Here we have two characters with proven God slaying skills. The first is Perseus from the “Titans” movies and Greek Mythology. His opponent is none other than Hall of Fame winner Kratos from the God of War franchise.
Both are at Mt. Olympus. All weapons and items available to them.
Which one would win?

Heh, the name of the suggester didn’t show O_o
-
Anyways IB with Kratos until something good comes up for this incarnation of Perseus
Same. Don’t remember being impressed by Perseus.
Perseus has the 3 main God weapons (Zues’ bolt, Hades’ staff and Posiden’s Trident) I think he may have a pretty damn good shot, he took down Kronus (I think that is what he was called) with one hit once the weapons formed into one large one.
Some info on Kronus:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq20R-Vuv8g&feature=related
Can’t find a vid which has teh final fight scene which is Perseus vs Kronus.
*looks at picture of Kratos*
-
Small head.
He can’t be from both the movies and the myths. That needs two rounds.
That picture of Kratos looks retarded.
-
Haven’t seen the titan’s movies, what are Perseus’ feats.
So Kratos possesses Blade of Olympus and Golden Fleece I can see an easy win .

Best Kratos picture. Ever.
I take it we are using a combo of movie and myth Perseus ? As for that pic of Kratos … it looks like Aang and Kratos had a kid :-/
@Skalkorik13:
“As for that pic of Kratos … it looks like Aang and Kratos had a kid :-/”
-
Haha! Seems most people have a problem with that picture. I think the close-up blade and the seemingly large right arm makes Kratos’ head appear small in that picture.
“I think the close-up blade and the seemingly large right arm makes Kratos’ head appear small in that picture.”
Kratos’ head is just small in the pic.
-
Oh, I saw both the Titans movies… I don’t know if the movie Perseus could stand up to Kratos, but he does have some awesome weapons as Hitman H94 said. If we’re using the original Clash of the Titans, Perseus gets even more weapons.
-
“The first is Perseus from the “Titans” movies and Greek Mythology. ”
Well that’s good. It’s not limited to the movies.
I’m still not entirely sure if Perseus could take this, but he does have a pretty good chance.
The battle is gana start like this:
browse.deviantart.com/?order=9&q=anime+kratos+god+of+war&offset=72#/d2o3xwm
And is gana end Like this:
browse.deviantart.com/?order=9&q=anime+kratos+god+of+war&offset=72#/d2o8zbi
Yea Kratos have this in the bag.
@Rorschach:
“Kratos’ head is just small in the pic.”
-
Impasse.
“Impasse.”
It was meant as a joke.
Why does Kratos look like a,little kid?
@GuardianAngel1911:
“Why does Kratos look like a,little kid?”
-
That’s Kratos when he was a child. His name was Kidtos.
didnt e have medusa head so he could petrify kratos at the start?
kratos actually fought and killed the mythologically accurate perseus in gow 2. now it says all weapons and items. for kratos, is that everything in gow 3, or everything over the series?
@fallstar theif
in both gow 2 and 3 the fleece has shown to be more than able to reflect the stare of gorgons, quite often mind you. even the strongest gorgon, (eurayle in gow 2) cant get around the fleece.
what happens if Kratos junior (I can’t help it that pic makes it look like Kratos and Aphrodite’s last fling had something come from it.) and Perseus both point their gorgon heads at each other at the exact same moment?
“in both gow 2 and 3 the fleece has shown to be more than able to reflect the stare of gorgons, quite”
the stare in each work diferently
“and Perseus both point their gorgon heads at each other at the exact same moment?”
they have to roll for inititive
^
lol
“what happens if Kratos junior (I can’t help it that pic makes it look like Kratos and Aphrodite’s last fling had something come from it.”
O.O my god……… god of war 4……..
maybe Aphrodite drug his body off? AphroKratos the man who will forge the new world from chaos? Sound like a hook to anyone?
“didnt e have medusa head so he could petrify kratos at the start?”
-
Kratos can also summon Gorgon Souls with the Claws of Hades that petrify stuffs so yeah
@SR
not to mention if we are going with all weapons (it wasn’t specified) then he has eurayles head, which is far more versatile
If Kratos is using ALL the items he’s EVER had, I don’t see how dear old Perseus is going to make it out of this one, even with the Spear of Triam.
lol very true. someone should really get that specified
Seeing as we go by current incarnations, Kratos would likely have his GoW3 equipment methinks
says all weapons available.
