Skulduggery Pleasant Vs Sephiroth

Suggested By Commander Cross

Making his debut to the site it is Skulduggery Pleasant! Going up against a tough opponent Sephiroth.

The match takes place in an Arena that constantly changes and alters locations, one moment they’d get to an arena only familiar to either side, next moment they’d enter an arena neither of them are familiar with!

Skulduggery Pleasant will be as he was as of Deathbringer, Sephiroth will be Advent Children Incarnation!
Who wins?

    Skulduggery goes Lord Vile mode and destroys Sephy.

  3. epicazeroth July 1, 2012 at 8:12 am -      #3

    “Skulduggery goes Lord Vile mode and destroys Sephy.”
    This.
    -
    Also, does anyone know how I can get any Skulduggery Pleasant books beyond 3 in America?

  4. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 8:13 am -      #4

    What can Skullduggery do? Insta-death likely won’t work on him as hes already dead and according to Jwlynas he’s a planetary lifewiper at his strongest, although what method does he use to do this? Can he counter his magic being shut off, or his body being polymorphed?
    -
    Im knowledgeable on Sephiroth but I don’t want to say he wins… yet

  5. il vernus July 1, 2012 at 9:58 am -      #5

    not familiar with skullduggery in deathbringer but in the other books he was rather powerful and nearly impossible to kill
    what can Sephiroth do

  6. Gluttonous-Behemoth July 1, 2012 at 10:03 am -      #6

    Here comes Commander Cross pretty soon I’d wager.

  7. The Knower July 1, 2012 at 11:23 am -      #7

    First off, @Commander Cross, nice match!
    -
    @epicazeroth
    I’ve got all the books, but then again Im in Ireland. Try online, thats how I got the first one.
    -
    If Skulduggery can put on Lord Vile armour, then how can’t he win? But then again, who the hell is Sephiroth? :D

  8. itisburgers July 1, 2012 at 12:33 pm -      #8

    Inevitable Sephiroth instakill hypersonic flight solar system buster comment.

    but seriously i haven’t seen proof of Sephi do anything but cut buildings in half.

    @Lightning

    Great to see you in here blitzing back to the pile once more, and is that Saber on your gravatar, I see? :)

    @Master Sarge

    Face it, considering that Skullhead here is more or less the exact sort of guy you’d have to send Pumpkinheaded Dresden or Haseo going for broke in either equipment or non-standard powers if you want either to fight him, you do realize he’s not meant to be a pushover, right?

    @Judge J

    Ready to do your thing in here?

  10. Jwlynas July 1, 2012 at 1:37 pm -      #10

    Ooh, joyous day. Let’s see what we can do with this match.

    On one side Sephiroth. Bullet-timing big bad of the Final Fantasy 7 series of games. A supersolider even before he went loco and absorbed the lifestream into his already formidable powers.

    On the other, Skulduggery Pleasant. A Skeletal detective who wielding the Elements just as aptly as he does his dual pistols and who has a dark side rivalling anyone else in fiction. One of the two beings in his fiction capable of literally decimating the human population with relative ease, and certainly capable of killing the greater part of Gaia if he so chose.

    Best course of action… Two Part match.

    1) Skullduggery of Book 1 versus “Crisis Core” Sephiroth

    2) Latest incarnation SKullduggery versus… What would the latest incarnation of Sephy be? Advent Children or Kingdom hearts?

    For my money the first round goes to Sephiroth (Much faster, and while Skulduggery is fairly resistant to physical damage I’m pretty sure the Masamune would seriously damage him with even a glancing blow) and the Second to the Skullman (The tales of Lord vile will be forthcoming)

  11. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 1:40 pm -      #11

    @Judge J

    Thinking its either Advent Children like above post says or its Dissidia, but the Dissidia incarnation is faster than the AC incarnation just so you know.
    If we go with Dissidia, we’d have to go with any of the Post-Deathbringer novels in there.

    You think Skulduggery would need any Uber-Armor at hand for this fight, or is it not necessary?

  12. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 1:50 pm -      #12

    @Judge J

    Between you and me, let it be known that just because I am still feeling that Landy abandoned us, does not at all mean I intend to do likewise with Skullhead himself to retaliate, which is why I’m permitting his Post-Deathbringer stages to be used if we’re using Dissidia Sephiroth, really.

