Hellboy & Harry Dresden & Sephiroth Vs Ghost Rider & Alucard & Kharn the Betrayer

Suggested by Stealthranger

Today we have the heavy hitters teaming up and going against each other!
Battle takes place in a large stadium with many large, destructible pillars that can only take 2 attacks from each fighter

Hellboy is in his comic incarnation, Harry Dresden is in his Winter Knight form, Sephiroth is in his Advent Children incarnation. Ghost Rider is in his current incarnation, Alucard is Pre-Schrodinger and Kharn is in his current incarnation.

Who wins?

Does “Tag Teams” mean only one from each can fight at a time?(I now have exhausted my knowledge of some of the people in this fight. )

  2. Captain Epic September 16, 2012 at 10:44 am -      #2

So much Dresden. It’s like he is the new Master Chief.

  3. Crimson Sentry September 16, 2012 at 10:53 am -      #3

It will come down to Alucard, Ghost Rider, and Kharn. Kharn can shit on everyone else by himself. And Harry might be the only one who could potentially kill Alucard or bind him. Although i think Kharn would eventually win because, magic is ineffective against him and I think his physical strength is out the yin yang, although if sephoroth can pierce his armor i dunno…
    -
FYI Hellboy is a non-factor here

  4. Obyron September 16, 2012 at 10:55 am -      #4

    @Crimson
You might want to hold off on Kharn for a bit. The Codex: Chaos Space Marines is (hopefully) just around the corner, and Kharn might get some revisions.

  5. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 11:07 am -      #5

Ghost Rider uses Hellfire which Dresden has used in the past in fire based attacks Dresden could potentially redirect.
I’d need more on Alucards abilities in the used incarnation if anyone wants to tell me more on what he can do.
    Kharn Sephiroth can handle probably.
Hellboy shouldn’t be counted out, movie version is fire proof he could prove to be a useful distraction of Ghost Rider.

  6. Aelfinn September 16, 2012 at 11:07 am -      #6

I’m feeling team two. Kharn is immune to magic (if Psyker-Chaos-Power is equal to Team 1′s magic), Alucard has like 3 million souls (so I hear that gives him 3 million lives), and Ghost Rider is from Comic Books, which are always Cray Cray. However, I don’t know too much about any of these combatants, so I’ll wait and see.

  7. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 11:15 am -      #7

    @Aelfinn
How immune is he to a blast of kinetic energy?

  8. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 11:16 am -      #8

    @Admiral + Obyron

Not gonna lie, IB says(for once in my life I’ll withhold on the usual thing I’d say for Dresden) this is gonna take a longass while before any resolution can be found at all.
Not the 1st time it happened, either, but at least Dresden has the stamina to not fall behind Sephiroth, Kharn or Alucard, right?
I’d be more worried about Hellboy overall, though, even though you made a point on not outright counting Hellboy out.

  9. Aelfinn September 16, 2012 at 11:20 am -      #9

“How immune is he to a blast of kinetic energy?”
    -
It would depend on exactly how it was carried out. However, even if he wasn’t immune, Kharn is still a Chaos Space Marine, and one of the best. He is fast, exceptionally strong, and he faces terrible amounts of damage from all manner of 40K weapons and still comes out alive.

  10. Shgon Dunstan September 16, 2012 at 11:30 am -      #10

Couldn’t(and wouldn’t) Ghost Rider just “Penitence Stare” the other guys in this fight?(his own team included  )

  11. itisburgers September 16, 2012 at 11:31 am -      #11

Hellboy doesn’t Matter, GhostRider Penance stares Sephi, Dresden can potentially BFR team 2, if he survives long enough to open portals to the Never-Never, Kharne’s gun might be too much for Dresden’s Shield.

    IB to Team 2.

  12. Sauroposeidon September 16, 2012 at 12:08 pm -      #12

Alucard wipes the enemy team by himself, obviously.

  13. Chuck inglish September 16, 2012 at 12:18 pm -      #13

Mach 40 alucard obliterates team 2. Teleporting + massively hypersonic reactions = obliterated team 2

This feela like names were just thrown in a hat, pulled out at random, and whatever order they came out in was the teams with no real regard for balance. I mean Movie Incarnation Hellboy!? Srsly gaiz…

  15. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 12:50 pm -      #15

I liked the pics I suggested for Alucard and Kharn better…

    -

Anyways, Hellboy is one shotted by Alucard or Kharn, likely the Rider too through a Class 25 physical strike or a Penance Stare.

