gets interesting as powerlevel isn’t as much in play. Wesker is going to have a field day considering not only his abilities but the fact he was a get in and out infiltrator type with STARS back in the day, he knows about how to hunt down targets that aren’t human.
So depending on if Cole can take down Raiden or Alex can, they can take rounds 1 and 2 potentially. Round 3 I’m leaning towards the team of the guy who thinks he’s a god and the guy who is a god.
This is still smeagolicious, but people seemed to get creeped out by the name.
Anyway, this is a strange match, didn’t Alex tank a nuke, or at least regenerate from one? And Cole seems to use his powers more than Raiden

Okay looked at the Iron Man Thor vs Raiden samus fight I saw which is why I questioned Raiden being here….he’s Coles level so this is fair.
But that also means that since Raiden prefers somewhat close quarters while Cole prefers range but has the AMP for close still, that Cole just has to keep blasting Raiden and keep him away till he dies, something Cole is more than capable of doing.
so with that in mind revamped theories of how the rounds go.

Cole and Raiden go for the lightning brawl while Alex and Wesker viral it up.
If Cole can keep Raiden at a distance and bombard him with lightning missles, grenades and tossed exploding cars he can take Raiden down, since Hero Cole is the cannon version his attacks are more focused and he has headshot capability which further increases his chances of wiping out Raiden in this round, he knows how to use a large city like New York to his advantage in a fight Raiden doesn’t.
Mercer vs Wesker…I don’t know much of anything about Mercer but Wesker is a tough nut to crack due to his speed, if Mercer can hit Wesker he has a good chance, assuming he hits Wesker before Wesker hits him.
If Cole beats Raiden before Mercer and Wesker finish eachother though Wesker will be caught between them and may not be able to overcome that.
Team superpowers gets round in a 60/40 split.

Round 2 plain during a raging storm.
Cole and Raiden both get power boosts here making this a shockingly dangerous battle for their allies go be around. I don’t know if Raiden gets any special boosts from being in a storm but I would think it would help him.
Cole will be able to recharge constantly and start throwing out his bigger attacks like no ones business, all it takes is one good solid hit to clench this for Cole as far as I can tell though.
Alex and Wesker…again can’t really say as I know nothing of Mercers abilities so assuming they aren’t fried early on I’ll guess that Mercer likely could take Wesker.

The manhunt
Now Wesker can shine, hunt and destroy targets in a large compound is his specialty and he could potentially slaughter team superpowers if they get caught off guard, problem is that it’s unlikely they will be caught off guard easily. If Wesker gets up close with them I don’t know if Cole would be able to handle Weskers reflexes to land a blow with the Amp and so he would probaly fall to Weskers skill. Mercer is still a wild card though and I could be wrong period.
Raiden also has a better chance here if only because of his superior hand to hand combat abilitiy.

If he can do that it helps. I know nothing of him though
He’s basically a living weapon that can literally absorb any living thing he touches unless they show strong resistances to the Blacklight Virus, which is what he’s made up of. He can shapeshift, taking on the form and voice of his victims, replicating clothes, and he even gets their memories and knowledge. He’s also able to run up skyscrapers so well that Spider Man could get jealous. Can lift cars and run full speed with them, and can fist-fight a tank.
Which Cole are we using? And I’m going with Team 1. Mercer dominates Wesker and Cole has more options then Raiden.

I think Alex could withstand wesker’s attacks, but wesker would be too fast for him. I say Cole beats Raiden and could possibly beat wesker because I don’t think wesker is FTL.

Actually Cole might be okay in melee, he’s got the reach advantage via AMP(could double as a shield), durability is pretty up there(walk off force that would splatter a human), pretty agile, and he can drain people by touch or using the amp.

The way the match is designed is to give one round where one set of allies have souped up superpowers, and the other to give the other set.

I have a question: where does it say anywhere that Mercer is weak to electricity?
Well in P1 during his fight with The Speacialist,he was being held of by a shock stick.
Was this in a cutscene, or in the fight? Because in P1 against the Specialist, the Specialist survived tank-cleaving attacks.
In the fight,but Alex did beat him in the end.The Speacialist had to cheat using Penn Sation memeories.
I’m Going with team 2. Isn’t Alex weak against electricity? As for cole Raiden can just knock off his limbs with his lightning. And Raiden can’t die either since he committed sucide with a city cited nuke he didn’t die he was just reborn.

Could we just attribute that to Game Mechanics, then? I know a lot of Alex’s powers come from Game Mechanics, as well, but it seems silly that electricity would affect Mercer very much.
Then again, I may have missed something, so I don’t know.

On one hand, McGrath is a particularly tough nut to deal with for any CQC specialist who’s not as Fast as Lightning, but on the other hand, Raiden’s a professional at CQC and isn’t easy to outmaneuver even when he’s supposed to be holding back.
On one hand, Wesker knows how to fight at CQC, on the other hand so does Mercer.
Yeah, IB says this is gonna take a while.