  13. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 2:25 pm -      #13

    @Those on Skullhead’s side:

    Are you ready?

    Heaven or Hell:Let’s Rock!!!!

  14. Blazing Waffles July 1, 2012 at 2:53 pm -      #14

    Skulduggery on FP? ‘Bout damn time.

    If Skul-man has Lord Vile, I think he takes this. I don’t know Sephiroth that well though.

  15. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 2:54 pm -      #15

    @Blazing

    Not for my lack of trying before now he wasn’t here before now, trust me when I am saying this, alright?

    So are you ready to debate already?

  16. The Knower July 1, 2012 at 2:56 pm -      #16

    @Jwylnas
    Skulduggery has only one gun? Also, is Sephiroth fireball-timer? Skulduggerys allowed fly in this fight, right?
    -
    Because he can just grab Sephiroth and drop him from a thousand metres

  17. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 2:58 pm -      #17

    @The Knower

    In the rounds with Post!-Dark Days Skulduggery involved(specifically the Post-Deathbringer incarnations at that!) I don’t see why not, and if the Pre-Dark Days Skulduggery had that in the 1st 3 novels all the better, then!

  18. Ruliya July 1, 2012 at 2:59 pm -      #18

    “Because he can just grab Sephiroth and drop him from a thousand metres”
    __
    Sephi can fly too, and he’s probably faster the Boney Face.

  19. The Knower July 1, 2012 at 3:02 pm -      #19

    Boney face! haha! :)
    Well fine, “Boney face” can turn Lord Vile and hold him tight while they both smash down to the floor together. We’ve seen Skulduggery can do this and shrug it off like a fly

  20. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:02 pm -      #20

    @Madamoiselle :P

    Did I not warn that Skulduggery was not a normal Bag o’ bones, nor is he even normal even via standards of Supernatural Bag of Bones in general?

    He had to duke it out with Mevolent(If you’re a LoZ or Potter-world buff, essentially think someone like Ganondorf or the Cousin-murdering Tom Riddle, then try to consider the military savvy of Skullhead’s world that will be discussed in here, and then try to factor in how much of a Badass Skullhead himself was in the past before the main 7 novels began!) and anyone who was there witnessing the fight will admit that its not an easy thing to do!

    P.S: Finally the Skullhead is shaping up to be a potentially worthy opponent for Dresden or Haseo at some point, at least we have that, right?

  21. The Knower July 1, 2012 at 3:04 pm -      #21

    Whos mademoisselle????

  22. Ruliya July 1, 2012 at 3:06 pm -      #22

    @CC
    See I know you’re trying to explain to me how Badass Boney is, buuuuut uhhhh…. Wha?
    __
    @Knower
    The problem with saying “he can go Lord Vile” is I have no idea what that means, so it’s hardly an argument. Explain, if you will please, what exactly Lord Vile means? Strength x1000? Super speed? What?
    __
    Where’s Stealth when ya need feats for Sephi he has them all somewhere I think.

  23. Jwlynas July 1, 2012 at 3:09 pm -      #23

    Guys, lets get some quotes hmm? Especially for those of you who downloaded the books, grabbing screencaps and quotes should be easy.

  24. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:10 pm -      #24

    @Judge J and other Skullhead backers:

    Please do that, as much as I generally detest spoilers, I’m still feeling Landy Abandoned us, and I’d rather not have myself do likewise for Skullhead so WTH on this?

    Bring in the quotes already, alright?

  25. Blazing Waffles July 1, 2012 at 3:22 pm -      #25

    “P.S: Finally the Skullhead is shaping up to be a potentially worthy opponent for Dresden or Haseo at some point, at least we have that, right?”

    Oh, no. No, no, no, Skulduggery on his own would get utterly ruined if he tried to fight Dresden. If he has Lord Vile, on the other hand, it’s closer, maybe even reversed.

  26. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:26 pm -      #26

    @Waffles

    What about vs Haseo, then?(Of course if he has Lord Vile, it means Haseo has to bust in the Non-standard Powers and go for as much Broke as possible!Otherwise the match would be no fun if we’re using Post!-Deathbringer Skulduggery!)
    Meantime back at the fight at hand, you got the quotes ready for Skullhead’s side, right?