    -

Sephy can actually handle Alucard or Ghost Rider through a BFR via petrification or polymorph but he’d have to avoid Hellfire or an Alucard speed blitz on the ground. Kharn will take much time for him to cleave down due to his void shield as well as his armor. It’d be more arduous for him as he is not durable enough to take a plasma bolt or chainaxe attack.

    -

Dresden’s offensive magics should effect Kharn, I don’t recall if his Blessing made him immune to offensive magics, just cheat ones like time stop or status effects. Alucard can likely blitz Dresden after he’s done dicking around and gets serious. Unless he can BFR him, I don’t see anything Dresden can do to keep him down.

    -
Your right, the problem really seems to be not the people used, but the fact that all the weaker ones are on the same team.(Though comic Hellboy would work a lot better then movie Hellboy)

  17. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 12:55 pm -      #17

    @Soldier’s Shadow

Since Dresden’s got Soulfire on his side for his offensive spells, the effectiveness of the blessings of Khorne become a moot point in themselves as their usefulness get cut in half like a hot Buster Chainsword through butter, right?
Also, where are the intended pics?

  18. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 1:10 pm -      #18

    @Shgon

    -

Isn’t comic Hellboy the same thing?

    -

    @Cross

    -

The pics are on the Topia thread for this match.

  19. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 1:38 pm -      #19

Hellboy – i dont know him much besides what i seen in the movies. He wasnt that impressive. Not to fast, not to durable

  20. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 1:39 pm -      #20

As far as I know movie Hellboys only difference is he’s fire proof.
Pennance stare I don’t see working on Dresden any better than it would Batman or Punisher. Dresden has never done anything truly outright evil, and his good outweighs the few bad things by a large enough margin that one of Gods archangels considers him an ally.
Hellboy I have no idea if it would affect him.
Sephiroth is the only one it will affect without fail I would think
    —-
Alucards pre schrodengir form I’d need more info on
    —-
Kharn same deal but if he’s still vulnerable to Dresdens offensive abilities it could be he is in the same spot as the Black Templar.

“Isn’t comic Hellboy the same thing?”
    -
No idea myself, but normally comic>>>>>movie in raw power, but there are exceptions, so you would need to ask someone else.(and those “exceptions” normally just mean that the comic will get powered up until it’s once again true(see “Blade”) :D )

  22. Chuck inglish September 16, 2012 at 1:49 pm -      #22

    So what’s stopping alucard?

  23. Slayer Lowk September 16, 2012 at 1:53 pm -      #23

Most of Dresden attack should get through Kharn’s magic immunity since there basically just the elements once fired.
    ===
“Isn’t comic Hellboy the same thing?”
    -
Think he might be stronger and more durable, can do exorcism. He’s like Demon Dresden.
    ===
I don’t think team 1 can win. Dresden could probably surround himself in soulfire that should help with Al and possibly GR(need a weapon from heaven right) but other then that I think only Seph has a chance.

  24. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 1:56 pm -      #24

“Pennance stare I don’t see working on Dresden any better than it would Batman or Punisher. Dresden has never done anything truly outright evil, and his good outweighs the few bad things by a large enough margin that one of Gods archangels considers him an ally.”

    -

Pretty sure Penance Stare works based upon the amount of pain one’s inflicted upon the good in their lifetime. Not a matter of good or evil.

    -

I think Mata once said it had to do with one’s mental state of being anyway on board Alucard vs Ghost Rider, Deadpool vs Ghost Rider or Spawn vs Ghost Rider.

    -

“Alucards pre schrodengir form I’d need more info on”

    -

Teleportation, shadow manipulation, 13mm hand cannon that negates regen, mind control, super speed and strength, illusions, immunity to illusions, and a few other powers but I don’t think any of those would be of much issue to Dresden.

    -

Oh, and then there’s his massive regeneration that can bring him back from being liquified or from his store of three million souls. You’d have to outright kill him that many times to put him down.

