What If…Totally Spies and Kim Possible Switched Protagonists?

Suggested By OriginalA

Clover, Alex, and Sam (and parents) are taken away from their universe and transplanted into the KPverse (specifically replacing the Stoppable and Possible house holds as well as a random nearby neighbor). Meanwhile Kim and Ron (and family) are taken from their universe and transplanted into the TSverse (same deal; they take the place of two of the three Spies’s family homes).

Their support crews (Jerry and his WOOHP organisation on the Spies’s side and Wade on the KP side) are doubled so that all WOOPH personel and Wade (plus his family since he lives at home) exist in both the KP and TS universes. This is so that A) Kim and Ron still have their mission control through Wade, B) the Spies still have their mission control Jerry, and most imporantanly C) the TSverse doesn’t turn into a giant mess due to WOOHP suddenly disappearing (there are several episodes in TS where the villians require WOOHP to exist as well).

Both sides start at Season 1 Episode 1 in the other universe and both sides start as their S1E1 incarnations. That also means that they keep their personal interests (e.g. Kim would still be a cheerleader even though she is now in a TSverse and the Spies were not cheerleaders).

Their mission is to finish the plot line of the other show up through High School Graduation.

Also I don’t think it’ll really make much of a difference

  2. Type-Fallstar September 20, 2012 at 8:44 am -      #2

team KP might have some trouble with the totaly spys moments when three peoople were needed but other than that what khaos said

  3. Sauroposeidon September 20, 2012 at 8:52 am -      #3

    I would..
    -
    A. Still not watch either show.
    -
    and
    -
    B. Still be creeped out by the huge amounts of sexual oriented fanfiction and art both shows get.
    -
Seriously people. Stop that shit. That goes to you Transformers fangirls too. I’ve seen your crap on fanfiction.net. Stop it, or I’ll roll up the god damn newspaper, and know now that I am learned in its usage.

    A) good choice
    B) why care about what gets other people off?

“B) why care about what gets other people off?”
    -
Because occasionally I stumble across it. Similarly, I don’t care where your dog shits, just so long as its not in my front yard. Because I might eventually step in it.

    @sauro
    Fair enough

  7. TheSorrow September 20, 2012 at 11:17 am -      #7

Man, I completely forgot that both of these shows existed.

Was this “what if” a serious request? or was OriginalA drunk at the time?
    -
And from what i remember, what khaos said pretty much sums it up.

  9. OriginalA September 20, 2012 at 12:00 pm -      #9

    1) This was serious… well, as serious as anything else on Factpile (you don’t take yourself serious here… do you?).
    -
    2) I could totally see how shit gets wrecked in both universes now. For instance, the first KP episode pitted her against Draken. In the first 12 TS episodes, the girls’ battle tactics consisted almost entirely of “run away”. … Just how well do you think running away will be against someone like Shego? There are some TS plot lines that took advantage of the girls’ specific interests, interests that Kim and Ron don’t share. I’m betting on WOOHP and Wade being roughly equal on inteligence gathering and if one couldn’t find anything then neither would the other, so in those missions, KP and Ron would be way behind as they wouldn’t take action until shit already goes south.
    -
And Kim is a very violent persion all things considered. A number of villains in the TS universe are going to get pummeled into pulp before the day is done.
    -
And I can’t think of any way yet for the TS girls to say the world against the alien invasion that happened at the end of Kim Possible’s run. … so yeah… until someone fiigures that out, that world is conquered. That kinda does make things a little different. Conversely, Kim beats her graduation day (just the day, not nescarrily all things prior to it) in less than half the time it took the spies.

Pretty much what OriginalA said. Never seen Totally Spies, only a few clips. Seen Kim Possible and she is leaps and bounds over them.

  11. theobserver September 20, 2012 at 1:50 pm -      #11

Mandy will probably get clobbered/humiliated into dust if she tries anything against Kim.

Only thing I know about Totally Spies is what I’ve stumbled accross on Deviantart…. And it ain’t pretty.

  14. Shgon Dunstan September 20, 2012 at 8:20 pm -      #14

I’ve seen more of KP then TS, and though I missed the last season of KP, I’ve heard some of what happened, which leads to my question, does Ron have his superpowers? :?:
    -
KP’s better in almost every way then the spies, but just being two people instead of three will likely be a big problem… One the monkey ninja powers would likely solve rather easily.

  15. Shgon Dunstan September 20, 2012 at 8:21 pm -      #15

    (Rereads the OP)
    -
    Oh well.

  16. TopaztheSpaz September 20, 2012 at 8:29 pm -      #16

I see KP handling the TS villains rather well, even without a third person, buuut the TS girls are going to have some serious issues with Shego alone.

  17. glacier September 20, 2012 at 11:35 pm -      #17

What? Huh? I feel uncomfortable about this one. /:( I’m scared!

  18. glacier September 20, 2012 at 11:38 pm -      #18

Oh my. I just read a snippet of TF fan fiction. Da fuq? I think it’s like a human girl and starscream in love or something. Once again: da fuq?!