  27. Blazing Waffles July 1, 2012 at 3:29 pm -      #27

    “What about vs Haseo, then?”

    I have no clue who that is, so…

    “Meantime back at the fight at hand, you got the quotes ready for Skullhead’s side, right?”

    If you’re talking to me, I’m waiting for some more Sephiroth feats to be posted before making a determination.

  28. Total_Overkill July 1, 2012 at 3:30 pm -      #28

    My god… its finally happened… people on the internet that dont know about Sephiroth. I have waited for such a day… for SOOOOooooooo long… *cries*

  29. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:34 pm -      #29

    @T_O

    Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? :oops:
    Meantime, mind helping out with this match in here?

  30. Total_Overkill July 1, 2012 at 3:38 pm -      #30

    “Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?”
    -
    Its a good thing… now i know there is an end, and that i may only have to wait another 13years until Legolas disappears into obscurity aswell.

  31. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:41 pm -      #31

    @T_O

    Okay?

    So are you going to back up Skulduggery himself in here?

    @Blazing Waffles

    To answer your question, take a look at this link, alright?

    Meantime, you got the quotes for Skullhead at hand?

  32. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 3:55 pm -      #32

    So is the match shaping up to be more Epic than 300 vs Mortal Kombat, yet?

  33. Aelfinn July 1, 2012 at 3:56 pm -      #33

    “Well fine, “Boney face” can turn Lord Vile and hold him tight while they both smash down to the floor together.”
    -
    From what I’ve seen of Sephy, this won’t do much of anything to him.
    -
    What the hell is Lord Vile? This needs to be explained.

  34. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:00 pm -      #34

    @Councilor Aelfinn

    Lord Vile is the name of a General of Mevolent, he wields Legendary Magical Armor that’s akin to the powers of Nico Di Angelo of CHB, in that they allow the User to Shadow-Travel.
    They can do much more than just that, though, but I am not sure how to explain where to begin.

    @Everyone else

    Should I permit Skulduggery to wear the Armor of Lord Vile for this match?

  35. epicazeroth July 1, 2012 at 4:01 pm -      #35

    Dont know everything about Lord Vile, but I know this: Lord Vile is his evil side, and much more powerful.

  36. The Knower July 1, 2012 at 4:02 pm -      #36

    Skulduggery has Lord Vile’s armour, which basically makes him invicible and super strong. Sorry, dont have the book with me so cant quote.

  37. epicazeroth July 1, 2012 at 4:03 pm -      #37

    Ninja’d. And it made my post look way insufficient. Also, maybe only if Pleasant needs to (if Sephiroth stomps without it, or something.)

  38. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:03 pm -      #38

    @Skullhead Buffs

    Like I ask before:

    Should I permit Skulduggery to wear Lord Vile’s Armor before fight begins, or not?

  39. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:06 pm -      #39

    @Epic

    Alright, if the One-winged Angel stomps Skullhead otherwise, Skullhead is permitted to use the Armor of Lord Vile if necessary!

  40. Stone Assassin July 1, 2012 at 4:11 pm -      #40

    Lord vile armour is basically allows Skull head to turn into a being with the potential to kill about 3 billion people at once at his own pleasure not to mention to draw energy from death and stab you with a thousand shadow bladesat once on top of his original powers.
    Plus you can’t technically kill him as he is kept alive via soul so he can exist without his organs and so forth so basically Sephiroth needs soul killing abilities to kill him

  41. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:16 pm -      #41

    @Stone Assassin

    1st, are the guys on your gravatar from the Imperium?

    2nd, thanks for arriving in here to inform us more on the depths of the Armor of Lord Vile, I knew the Armor was actually a very powerful Weapon in the right hands since hearing about in in Playing With Fire(Anything that grants you powers akin to what Nico Di Angelo of Camp Half-Blood has wouldn’t be too shabby a weapon to have!) but this….this is new stuff right there! :shock:

    I didn’t know that about the Armor until now!

  42. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:23 pm -      #42

    If Skulduggery stomps otherwise, should the One-Winged Angel have access to Dissidia Powers?
    I don’t want a stomp in either side’s favor in here, no matter how much I’d like to see Skullhead win!