    -

“Kharn same deal but if he’s still vulnerable to Dresdens offensive abilities it could be he is in the same spot as the Black Templar”

    -

His plasma pistol is said to have the heat of an exploding star and he’s got added protection like the Void Shield as opposed to the Templar.

“Think he might be stronger and more durable, can do exorcism. He’s like Demon Dresden.”

    Yeah… He’s dead weight then.

  26. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 2:03 pm -      #26

exactly, is it possible to switch him out with someone?

Ironically the Penitence Stare is just what the doctor ordered when it comes to killing Alucard… Not that that’s going to be helping team one anytime soon.

  30. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 2:18 pm -      #30

    than Hellboy I mean*
Also how does the soul thing work are they just in him like Freddy Kreuger’s souls of his victims or are they part of him like his soul?

  31. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 2:22 pm -      #31

We need someone to combat alucards souls plus kharns durablity and ghost riders ghost riderness

So any suggestions, i say soma cruz

  32. Chuck inglish September 16, 2012 at 2:25 pm -      #32

IIRC ghost rider doesn’t need to use penance stare to burn your soul. He can use his hell fire to do it

    You aboul Alucard, right?
He cannot die until you kill all souls in Alucard. And he can release them and get new pretty quick

  34. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 2:29 pm -      #34

    “who would be better?”

    -

We need someone suited to take down Kharn. Sephy takes too long in doing so and should face Alucard while Dresden would have to be the one to take on Ghost Rider.

    -

Not sure who’d be a better supplement for Hellboy.

    -

    Some shounen or DC character?

  35. Chuck inglish September 16, 2012 at 2:32 pm -      #35

    “who would be better?”

    Dante

  36. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 2:32 pm -      #36

Hellfire is something Dresden has seen and dealt with and even used in the past. So it’s possible he can counter it fairly easily.
    ————
Okay so Alucard’s souls are just in him and can be released, could someone who has done something like summon nearby souls that were in turmoil/victims of vampires be able to draw them out and use them to attack Alucard? Similar to what Dresden did with the ghosts/souls in Grave Peril?

  37. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 2:35 pm -      #37

“could someone who has done something like summon nearby souls that were in turmoil/victims of vampires be able to draw them out and use them to attack Alucard? ”

    -

Wouldn’t that be outside help? Alucard’s souls are an extension of himself in essence, he exerts total command over them.

    -

“Similar to what Dresden did with the ghosts/souls in Grave Peril?”

    -

    ?

  38. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 2:35 pm -      #38

if we go with what Chuck said then dante would go against alucard, sephy vs kharn and harry vs Ghost rider

doesnt sephiroth have like a plantet buster?

  39. Kytheros September 16, 2012 at 2:36 pm -      #39

We know almost nothing about Dresden as Winter Knight. If we hold off for Cold Days we’ll know more.
At any rate, Dresden can easily BFR people … and that might be his best shot, though fortunately for him I’m reasonably certain that Team 2 is not protected by the First Law.

  40. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 2:37 pm -      #40

I think Soma Cruz because he has souls just like alucard and can use them

Dunno, but Anderson managed to destroy all but one souls with one strike: www.mangahere.com/manga/hellsing/c069/10.html

  42. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 2:39 pm -      #42

Okay I’ll PM Stealth and Hitman and see if it would be okay to put someone else in, such as Dante.
    —————-
    @Soldiers Shadow,
I’ll post the feat I’m talking about, basically Dresden raised the souls of a bunch of victims the vampires had been tormenting and used them to destroy everyone in the building and the building they were in. If they are completely part of Alucard though I don’t know if he could do it.

  43. Chuck inglish September 16, 2012 at 2:41 pm -      #43

    1. I can’t control when suggested matches get posted.
    2. We’re not posting more till Stealth or Hitman decide on a replacement character for Hellboy.

  47. itcheyness September 16, 2012 at 3:33 pm -      #47

I agree with Lancer, there have been waay too many Dresden matches lately…

  48. itisburgers September 16, 2012 at 3:42 pm -      #48

two posts left for that change so im kinda sorry i used one, but didn’t Dante have matches against each member of team 2?

