Beetlejuice Vs The Mask

Beetlejuice Vs The Mask

Suggested by Mike

Very interesting match here.

Both are their movie version incarnations.

Beetlejuice has to survive until dawn, and the battle starts when the sun goes down (so roughly 8 1/2 hours).

How would this turn out?

Well happy birthday to me! This should be entertaining.

If it’s really your birthday happy birthday.
If that was a figure of speech forgive me for misinterpreting over the internet.
As for the fight, I think the Mask has more than enough firepower to take down Beetlejuice if Beetlejuice is capable of being brought down.

Is The Mask capable of being serious enough for any battle?

  4. Zolanius July 31, 2012 at 9:01 am -      #4

    It really is. :3

As for the fight, I’m not aware of everything about Beetlejuice. The Mask is supposed to have all the powers of Loki, right? My bet is with him.
    -
But can he kill somebody whose already dead?
    -
They both bend reality to a degree, but The Mask is more active with this power.

Mask may be able to BFR Beetlejuice if nothing else.
As for can he be serious enough for a fight, when it comes down to it in the movies he manages to, in his own comedic way be serious most would be lethal if it wasn’t either rule of funny or him fighting LOKI. He either didn’t aim for lethal or in Loki’s case Loki was more durable and skilled with the powers and Odin showed up before shit got too serious.

    @zol
    Feliz cumpleaños amigo
I think the mask has the better chance at taking this but then again they’d probably team up after falling to out funny each other. Imagine beetlejuice with that mask…. O.o

Both are pretty featless, but did you know that their making a Beetlejuice 2?

  8. Hac148 July 31, 2012 at 2:47 pm -      #8

    the juice is loose!!!!!!

but seriously, beetle juice has his work cut out for him. beetlejuice has shown the ability to send other ghosts, even manifested ones, to saturn for the sand worms. i own the mask movie so i have seen it dozens of times and dont recall a single instance of teleportation

    @Hac148
The Mask had comics, while Beetljuice had a TV series.

Initial bets with The Mask. Isn’t he practically a toonforcer?

  11. PrimusxPilus July 31, 2012 at 4:01 pm -      #11

    @ nz
pretty much whatever he wanted to do he did, even warping reality at times. Plus didn’t he exhibit some mind control dancing w/ the female officer? How else would she sing a song that she unless I am wrong wouldn’t even know? That could be script or some form of Compulsion lol.

I don’t think Bettlejuice will survive the full 8-8 1/2 hours.
I’m pretty sure The Mask will win this. One question though… Is this Jim Carrey’s The Mask?

“Both are their movie version incarnations.”
    Yep, Jim Carrey version.

the mask no question…how could beetle juice possible beat him other than attempting to take the mask off?….Dear god….I thought of the joker with toon force…..

  15. OMEGAMI July 31, 2012 at 6:52 pm -      #15

    The Mask takes this.

    @ the pro
i know he had a comic book series, but the description says we are using the moves for both. the mask had 2 movies, a comic book series and a tv series. beetlejuice has a movie, a series, and i believe a sequel in the works. the mask pummels the hell out of beetlejuice due to just one upping him in the reality manipulation department. but i dont think he can kill him. beetlejuice isnt trying to win here. he is lasting 8 and a half hours. he has no problem running, he isnt a proud guy.

This is my first comment on FP, so excuse me if it’s not up to quality.

The Mask was shown to swallow a bomb, with only a mild burp. He also has some sweet reality warping powers. Hell, his only weakness is having the Mask removed!

  18. Dante Chief August 1, 2012 at 12:10 am -      #18

Since The Mask’s powers are more elaborate and in a sense more innovated he’ll win this match. Unless Beetlejuice decides to hide for 8 1/2 hours.

Beetlejuice has some tricks up his sleeve, able to animate nearby objects, alter his form, put zippers and metal plates on people’s mouths without any apparent difficulty. He’s got quite the problem if the mask figures out to say his name 3 times.

I think we can also consider anything that couple was able to do within his ability, such as forcing people to sing in a different voice and dance. I imagine the mask would go along with this for a while, though, and is probably able to resist it if he chooses

I think Beetlejuice could never get in the Mask’s head, he’s got a cocky obnoxious confidence that would protect him from any bullshit. In all honesty, from the point of just mentality, Beetlejuice comes across as a downtrodden scam artist rather than a fighter, whereas while Mask is funny and silly, he’s the epitome of Stanley Ipkiss’ manifested confidence and he pretty much owns every situation he’s in, he’s always the man.

As far as powers, Mask is a cartoon, you can’t hurt him, he can undo handcuffs, swallow explosives, get shot multiple times, he’s magical and can regenerate.

Beetlejuice is dead, but I think Mask could just imprison him, he’s bound by his name and it makes some sense to put a beetle in a jar.

Overall I think this fight would be a letdown, either a total stalemate or over in a single scene. Hard to know. But Loki was a Norse God, I think that probably trumps Beetlejuice, wasn’t he just a ghost?

    At first, I cried
But then I wept in joy.
But seriously, what’s stopping Beetlejuice from summoning a giant worm, or forcing The Mask to do various showtunes for nine hours?

  23. Obyron August 3, 2012 at 10:40 am -      #23

    @Neuromancer
    Bettlejuice: Ghost Powers
    The Mask: GOD Powers
    that’s whats stopping the Beetlejuice.

  24. bluefireXD August 6, 2012 at 6:45 am -      #24

If Beetlejuice hides, The Mask will end up winning by accident. You know it will happen. While searching, he’ll randomly chant “Oh, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice?” Boom, instant win.

  25. Cautiosly Pessimistic August 16, 2012 at 12:26 pm -      #25

Beetlejuice is just horribly outclassed here.
The Mask is more resiliant, more chaotic, more destructive and more inventive. The Mask could just manifest some giant ghost trapping vacuum cleaner or something.
If Beetlejuice cant be killed he can at least be sent to that waiting room in the afterlife.