  43. Stone Assassin July 1, 2012 at 4:24 pm -      #43

    @Commander Cross
    1.Yep Im a bit of a warhamer fan not to mention they look AWESOME

    2. The funny thing is he can call upon the armour at will or when he loses his self control and it complety ubers him up. He is able to beat the current Deathbringer then be able to hold his own against Darkesque.

    Yeah he was basically such an uber necromancer he able to use a soul to keep himself alive after he died by ACCIDENT

  44. Stone Assassin July 1, 2012 at 4:25 pm -      #44

    I am afraid I do not not know much about the one winged angel

  45. Aelfinn July 1, 2012 at 4:27 pm -      #45

    “Lord vile armour is basically allows Skull head to turn into a being with the potential to kill about 3 billion people at once at his own pleasure not to mention to draw energy from death and stab you with a thousand shadow bladesat once on top of his original powers.

    -
    It’s good to get some description of his powers. However, we need not only proof but also how all of these are carried out. This will allow us to understand what is actually happening. In short, we need quotes.
    -
    You could tell that this fight was suggested by Cross just by the match description. The unnecessary exclamation points give it away.

  46. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:30 pm -      #46

    @Councilor Aelfinn

    If the match winds up being a stomp-fest in either side’s favor, will you forgive me if I shot myself in the foot in any way whatsoever? :sad:
    Its been a while since I last suggested a fight at all, hasn’t it?

    Meantime, should Sephiroth have access to all powers from all the games(Final Fantasy or otherwise) he’s been in?

  47. Stone Assassin July 1, 2012 at 4:38 pm -      #47

    I cant give you any proof yet because I haven’t the books to hand but I will have them tomorrow but I can explain the whole 3 billion people thing.

    Necromancers believe that the only way to connect life with death (resulting everybody becoming immortal) to do this need to kill 3 billion at once to activate the magic. To kill these people they need someone called the Deathbringer who is basically a necromancer with the power to achieve this. Acording to Solomen Wreath the only Necromancer who had this power was Lord Vile aka Skullduggery Pleasent. Well thats a lie they thought someone else was the Deathbringer so Lord Vile killed her

  48. Stone Assassin July 1, 2012 at 4:39 pm -      #48

    I’ll be back tommorrow with quotes and proof because im going to bed because I live in england

  49. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:42 pm -      #49

    @SA

    Please return soon.

    Meantime, if Skulduggery stomps, the One-Winged Angel gets access to all powers and will already begin with Masamume throughout the match, alright?

  50. Jwlynas July 1, 2012 at 4:49 pm -      #50

    Six books to look through… though I suppose Lord Vile only gets feats in two or three of them, so that helps matter as lot.

    I’ll get to reading!

  51. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 4:54 pm -      #51

    @Judge J

    Considering this is from a guy who’d love nothing more than to continue possible plans of Haseo vs Skulduggery at a later date until the plans are agreed out, who also happened to be the same guy who tried to introduce Skullhead’s world to factpile for so long, see to it that you do it, alright?

    The introduction of Skulduggery’s world should have happened on factpile a long time ago, if I need be frank! :evil:

  52. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 5:04 pm -      #52

    Although Lord Vile is really tough, i think Sephiroth has this one

  53. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 5:40 pm -      #53

    @CC
    eeh if i recall correctly the masamune is his default weapon.
    -
    also why are sephiroth appearances on FP all AC lately, it is a serious invitation to make my eyes roll and say ‘hey they want the other guy to win that badly’.
    -
    what i want to say with this is that sephiroth gets restricted a great deal because of his short appearance altogheter in FF7AC. he has almost no feats going for him in this incarnation.
    heck i bet even zack from CC has a better feat list when we compare them.
    i get that GM are a serious problem with his other incarnations but this sephiroth is just featless compared to most combatants on FP while we all know he has plenty of shit going for him. i cared to try in sephi vs dresden (stupid me never read the outcome on it) to actually help the sephi side show the power of the small amount of feats at his disposal.
    -
    anyway from what i read here sephiroth is way to short on feats for this one.

  54. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 5:40 pm -      #54

    “Where’s Stealth when ya need feats for Sephi he has them all somewhere I think.”
    -
    You called?
    -
    “Advent Children or Kingdom hearts?”
    -
    Advent Children as Kingdom Hearts isn’t canon to FF7
    -
    Anyways, I’ve heard claims the Skullduggery at his strongest is a planetary lifewiper. Is this true? If so how does he do this and can he utilize said power on the fly?
    -
    Also, what does Skulldugery have in terms of physical and magic abilities?