  49. ZomBody To Love September 16, 2012 at 4:01 pm -      #49

Since changing characters in a match is stoopid, I’ll gladly waste one of those posts.

  50. The Drifter September 16, 2012 at 4:42 pm -      #50

Every single spell that Dresden can fire off at Kharn will be negated and be a waste of both parties times, no matter what Dresden does.

Why?Khollar of Khorne. Prevents ALL magics against wearer of Khollar so……He can only be effected by Team 1′s physical prowess. Which should be a good fight.

Also…I’m not sure if keeping Red in this isn’t a bad idea. I mean, depending on loadout he COULD be a monster in this match. Oor….Lol, we could give him his End of Days power(Bringing the end of the world and all

  51. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 4:45 pm -      #51

    well so much for that.
Also 1. Dresden’s fire is fire once released not magic fire same with any other elemental spells. 2. I looked it up and according to the Lexicanum he is only immune to psychic powers. None of Dresden’s magics are psychic in nature.

For Dresden a good deal of magic only control the forces. The thing he throws out are just what they are lightning is lightning fire is fire that sort of thing. Khan might be immune to stuff like a sleeping spell or paralysis because that’s pure magic. Though I’m not sure that it matters since I don’t know if anything would hit hard enough.

  60. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 5:42 pm -      #60

“With my staff, I scratched a circle around me, in the dust. It was enough. The circle closed with a thrum of power. Magic ran rampant in that house, the sea of supernatural energy stirred to froth.
I had no guide for this kind of spell. I had no focus, nothing to target, but that wasn’t the kind of magic I was working with. I shoved my senses
down, into the earth, like reaching fingers. I blanked out the burning hall, my enemies, Bianca’s howling. I shut away the fire, the smoke, the pain, the nausea. I focused, and reached beneath me.
And I found them. I found the dead, the victims, the ones who had been taken. Not just the few piled below, like so much trash to be discarded. I found others. Dozens of others. Scores. Hundreds. Bones hidden away, never marked, never remembered. Restless shades, trapped in the earth, too weak to act, to take vengeance, to seek peace. Maybe on another night, or in another place, I couldn’t have done it. But the way had been prepared for me, by Bianca and her people. They’d thought to weaken the border between life and death, to use the dead as a weapon against me.
But that blade can cut both ways.
I found those spirits, reached out and touched them, one by one.
    “Memorium,” I whispered. “Memoratum. Memortius.”
Energy rushed out of me. I shoved it out as fast as it would go, and I gave it to them. To the lost ones. The seduced, the betrayed, the homeless, the helpless. All the people the vampires had preyed on, through the years, all the dead I could reach. I reached out into the turmoil Bianca and her allies had created, and I gave those wandering shades power.
    The house began to shake.
From below, in the basement, there came a rumbling sound. It began as a moan. It rose to a wail. And then it became a screaming mob, a roar of sound that shattered the senses, that made my heart and my belly shiver with the sheer force of it.
The dead came. They erupted through the floor, and took forms of smoke and flame and cinder. I saw them as I swayed, weakened, finished by the effort of the spell. I saw their faces. I saw newsboys from the roaring twenties, and greaser street punks from the fifties. I saw delivery people and homeless transients and lost children rise up, deadly in their fury. The ghosts reached out with flaming hands to burn and sear; they shoved their smoky bodies into noses and throats. They howled their names and the names of their murderers, the names of their loved ones, and their vengeance shook that grand old house like a thunderstorm, like an earthquake.
The ceiling began to fall in. I saw vampires being dragged into the flames, down into the basement as burning sections of floor gave way. Some tried
to flee, but the spirits of the dead knew no more pity than they had rest. They hammered at the vampires, raked at them, ghostly hands and bodies made nearly tangible by the power I’d channeled into them.
Vampires died. Ghosts swarmed and screamed everywhere, terrible and beautiful, heartbreaking and ridiculous as humanity itself. The sound banished any thought of speech, hammered upon my skin like physical blows. ”
Also a circle may stop both Alucard and Ghost Rider from touching Dresden Kharn…probably not but he’ll be busy with Sephiroth more than likely.
Still is it possible Dresden could do something similar to the above and turn Alucards souls against him.