Also which mount Olympus does it mean? Myth Olympus, God of War Olympus, Clash of the Titans original Olympus, new Clash of the Titans Olympus?
it could also mean real life mount olympus, which is just a mountain in greece
@Hac
good point. guess I just figured it must have been one of those. Who suggested this anyway? Did Admin just come up with it or…or what?
So Kratos has all his weapons eh?
-
Zeus’ Fury, Poseidon’s Rage, Souls of Hades, Atlas Quake, Cronos’ Rage, Bow of Apollo, Boots of Hermes, Blade of Olympus, probably more
-
Sounds like a pretty formidable combo
-
Couple with Kratos’ colossal super strength (Class 100+ lifting strength and Class K+ striking strength) and blade skills
“Did Admin just come up with it or…or what?”
-
Probably admin. I think he said in another thread that he had this idea in mind since Clash of the Titans came out
Match says all weapons and items. Does that include his time slow stuff?
Kratos can only slow time with a Statue of Fate in the battlefield. In other words that would require a bias battlefield and due to the neutral battlefield rule, theres no statues here for Kratos to slow time
-
So the Amulet of Fate would be redundant here
Yeah I was just wondering whether the all items/weapons bit included his timefuckery. I guess not, still Kratos should be stronger/faster/more durable than Perseus.
well the match takes place on Olympus no version of Olympus has fate statues ergo it doesn’t matter if he does or doesn’t have the amulet.
any one else excited for GOW ascension?
Looks pretty decent I suppose. Although I dislike how they still left GoW3 hanging
Yeah kinda weird to do a prequel…..unless its all done as a flashback like God of War 1 did…
@Admiral
I hope this match can go either way, to be frank.
Either way I may have to get Skulduggery Pleasant vs Kratos to plan out since Skullhead himself could use a match, and I’m working to help him out in there to the best of my abilities.
So where are the buffs for 1st Perseus, here?
Perseus’ Medusa’s head is more effective than Kratos’ (from what I’ve seen). Seriously, he just needs to pull it out, and if Kratos sees it, he’s stone.
@Councilor Aelfinn
So if both sides resort to Gorgon heads, its a matter of a quick-draw session in itself, right?
Since I’m hoping to avert this, shall we see what else both sides can throw at each other, otherwise?
“Perseus’ Medusa’s head is more effective than Kratos’ (from what I’ve seen). Seriously, he just needs to pull it out, and if Kratos sees it, he’s stone.”
_
Poseidon’s rage or Head of Helios is an instant death of Perseus .
@Hellboy
I could maybe see Poseidon’s Rage but Head of Helios? it doesn’t even one shot the weak enemies.
@Admiral
Quick-draw session time, already?
I think he means Head of Helios would blind/stun Perseus and buy Kratos time to use one of his big powers amirite?
-
Then theres Zeus’ Fury, Souls of Hades, Cronos’ Rage, Bow of Apollo, Bow of Typhon, etc which could also be useful
“it doesn’t even one shot the weak enemies.”
_
It does blind the enemies for a moment and what are the odds against Kratos when he cannot even see him ? there are many more magic’s can one shot him like eye of Atlantis .
@Hellboy
oh okay I thought you meant it would kill him. Though, there is the highly reflective shield to deal with if that strategy is brought in.
There’s also the winged sandals (it says mythical as well) which allow true flight, something none of Kratos magics allow, flight plus invisibility equals major trouble for Kratos.
Helios’ Head can dispel invisible objects in gameplay is anything to go by (revealing invisible chests) so it pretty much counters Perseus’ invisibility
-
Flight while an advantage for Perseus, Kratos has the Bow of Apollo and the Bow of Typhon as well as Zeus’ Thunderbolts to pick him off, if hes close enough Kratos could drag him down with the Blades of Exile
-
How fast can he fly though, and what kind of defense/ranged capabilities does he have?
“something none of Kratos magics allow, flight plus invisibility equals major trouble for Kratos.”
_
Army of Hades are the intangible souls and they go hunt down the enemies most of his magic’s makes him immune to damage.