  55. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 5:42 pm -      #55

    @Hellion Nick
    I think the Advent Children thing is supposed to be the current incarnation, where (according to Word of God) Sephiroth has all materia based spells due to his time spent in the lifestream, he just didn’t view Cloud as a threat and toyed with him

  56. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 5:54 pm -      #56

    @SteathRanger
    I cannot remember everything becuase i read the books like a year ago, buy Skulldugery uses elemental type magic, and mainly uses fire blast’s. He also carries a gun, and in his evil form when he becomes Lord Vile he uses necromancy

  57. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 5:59 pm -      #57

    Elemental magic won’t really help much when Sephiroth can use shield, which absorbs elemental damage to heal him. Even so Sephiroth has walked through fire before. Necromancy, not sure how he could use it directly against Seph? Any feats of his powers? What else does he have?
    -
    Does Skulduggerry have any feats of physical ability (strength, speed, reactions, durability) that stack up to Sephiroth’s?. Even if Skulduggery would be resistant to physical attacks, Sephiroth is strong enough to shatter large sections of skyscrapers and fast enough to swat bullets out of the air, together would be a lethal combo that would likely demolish him if he were to get hit

  58. Blood Dancer July 1, 2012 at 6:09 pm -      #58

    Reflect anyone?

  59. Harbinger Of Pastries July 1, 2012 at 6:10 pm -      #59

    I have the first SP 5 books if anyone wants them.

  60. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 6:11 pm -      #60

    @SR
    ok so he actually is allowed to bring his arsenal of spells even though he didn’t show them in AC? Orber is RL friend of mine and the way he explained the incarnation rules to me, it seemed that since sephiroth didn’t use spells for what i recall in AC he was not allowed to use em now.
    -
    if he is allowed to use all of his spells like you say though. i have some more confidence again that he might just pull this one off.

  61. Harbinger Of Pastries July 1, 2012 at 6:11 pm -      #61

    I have the first SP 5 ebooks if anyone wants them.

  62. Zazax July 1, 2012 at 6:13 pm -      #62

    “Orber is RL friend of mine and the way he explained the incarnation rules to me, it seemed that since sephiroth didn’t use spells for what i recall in AC he was not allowed to use em now.”
    Normally this would be the case, but Word of God states that he has them, so he does.

  63. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 6:14 pm -      #63

    “ok so he actually is allowed to bring his arsenal of spells even though he didn’t show them in AC?”
    -
    Well seeing as Word of God says that he canonically has access to all materia based spells without materia due to his time spent in the lifestream, yes he can use his magic spells
    -
    “if he is allowed to use all of his spells like you say though”
    -
    He can
    -
    Anyways, what feats of power does Skulduggery have? Or Lord Vile for that matter? Other than statements saying that he’s “uber powerful and super strong”

  64. Blood Dancer July 1, 2012 at 6:16 pm -      #64

    REFLECT!

  65. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 6:17 pm -      #65

    Which defelcts Skulduggery’s attacks back at him :maybe

  66. Blood Dancer July 1, 2012 at 6:18 pm -      #66

    Dude, Edea fucked me up with that one…

  67. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 6:25 pm -      #67

    @StealthRanger
    Skullduggery’s physical abilities are that of a normal human, even though he is a skeleton.
    When he uses necromancy he uses some shadow magic and shadows.
    Cant remember much but i’ll check the books for more feats

  68. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:26 pm -      #68

    @Skulduggery geeks and buffs:

    You’re ready to bust in the heavy artillery at any moment, right?

  69. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 6:27 pm -      #69

    “Skullduggery’s physical abilities are that of a normal human, even though he is a skeleton.”
    -
    So im under the impression that Sephiroth would babyshake him up close then?
    -
    “When he uses necromancy he uses some shadow magic and shadows.”
    -
    What does he do with them and how does he use them in combat?

  70. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:29 pm -      #70

    @General

    Who or what is Edea, if I may ask?