  61. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 5:48 pm -      #61

has dresden ever been against someone with guns. which i think allof tea 2 has

  62. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 5:53 pm -      #62

he’s been around guns, the only one that would cause him problems is Kharns.

  63. Kytheros September 16, 2012 at 5:54 pm -      #63

Yes, Dresden has dealt with people with guns before. For that matter, he’s got a couple himself.
However … guns are still sufficiently technology to have occasional trouble with his passive anti-tech field, and if he wants to he can utterly trash tech in an instant.

  64. Soldier's Shadow September 16, 2012 at 5:55 pm -      #64

Those souls weren’t a part of the being of the very character. Alucard’s souls were absorbed by him and are thus just a part of him rather than left over corpses like the ones Dresden summoned to turn against their oppressors.

    -

Turning Alucard against himself is rather unlikely.

  65. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 5:57 pm -      #65

Where the people with the guns as good as alucard is with his. And where they the same calibur

  66. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 6:15 pm -      #66

    @Soldier’s Shadow

Not gonna lie, but it kind of feels to me like Pre-Schrodinger Alucard’s capabilities and that of the Armor of Lord Vile from the world of Skulduggery Pleasant are actually kind of similar to each other in the respects of absorbing souls, right?
(P.S: It might make a war of attrition between Post-Deathbringer Skulduggery Pleasant and Pre-Schrodinger Alucard all the more intriguing if it happens on the site itself, right?)

    @Soldiers Shadow
didn’t think it would work but it was a try.
    @Amm0vamp1r3
he’s blocked rounds from various modern fire arms fired by supernatural assassins and human mercenary soldiers. Assault Rifles and Shotguns are some of the more common weapons he’s blocked but he’s also blocked rounds from a modified full auto 1911.

so direct fire wouldnt work, what about what he did to luke valentine? would that work

  69. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 6:21 pm -      #69

    @Admiral

The last one was most recent from the excerpts of the 1st two Chapters of Cold Days, were they not?
We know Dresden’s Superhuman reactions + reflexes have improved, but how radically were the improvements is what we will find out, right?
At least we know Dresden now has casual Superhuman Stamina thanks to the Winter Knight!-Mantle, do we not?(But to be fair, its one of the debatable things between McCoy and Winter Knight!-Dresden in regards to Stamina + Power, everything else from Skill, Experience and Knowledge with Magical Kombat favors McCoy overall, that much is concrete as it stands!)

  70. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 6:23 pm -      #70

and could ghost rider suffocate them all?

  71. Kytheros September 16, 2012 at 6:27 pm -      #71

No. The modified full-auto 1911 was in White Night. Cold Days is a Russian full-auto shotgun, presumably a Saiga.
    -
“We know Dresden’s Superhuman reactions + reflexes have improved, but how radically were the improvements is what we will find out, right?
At least we know Dresden now has casual Superhuman Stamina thanks to the Winter Knight!-Mantle, do we not?”

    -
We do not actually know that. Any of that. All of the feats from Changes can not be definitively attributed to only the Winter Knighthood, as the Winter Knighthood was Mab’s price for providing Dresden “Knowledge and power enough to succeed” in rescuing his daughter, in addition to the Knighthood, before he starting the work of the Winter Knight.

  72. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 6:27 pm -      #72

    @Amm0

Not with the Penance stare on Dresden or Hellboy, that’s for sure.
Also, how effective is ‘Regular’ Ghost Rider’s Stamina if I had to ask?

  73. Commander Cross September 16, 2012 at 6:29 pm -      #73

    @Kytheros

    Blast it. T_T’
This doesn’t remove the fact that Dresden has Superhuman stamina outright, does it?

  74. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 6:37 pm -      #74

i mean like burning the oxygen out of the air

  75. Kytheros September 16, 2012 at 6:37 pm -      #75

If there’s something before the Stone Table in Changes backing up superhuman stamina or other attributes, yes.
The Winter Knighthood probably provides passive physical boosts in addition to whatever active abilities it grants, but Dresden doesn’t know what they are, nor does he know how to use them.
In addition, we don’t actually know what the Mantle provides.
In other words … we don’t really know the differences between Winter Knight Dresden and pre-Winter Knight Dresden.