If we go by this, and realize Alex Mercer is a virus and has no vital organs, then we have to jump all the way to the idea that he needs to be flash fried to even be damaged because of his massive regen.
I don’t doubt Raiden or Cole could do this, but a puny shockstick? Hurt Mercer? I doubt it.

He recoils from the touch of it, Cross puts it in front of him for a defense so that when Alex tries to hit him he gets shocked. He also uses it as his main weapon against the other infected.

I love Cole so I’m inclined to go with Team 1. However I’m not too sure who would win. Pretty good match up.

His weapons are the grenade launcher/grappling hook gauntlet and the Shock stick. That was him coming prepared to fight. The cutscene of him has the same thing and about to kick infected ass with the shock weapon.

If it’s absorbed then there would be no impact since its gone…. Also Cole hops off skyscrapers and lands fine no limbs broken, squashed, fractured, splattered, etc.
Then there is the good old fashion dodge technique that tends to help in avoiding things for, well anyone. Especially since they look pretty slow.
#1) my vote is team 1, alex can eat people and since its a city i suspect there will be electricity. idk if raiden can absorb electricity that he doesnt produce.

Rain should be fine. So are drinks. Puddles are okay as well. Little bits of water don’t effect him, might effect the person close to him though, they’ll probably get shocked. Being in a large body of water like a river or a lake are what adversely effect him.

His senses should work just as well on Wesker as his a does on anyone else.
Cole to me can likely solo(depending on version). The only guy I see giving him actual problems is raiden but radeins durrability in mk games is usually around human levels while coles are in superhuman due to controlling kinetic energy, This added with his energy constructs,supersonic-hypersonic rt and of course ionic powers seems to give him the winning edge.
Since my questions have been asked i like to say team 1 takes them all.
radar pulse kinda makes cole easily tak the manhunt round. round 1 cole can hold the two off while mercer disguises and creates his : prototype.wikia.com/wiki/Goliath which can provide great assistance and round two mercers gonna have to give wester his all while cole quickly disposes of raiden(due to havibg supperior electrical powers,durrability,ice powers and rt) then the two can tag team wesker which will be far too much.
why is wesker being ignored. smarter than all of them, analytical, and he’s way faster han all of them. plus his stanima is super high. he’d probally buff himself with raiden’s dna somehow.

Round One:This’ll be a good fight. Given what Mercer and McGrath can dish out while in a city(Full of bio-mass and electrons) they can just keep it up for quite a while. Sure, Raiden is a God of sorts(They can be killed) and he does have some pritty good damage output to use. Wesker….I kno nothiing about so i’m not really gonna touch on him.

Round Two:A field? While its storming? Mercer n McGrath have this. Not only could Mercer most likely feed off of the plains around him(biomass is biomass) but its storming allowing McGrath to cause explosions simply charging from the storm. Calling down Ionic Lightning like its candy during Halloween and amplifying every move in his arsenal(Exceptions being his Ice moves). Also, i am unsure if actually being in a storm power boosts Raiden… Never seen that happen in MKlore…

IIRC, Raiden had to do some chants and charging and had Quan Chi and Shang Tsung defend him in order for him to do that. Though I think he can smash through solid concrete and fly/hover.

Yeah, but in order to do that, he had to survive the events of and after armegeddon. Him and Shao Kahn were the only fighters alive besides Taven and Daegon IIRC

Might work on Alex, not really sure on his detection abilities other the vision modes.
Cole however has a radar due to his sixth sense which gives him 360 coverage.
More so with Raiden since he’s both an enemy and an large electrical source.

When was it EVER a victory for team two? cole’s better at electricity then raiden with other elemental powers and ice powers to boot. And well alex supposedly beat the other guy on site already so I figure team 2 doesn’t have any means to really win.

If he knows he is battling a losing battle, yes.
Though to my knowledge, only a few fatalities are canon, I’m not sure if that one is.

I’m gonna say no heck raidens lightning can some how travel threw wood… not that it maters coles shown so much more in electric manipulation that raidens dispays are minor(heck future cole used his electricity to time travel,base cole can create energuy constructs,cole seems to be able to harness and resist the following forms of energy:kinetic,thermal and electric etc etc).

Meh, All I’m doing is posting feats since Raiden wasn’t getting any here. Though that castle-busting scene should probably kill everyone, even Raiden himself. Though Mercer might survive as a puddle of goo.
So now the battle comes down to Raiden and cole. I sy Raiden wins. He was fighting evenly against quan chi whom reacted to Raiden’s lightning( which moves pretty fast )

Too bad coles more durable and has the ability to take away raidens electricity:bio leech,gigawatt drain etc. has energy constructs etc. Team 1 isn’t losing this.