  71. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:32 pm -      #71

    This match is either going to end this week on a decently positive note, or is just gonna wind up being one of those weeks with a majorly bad taste in everyone’s mouth to look back on.
    I’m hoping for the former, in which case congrats to us all if it happens!
    If its the latter, Epic Fail awaits us all!

  72. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 6:35 pm -      #72

    Oh and as for the physical abilities thing. Even if Skuldugery is fairly resistant to physical damage, being already dead, Sephiroth is strong enough to literally shatter sections of skyscrapers with his casual sword swings and slice through steel and concrete with zero effort, any such blow would likely seriously damage Skulduggery, or cleave right through him (I can post vids later on if anyone needs them)

    Or does he have some form of enhanced durability/regeneration?

  73. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 6:37 pm -      #73

    eeh just trying to spark up some of my memories, but i do recall reading somewhere that the FF7AC creators stated that sephiroth didn’t fight at full strenght vs cloud in the final battle in the movie. i know this still leaves his true power in the dark. i am under the impression they said this to leave possibilities open to milk the FF7 francise some more if they so much as wish to. however i feld like it would maybe be valueble information in the long run.

    @Cross

    .

    Look her up yourself.

  75. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:45 pm -      #75

    @HN

    Some people disregard CIS when its convenient, some people disregard the threat of outright wank when its convienient, some people disregard the non-hostile intentions of the mods in general when its convienent, some people disregard common sense when its convienient.

    Last one is a Big Deal for me personally, even though thus far no one is doing any of those sins in there(The Last One I take great offense with), let’s just keep it that way, alright?

  76. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:47 pm -      #76

    @General

    I did, Final Fantasy 8, I see?

  77. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 6:47 pm -      #77

    not only can sephiroth slice through concrete and solid metal like its nothing like SR said.
    there is also the fact where he can produce energy beams witha swing of his sword, not to mention he can strike a target multiple times in a single second if they are unable to dodge of course. this last feat practicly goes under his feat “can strike his sword faster then the eye can see”.
    so for what i understand so far, if our skinny friend is really that weak vs physical damage he really needs to have something to defend himself constantly from sephiroths onslought.

  78. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 6:47 pm -      #78

    Skulldugery can use his fire powers as a flame thrower, he is also shown to be a great swordsman in book 5 as he takes on an undefeated sowrdsman and beats him, he can also use earth magic by clapping his hands ( He brings down a whole cave by doing this)

  79. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 6:51 pm -      #79

    @Sylar

    Does Skulduggery carry any Abnormal Swords after the 4th novel?
    I suspect he’ll probably need it, gut hunch says.

  80. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 6:53 pm -      #80

    When he’s Lord Vile he can manipulate darkness and shadows to his will, this could include using them to choke you or spikes. He can also shadow walk, this is a power similar to teleportation, but with a much shorter range, it is shown that the caster creates a wall of shadow and steps into it, appearing somewhere else

  81. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 6:55 pm -      #81

    @sylar
    how good was this undefeated swordsman?
    Don’t forget sephiroth is a swordsman of extreme strenght, speed and skill.
    -
    @CC
    Lets just keep that memory of mine from post 73
    somewhere where the sun doesn’t shine in that case. besides it would only slightly help me determine would would be better if both sides end up to actually being an even match up.
    and since SR came in with info i also saw tides turning a bit for now.

  82. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 6:56 pm -      #82

    Oh, I should also mention Sephiroth has teleportation as shown in his fight with Zack Fair:
    -
    www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_991665&v=K9yeDeGzWmo&src_vid=FMFcyXWxmF4&feature=iv 2:56 ish onwards
    -
    Which would make it easier for him to close the distance
    -
    “there is also the fact where he can produce energy beams witha swing of his sword”
    -
    Which can cut through massive steel and concrete structures with no resistance as well (Junon Cannon)
    -
    He’s also a causal bullet timer, being able to deflect bullets with his sword and being superior to characters who can do so

  83. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 6:57 pm -      #83

    how fast is this shadow walk sylar?

  84. Hellion Nick July 1, 2012 at 7:00 pm -      #84

    rofl nvm SR actually reminds me why i like sephiroth so much. that teleport is a pain for any opponent.

  85. Sylar121 July 1, 2012 at 7:02 pm -      #85

    the shadow walk is almost instant, the swordsman wouldnt have been as good as sephiroth, Skulldugery can also create solid walls of air as a defense and use Air magic as a weapon blowing people away.