  76. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 6:37 pm -      #76

I’m pretty sure Ghost Rider can’t suffocate people without chocking them. He is also weak to holy weapons forged in heaven, with Soulfire all of Dresden’s spells have a holy ring to them.

  78. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 6:51 pm -      #78

how about a little water laced with soulfire Rider
“The entity’s eyes kindled to life again, but this time I had anticipated it. Flame gathered before it in a lance and rushed toward me, leaving a coating of sudden frost and ice on the ground beneath it as it came. But my own will had reached down into the ground below me, and found the water from the stream that fed the cottage’s little well. I drew it up through the cracks the entity had created in the rock, taking advantage of the work it had done, with a shout of, “Aquilevitas!” A curtain of water rose up to meet the onrushing flame, and they consumed one another, leaving only darkness and a cloud of steam.”
    Turn Coat, Chap 36
that would stop most hellfire attacks dead in their tracks.
Even then Dresden’s shield defends against heat, he could create a shield and the oxygen in it would last eventually Ghost Rider will realize he isn’t working, plus that was on his motorcycle I don’t think he gets that here.

  79. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 6:55 pm -      #79

also if anyone wants to find feats for Sephiroth or Hellboy it would be helpful

Wow where’s Dante when you need :D I’m going with team Alucard for this match easy to see why actually .

  88. StealthRanger September 16, 2012 at 7:45 pm -      #88

Ah awesome, mah match got posted
    -
And you guise had to start without me? C’mon
    -
Anywhom Sephiroth has the means to defeat Alucard and Ghost Rider with his Pale Horse (petrification) spell, but he can be taken out by Alucard’s guns/hellhound and GR’s hellfire. Kharn would be alot more tricky, going by their 1v1 match here they should be at least 50:50, since Kharn is immune to his magics (although going by Kharn vs Skulltaker, Kharn is no longer completely immune), which leaves the match to a physical fight, where they’re equal in strength, stamina and combat speed, Sephiroth is faster overall and more mobile, and Kharn is more durable. Sephiroth could probably peirce the armor given time, but not really do much damage per hit, and he’s not durable enough to survive a plasma hit or a Gorechild swing (plus Sephiroth and Kharn are the more overwhelmingly physically powerful combatants) so basically it would come down to an endurance match
    -
Dresden could potentially handle Alucard if Dresden-verse Hellfire could be considered similar to Marvel hellfire, which would destroy Alucard’s souls n’ all, probably same with GR too, on the other hand he doesn’t have the durability to withstand GR and Alucard’s attacks. Dresden likely couldn’t handle Kharn though since Kharn sorely outclasses him physically and is heavily resistant to his magics, and he has a plasma pistol, that shoots plasma bolts that have heat akin to solar flares (reason Black Templar didn’t have heavy weapons in Dresden vs Templar thread)
    -
Hellboy, if he was a non-factor here, yeah, GuardianAngel suggested him be in the match and I just rolled with it, so… yeah
    -
Oh and Hitman, those pics of Sephiroth can Kharn have been used before!

  89. StealthRanger September 16, 2012 at 7:49 pm -      #89

Forgot to finish mah post, but yeah, I think this can go either way on the basis that Sephiroth and Dresden have the means to deal with Alucard and GR and vice versa and Sephiroth has the physical power to match Kharn

  90. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 7:55 pm -      #90

I looked up Kharns resistance actually, it’s psychic powers that he’s immune to. Dresden could do this
“My evocation died away, and the entity’s cloak settled down again. Once more, its eyes flashed, and the earth beneath my feet and slightly behind me erupted, solid rock splitting and cracking. Sharp shards flew up from the supernatural impact, and I instantly felt half a dozen hot, stinging cuts on my legs and back.

“Ow,” I muttered. “At least they weren’t in any tender spots, I guess.” Then again I summoned my will and soulfire, this time focusing on the earth near the entity. “Geodas!” I shouted, and the earth beneath the entity twisted and screamed, suddenly opening into a sinkhole.