_
Its hard to say since I don’t even know which Perseus we are using and his speed , strength etc…
I don’t know of any true ranged powers besides medusa’s head, movies may have something but haven’t seen Wrath of the Titans
according to the set up all the Titans movies (not sure where the original clash of the titans falls) and mythology meaning well….pretty much every version aside from the God of War version.
Wait why are we pulling from Greek Mythology for Perseus when Admin had the CotT version in mind? The Greek Mythology thing was probably saying that Perseus originated from Original Greek Mythology
-
Nobody in Greek Mythology is a multiversal singularity afaik
” The first is Perseus from the “Titans” movies and Greek Mythology”
even if it does mean just movies does the first Clash of the Titans count as part of the continuity?
Im not sure about that as I haven’t seen the movie, but I assumed it was its own universe being a movie
-
*shrug*
Except for Chronos, the Primordial of the Space/Time continuum, but then again the thing’s Omnichronological, so….*
1.) (To Admiral: Does that thing count?)
@Stealth
it says Titans movies though, thats the thing nothing is really specified
does persues still have medusa’s head
Oh sh*t, Kratos had a SON?!
Both of these have taken on Gods and Titans, and it appears to me that both have immortal-slaying weapons (and I believe Kratos is a God).
I think Kratos has something of a range advantage with his chain-blades, but that could be countered with Perseus using the combined God Weapon spear thingy to wrap up the chains and possibly toss Kratos around. Though Kratos is most certainly not weak and could disarm Perseus…maybe literally.
Clash of the Titans is the prequel of Wrath of the Titans, I also believe there is an older movie that is also part of this series which Denzel Washington is in however I have no idea what is was called.
Also according to Greek moythology Perseus also has a adamantine sword, adamant basically means a hard substance so it is hard to say what exactly the sword is made from and all we can assume is that it was the hardest material available at the time. He also has Hades’ helm of darkness, this allows Perseus to become invisible. Herme’s gave him his winged sandals, which give Perseus the ability to fly and Athena gave him a shield which was polished and all shiny!
I think the flight gives him a nice edge against Kratos depending on how accurate he is with his bow but with Hades’ helm I think he may take this unless Kratos has some form of weaponry to allow him to see invisible objects.
“I also believe there is an older movie that is also part of this series which Denzel Washington is in however I have no idea what is was called.”
Clash of the Titans. I’m fairly sure the Sam Worthington movie was a reboot of the original Clash of the Titans.
Captain Epic is correct there was an old Clash of the Titans and the new is a reboot hence the confusion as to exactly what feats are and are not in play.
So is this composite Perseus then?
the way the scenario is written it sounds like it. It says Titans movies and Greek Mythology.
“unless Kratos has some form of weaponry to allow him to see invisible objects.”
_
Head of Helios
_
Don’t forget Kratos can use blade of Olympus, Golden Fleece with much better skills and reaction time than Perseus . I saw the clash of the Titans he got his ass kicked by Hades and he barely killed the Scorpio don’t know about wrath of Titans though.
_
Kratos can basically use every magic like Poseidon’s rage, Army of Hades and eye of Atlantis 3 of them will one shot Perseus. In close range h2h or sword 2 s Perseus will be lucky to last more than 10 seconds.
@hellboy
Thanks for clarifing Kratos’ equipment
-
Whilst that may be the case Perseus still has a weapon which one hit killed Kronus, I doubt Kratos will survive such a weapon but I agree with everything else you have said.
Without the weapon Kratos would stop.
Perseus seemed to struggle against Ares and if I recall correctly only won since his son distracted him for a few seconds. Perseus is strong enough to fight Ares but isn’t as skilled as him, the way he won was by strangling him till he died.
Perseus just isn’t on the same level as Kratos though. I have watched both of the Sam Worthington films, and Perseus just doesn’t have the strength and durability to keep up with Kratos. Though the spear thing is impressive.
“Though the spear thing is impressive.”
_
That’s the only weapon could on hit kratos while kratos has plenty . But the problem is I don’t how he will even going to get a chance to hit Kratos.
_
SO I guess Kratos losing streak finally comes to an end
He is kind of the new Master Chief. Stuck in huge losing streak, then manages a win. What is your icon hellboy?