  86. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 7:03 pm -      #86

    @Judge J

    Know that I placed my account on the line with this match to make sure its a legitimately fair fight for both sides, alright?
    If I fail, my account is to do as you and the other mods please.

  87. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 7:27 pm -      #87

    This match is most likely gonna take a while, isn’t it?
    Until Judge J or the other mods arrive in here or the main bulk of the Skulduggery forces arrive back there, if anyone needs me I’ll go and plan out another 1-vs-1 vs fight, alright?

  88. StealthRanger July 1, 2012 at 8:06 pm -      #88

    “Skulldugery can also create solid walls of air”
    -
    How powerful are they? Can they hold up to attacks that can level sections of skyscrapers?
    -
    Anyways since I believe nobody answered my question, if Lord Vile is actually a life wiper like I’ve heard he is, through what method is he a life-wiper and can he utilize it on the fly?
    -
    Anybody else got any feats of Lord Vile? (quotes, specific feats/instances would be nice rather than “hes really strong and invincible and powerful” statements)
    -
    I can still see Sephiroth teleporting around Skulduggery and hitting him with Masamune with his vastly superior reaction time
    -
    I thought I should also mention that Sephiroth is also apparently incapable of tiring and is easily capable of outfighting superhumans who carve up steel and concrete and dodge bullets with little to no effort for stamina points
    -
    I can provide vids for Sephiroth’s feats later on if anyone wants

  89. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 8:26 pm -      #89

    @Judge J

    Where are you?

  90. fallstar knight July 1, 2012 at 9:04 pm -      #90

  93. Lightning July 1, 2012 at 9:27 pm -      #93

  94. fallstar knight July 1, 2012 at 9:30 pm -      #94

    indeed
    the sword of promised victory vs the unfading light of the lake
    -

  95. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 9:31 pm -      #95

    @Lightning

    Is that Arthur’s Gender-flipped Avatar from Fate/Stay Night, Saber, I see? :)

    Also, you got the quotes from the Post-Faceless ones Volumes at the ready?
    I was trying to introduce the World of Skulduggery Pleasant to the site, a whole lot of monkey wrenches got in the way of it before it could happen before today happened, so…here we are.

    Please tell me you won’t accuse me of never doing anything for Skullhead’s world from now on, alright?

  96. Lightning July 1, 2012 at 9:33 pm -      #96

    I wonder if Arondight has the same power in terms of DC compared to Excalibur though.
    -
    @CC
    Yep. I don’t have the books though.

  97. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 9:36 pm -      #97

    @To everyone else on the side of Skulduggery Pleasant(AKA Mr. Skullhead/Magical Bag o’ Bones!) himself:

    Know that I am actually rooting for Skullhead himself to walk out of this Arena as relatively semi-alive as possible, alright?

    I may not be of all that much use except to make sure that the fight is as fair for both sides as possible, if I were more useful the Post!-Faceless Ones volumes would have already been released in the U.S, for one thing and for another I wouldn’t be feeling Landy has abandoned the U.S!

    If you wish to prove me wrong and do more than prove my hopes right for the match, this is your chance to do so, so here is my following dozen or so words:

    Fight like you’ve never fought before, and give them nothing, but Take from them EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!

  98. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 9:38 pm -      #98

    @To Lightning

    OOC: Rin x Saber is so much fun. :P :lol:

    Back to the kombat: Which Skulduggery novels do you have and don’t have at the moment?

  99. fallstar knight July 1, 2012 at 9:40 pm -      #99

    “I wonder if Arondight has the same power in terms of DC compared to Excalibur though”
    not sure it was said to be excaliburs equal but its unknown if it has its own version of the excaliblast like sir gawains sword excalibur galatine: the reborn sword of victory.
    wich has ( a horisontal slash iirc) that gather light from the sun not the earth
    Arondight does boost his stats one rank when drawn though

  100. Commander Cross July 1, 2012 at 9:43 pm -      #100

    @NKB

    If you checked on #97, you’ll probably note a part of it was a shout-out to 300: The movie, was it not?

    So back to the kombat: Do you know where you can find the post!-Faceless ones Skulduggery Pleasant Volumes?