The entity never moved. It just stood there on empty air, as if I hadn’t literally pulled the ground out from under it.”
    Turn Coat, Chap 36
if nothing else it would open Kharn up to an attack from Sephiroth, even if Kharn is immune to magic he’s not immune to having the ground ripped out from under him.
If Dresden nails and takes Ghost Rider out with Soulfire (he doesn’t have Hellfire anymore) then he can help either Hellboy or Sephiroth, assuming Hellboy tries to distract Alucard, they are probably roughly equal in strength (movie is equal to comics with Hellboy and comic Hellboy can easily rip trees out of the ground and toss them) he can tank a lot of bullets and would likely be able to hold Alucard off at least, not sure if he would survive but either way he just needs to make sure to distract Alucard till Dresden and Sephiroth tear down Ghost Rider and Kharn, who knows maybe Hellboy will take away a couple of Al’s lives while he’s at it.

  91. Amm0vamp1r3 September 16, 2012 at 8:02 pm -      #91

Hellboy almost died from a spear tip to the gut, alucard could shoot him, ghost rider could turn his chain into bladed pieces.

  92. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 8:12 pm -      #92

read some stuff on Alucard, holy stuff while not slowing him down has screwed with his healing factor in the past, and Soulfire has fucked with healing factors in the past.
example of a Fallen Angel healing from being shredded by gunfire also a bit more feats for Dresden.
” I’d spent the last several years on the fringes of a supernatural war between the White
Council of the wizards and the Vampire Courts. In the most recent years, I’d gotten more
directly involved. Wizards who go to a fight without getting their act together tend not to
come home. Worse, the people depending on them for protection wind up getting hurt.
The second most important rule of combat wizardry is a simple one: Don’t let them touch
    you.
Whether you’re talking about vampires or ogres or some other kind of monstrous nasty,
most of them can do hideous things to you if they get close enough to touch—as even a
lesser member of the gruff clan had demonstrated on my nose the night before.
The prime rule of combat wizardry is simple too: Be prepared.
Wizards can potentially wield tremendous power against just about anything that might
come along—if we’re ready to handle it. The problem is that the things that come after us
know that too, so the favored tactic is the sudden ambush. Wizards might live a long time,
but we aren’t rend-proof. You’ve got to think ahead in order to have enough time to act
    when the heat is on.
I’d made myself ready and taught young wizards with even less experience than me how to
be ready too—for an occasion just such as this.
The coil of steel chain in my coat pocket came out smoothly as I drew it, because I’d
practiced the draw thousands of times, and I whipped one end at the mantis-thing’s face.
It was faster than me, of course. They usually are. Those two clamps seized the end of the
chain. The mantis’s jaws clamped down on it, and the creature ripped the chain from my
hands with a wrench of its head and upper body, quicker than thought.
That was a positive thing, really. The mantis hadn’t had time to notice two important
details about the chain: first, that the whole thing was coated in copper.
Second, that a standard electrical plug was attached to the other end.
I flipped my fingers at the nearest wall outlet and barked, “Galvineus!”
The plug shot toward the outlet like a striking snake and slammed home.
The lights flickered and went dim. The Denarian hopped abruptly into the air and then
came down, thrashing and twitching madly. The electricity had forced the muscles in its
jaws and clamps to contract, and it couldn’t release the chain. Acrid smoke began to drift
up from various points on its carapace.
“Wizard!” Gard gasped. She gripped the wooden handle of her ax and tossed it weakly
toward me. I heard shouting and the bellow of a shotgun coming from downstairs. It stayed
in the background, unimportant information. Everything that mattered to me was nearly
    within an arm’s length.
The ax bounced and struck against my leg, but my duster prevented it from cutting into me.
I picked up the ax—Christ, was it heavy—hauled off, and brought it straight down on the
Denarian, as if I’d been splitting cordwood.
The ax crunched home, sinking to the eye somewhere in the Denarian’s thorax. The thing’s
convulsions ripped the weapon out of my hands—and the plug from the wall outlet.
The mantis’s head whipped toward me, and it screamed again. It ripped out the ax and
came to its feet in the same instant.
    “Get clear!” Gard rasped.
I did, diving to the side and going prone.
The wounded woman emptied her assault rifle into the mantis in two or three seconds of
howling thunder, shooting from the hip from about three feet away.
Words cannot convey how messy that was. Suffice to say that it would probably cost more
to remove the ichor stains than it would to strip and refinish the walls, the floor, and the
    ceiling.
Gard gasped, and the empty rifle slid from her fingers. She shuddered and pressed her
    hands to her belly.
I moved to her side and picked her up, trying not to strain her stomach. She was heavy. Not
like a sumo wrestler or anything, but she was six feet tall in her bare feet and had more than
the usual amount of muscle. She felt at least as heavy as Thomas. I grunted with effort, got
her settled, and started for the door.
Gard let out a croaking little whimper, and more blood welled from her injury. Faint pangs
of sympathetic pain flickered through my own belly. Her eyes had rolled back in her head.
It had taken a lot to beat Gard’s apparent pain threshold, but it looked like the visit from the
Denarian—and the activity it had forced on her—had done it.
The day just couldn’t have gotten any more disturbing.
Until the splattered mass that had been the Denarian started quivering and moving.
“Oh, you have got to be kidding me!” I shouted.
Where there had been one big bug thing, now there were thousands of little mantislike
creatures. They all began bounding toward the center of the room, piling up into two
mounds that gradually began to take on the shape of insectoid legs. “
    ——————–
same Fallen Angel being hit by Soulfire
” I focused my rage, focused my anger, focused my hate and my denial and my pain. I
blocked away everything in the entire universe but the thought of my friend’s bloody body
hanging from that rope, and a spot two inches across in the center of Tessa’s chest.
Then I drew in a breath, whirling a hand over my head and bellowed through my ragged
throat, so loudly that it felt like something tore, “Fuego, pyrofuego!” I stabbed the first two
fingers of my right hand forward as I did, unleashing my fury and my will. “Burn!”
A bar of blue-white fire so dense that it was nearly a solid object lashed across the distance
from me to Tessa and slammed into her like an enormous spear.
The mantislike Denarian threw back her pretty face and screamed in agony as the shaft of
fire bored cleanly through her, melting a wide hole that burned wider still before searing
itself shut. She went down, howling and thrashing, burned by fire far deadlier and more
destructive than any I had ever called before, with a blasting rod or without one. “
    see the difference?
    ————–
    @Amm0vam1r3
That was a magic spear with piercing damage and the tip moved closer to his heart when they tried to remove it. Bullets don’t act the same way a spear tip does, again the only difference in movie and comics is fire resistance from what I’ve read, if someone could confirm that it would be helpful, and they have both shown bullet resistance.