  19. OriginalA September 21, 2012 at 1:42 am -      #19

Funny thing actually about everyone assuming that Kim is leaps and bounds over the Spies.
    -
Physically, the Spies are probably stronger than Kim, and Sam (lol, I wrote Samus at first; eh, same voice actress so close enough) is possibly intellectually superior.
    -
In one episode, the Spies were rearranging small Jersey Barriers (those weight 400 lbs per foot in length and these were about 5 feet long!). Sam even pushed one all on her own, and then Clover and Alex helped Sam push the rest together.
    -
The movie (prequel to the series) had all three of them cutting through steel with nothing but their hands (the movie is very weird, and it basically took their attitude from the third season [when they are much more Kim-like] and placed them in a mission before season 1 so it was really really weird).
    -
And they have always regularly knocked out mooks with a single throw. Even in the early episodes (actually, especially then since that was about all they did, since they ran away so much that was about their only attack move).
    -
Alex used soccor balls to punch holes in a oil tanker’s hull. That’s 3/4th inch solid steel.
    -
Then there is the episode Super Agent Much? in Season 3 in which Clover was modified to get series in her spy work. The people on Youtube refer to that episode as “the episode were Clover became Kim Possible”. There is a good reason for this. Of course since tech is really weird in the TS verse it is unclear if Clover was just being mind controled or is being mind controled and mechanically augmented. She has a lot of super human feats there though; among them being a super genius who invents a number of extremely effective weapons and spy gear.
    -
So while the Spies are like scary superhuman they still run away like frightened teenaged girls (has to do with the fact that their S1E1 incarnations have been in the spy besinuess for about 6 months max vs Kim’s several years of expirence already). If they fight they can cause a lot of harm (mind you, the examples I gave are from later in the series, but still). The trick is getting them to stop running away. I kept track. It took nearly 12 episodes before they stopped running as their first reaction to a fight, and even in the later seasons they still run away quite often.
    -
Also of note, Sam is stupidly powerful. She’s genetically adapt at being a spy (they all are). She’s genetically adapt at being an amazonian warrior (only her). And she’s easily the smartest of the three.
    -
If the Spies can last till the end of season 3 they are going to get more powerful. At that point they became Super Spies, and are noticably even more comfortable with combat after that point. The problem is is that they all start out nearly as useless as Ron was at the start.
    -
The real big thing though, is that in straight combat Kim is just tons more competant and willing to fight than the Spies (which, them being espionage agents, kinda makes sense). The fact that WOOHP also has a strickt no killing rule does limit them a bit too once they reach their peak… if they get that far. And for the record, they could easily win this if they weren’t in character and didn’t have WOOHP’s no killing rule. One of their most common gaggets is the lipstick laser (later replaced with the laser nailfile in season 3 and onwards). Both are shown to be rediculously powerful and they (reasonably) freak out when a bad guy gets ahold of one and starts shooting a cops.
    -
Kim and Ron’s biggest advantage over the Spies though is that they start off being pretty genre savye. The Spies… not so much. They can be pretty stupid sometimes.
    -
Hilariously though, I don’t think the Spies (especially Clover) will have any trouble with Bonnie. In fact, I think Clover will cause Bonnie to be quite put in her place by the end of season 4. (Clover’s pretty bitchy and ruthless when it comes to the school’s heirarchy). I think Mandy will eat Kim alive.
    -
Actually that would make an interesting fight: Mandy vs Bonnie… maybe throw Limby from Sabrina the Teenaged Witch in there too for the lolz.

I have a feeling Ron would be a serious gamebreaker here, especially if he gains confidence.
    -
I have to ask though, was the “Mystical Monkey Powers” episode in season 1?
It’s been years since I’ve watched both of these shows.

  21. Khazit September 21, 2012 at 8:10 am -      #21

I used to watch these show when I was 6 or 7. When I was young enough to enjoy really lame thing *troll face*

“I have to ask though, was the “Mystical Monkey Powers” episode in season 1?”
    -
I forget if they were or not, but they weren’t in the first episode, which is when the characters are taken from.

  23. theobserver September 21, 2012 at 1:33 pm -      #23

Hm, so no monkey ninja powers for Ron? I wonder if he’ll be as strong as when he curbstomped the buff version Draken on the time traveling episode then.

  24. Envoy September 21, 2012 at 1:54 pm -      #24

….What did Sheego’s glowy hands do? I don’t remember them doing much anything.
    +
Also, I don’t think the spies know how to jump good like Kim can, that might impact something.

  25. Doughiest Treat September 21, 2012 at 2:07 pm -      #25

Totally Spies would be less annoying. Kim Possible would be the exact opposite.

    plasma and plamsa energy balls.

If rons at his peak. kim might survive due to the power of the “ron factor” which is involved with chaos theory.
    ———-
Honestly I found totally spies a little to filled with pis for me.. =/

  28. OriginalA September 21, 2012 at 3:26 pm -      #28

    “If rons at his peak.”
    -
    He isn’t.
    -
Seriously, how hard is it to understand “both sides start as their S1E1 incarnations.” ?… as in as they were in Season 1 Episode 1?

  29. Dr. Doctor September 21, 2012 at 3:33 pm -      #29

    @OriginalA Post#19
I just realized how ridiculously OP characters from a kid’s show can be. Geeze…

This is Rhododendrons we’re talking about. He doesn’t pay attention to OP.

  31. Hermit September 21, 2012 at 8:46 pm -      #31

Monkey Powers or not, Ron will utterly stomp anyone (that’s not superhuman, and even then) as long as he becomes motivated to do so.
    -
Episode where the Go 5 becomes evil.
Kim: We need to change Ron back now.
Villain: Why, is he good at being bad?
Kim (or was it Shego): You have no idea.

  32. Epicazeroth September 21, 2012 at 9:21 pm -      #32

Does it matter? Is this in-universe, or about the show? That matters. I would still think both shows are stupid and outdated, and they would still win.

  33. Rhododendron September 21, 2012 at 11:18 pm -      #33

    @OA
The ‘ron factor’ has been around since kim started her adventures. It’s involved with chaos theroy. It’s supposedly the reason kim doesn’t lose and the military even invested to try and find out how it worked and failed. I say that in it’s self helps kim/ron solo
    ———-
So wait….That random transformer fan’s a girl? Who knew?
    ———
    Too bad what if’s don’t get awards…..

  34. Khazit September 22, 2012 at 1:58 am -      #34

@Rhodo: “what if… we give award for “what if” “.