“Perseus just isn’t on the same level as Kratos though. I have watched both of the Sam Worthington films, and Perseus just doesn’t have the strength and durability to keep up with Kratos. Though the spear thing is impressive.”
-
Yeah pretty much. When you look at this fight in detail, Kratos wins handily due to his vaster arsenal of magic powers coupled with his strength and durability
-
Eh, at least Kratos finally scored win. Good for him
@StealthRanger:
“Eh, at least Kratos finally scored win. Good for him”
-
An easy win, it seems. Oh, and he’s a composite form.
“What is your icon hellboy?”
_
Kratos nemesis Spawn
Composite as in he also has his god powers?
-
If so then its even more overkill considering he can grow huge and spam arrows the size of redwoods with the Bow of Apollo, like he did against Aang
-
Thats just one way he could end it if thats the case
“Composite as in he also has his god powers?”
_
“Both are at Mt. Olympus. All weapons and items available to them”. No he is not God of War here it only says all weapons and equipment .
@hellboy
Oh ok, just wondering seeing as Proto said he was composite here
-
Eh, Kratos still wins handily given his vaster arsenal of weapons and magic powers
-
But at least he can’t pull the same tactic here that he did with Aang (Giant Poseidon’s Rage or Giant Apollos Bow Spawm)
What you guys think about Kratos time travel power .
Many ppl say he needs Loom Chamber but if you at at www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCg6a3UpwaE
2:20 there is no loom chamber when he goes back with Army of Titans in same video he used the loom chamber to find the great war location .
Any comment ?
That is pretty intresting. I had no clue Kratos had even time traveled. He should meet up with The Doctor.
“That is pretty intresting. I had no clue Kratos had even time traveled. He should meet up with The Doctor.”
_
Yep and there is one cut scene when Gaia said
“Remember Kratos you have power to control time itself”
As far I think Loom chamber was only meant to find a Location But when he saves the Titan’s from the great war blade of Olympus attack and attack the Mount Olympus is damn impressive.
Both Perseus and Kratos have the shoes of Hermes.
How’s THAT gonna work out?
They both shop at God Locker.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf99KavqhLg
^ lol
www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_5yoM52Nqk
“He is kind of the new Master Chief. Stuck in huge losing streak, then manages a win”
-
Nah, hes more like the new Dante. Lost several times in a row and then manages a win (hilariously Dante also lost 6 times in a row before he scored another victory). Hes nowhere near as overused as MC, and his losing streak wasn’t 20+ losses in a row
@stealthranger
what you think about Kratos time travel power ?
I think we have all agreed for Kratos to win the FP award then.
-
This was kinda stompish because of the fact Perseus is basically a human near peak form, the only thing that seemed to have given him the chance was the Spear but he isn’t fast enough to use it against Kratos.
While I agree Kratos wins, it is a bit of a stomp, which don’t get awards, or shouldn’t at least
-
Well Perseus like said has the means to hurt and even defeat Kratos, but hes outclassed in every physical aspect for them to matter much
-
He would have been better matched against Ryu Hayabusa, Akuma or Yujiro Hanma but thats just me I guess. Oh well… at least Kratos managed to score a victory
-
“what you think about Kratos time travel power ?”
-
Well I think he needs the Loom to make a time jump to another time period, but he doesn’t need it to return to the current timeframe. I don’t know for sure, but thats just my theory
Sooo does kratos get the win or what?
Kratos uses life cycle thus it is a stomp no award.
@StealthRanger
Kratos time power of life cycle 100% doesn’t need the loom chamber thus it is spite match.
Except life cycle has very limited range with its time slowing and its time rewind only works on background effects (like dat tower), he has to cast it more than once and it takes a little while to summon
-
And time travel requires the loom chamber, as explained in Last Man Standing: Round 1
-
Not that it matters anyways as Kratos still wins
didnt ares kick perseus ass pretty good? so kratos should be able to take him
@ka-tet19
Ares of God of War=/=Wrath of the Titans Ares. So thats not the best way to pick a victor since they aren’t comparable. Kratos does win though
@GuardianAngel1911
good point. your right its still not even a contest though
@ka-tet19
yeah, it’s a bit disappointing, could have been a good match if Perseus had better strength and combat feats.