  93. StealthRanger September 16, 2012 at 8:14 pm -      #93

Pretty sure the magic resistance thing for Kharn has been extensively covered on this board and the topia (courtesy of Mata)

Anywhom I could give feats for Sephy if anyone wants them, but YT is blocked on my school computers
    -
“alucard could shoot him, ghost rider could turn his chain into bladed pieces.”
    -
Or Kharn hacks him with Gorechild/shoots him with his pistol, whereas Kharn has building+ level durability so…. (seeing as Hellboy has already been acknowledged to be a non factor)

You see comic version should’ve been used. He’s bulletproof.

  96. GuardianAngel1911 September 16, 2012 at 8:25 pm -      #96

we may have been too quick on Hellboy, he’s resisted bullets in the past, he could distract Alucard, and we can’t forget to take the arena itself into account, there are plenty of areas for them to hide and take cover with that are resistant to a couple of anyones attacks. Strategy will come into play, and unfortunately for team two Kharn thinks like the savage Hulk, just steam roll it if it’s in your way. meanwhile Sephiroth can use flight to take serious advantage Dresden can use a veil and illusions to slip around unnoticed and set up some circles that may be able to catch Ghost Rider and trap him if only temporarily anyway. Also if Dresden enhances the illusions with a small amount of Soulfire and Ghost Rider attacks them, he would get hit by a bit of holy energy, which would at least harm him.
Also as I said earlier, nothing stopping Dresden from ripping the ground out from under Kharn, Sephiroth locks him for a bit stays floating Dresden drops the floor out from under Kharn and then closes the earth. Could at least slow Kharn down.
    ————-
the hand pierce might work but not sure if he’d be able to pull it off against Hellboy.

alucard would see dresden if he used his illusions. and kharn being all savage is not necesarilly a bad thing while he is raging and the other team trying t avoid and fight him Ghost rider and alucard are working behind the scenes sooting from cover and stuff
