Suggested by Commander Cross
Nodoka receives the full benefit of her pactio bond as though Negi were lending her some of his power. The arena is Pokemon Stadium where the battleground changes every three minutes.
Nodoka Miyazaki makes her debut from the Negima! series taking on Hinata Hyuuga, also making her debut from the Naruto series. They’re both very shy but capable fighters, and that’s all for similarities. Nodoka has the ability to read minds when she uses her book: Diarium Ejus. Hinata has the Byakugan to aid her, a blood line ability of multiple visions including X-Ray and 360 degrees.
Which of these two girls will grow a spine first and become the victor?

Happy now Commander?
Uhm, not sure about Nodoka but as far as fighting Hinata has gotten braver, in what little she’s shown up in the recent chapters.
My bets going on Hinata to win
Nodoka and Hinata start making out. *nosebleed* I’m betting on Nodoka though, she should be a high-level Mage EOS.
I don’t know, the arena shifts will throw them off and with her abilities Hinata can more quickly adapt to the new environment to take advantage of it
Reading minds is as good as the Byakugan. Nodoka should also be hypersonic based on the series as every Mage inside was moving at extremely high speeds.
Oh it is no doubt, and while high speed is great for some areas, others would if I remember the arena right cause some issues if your trying to use speed
Hmmm, CIS would probably make them become friends if anything. Good thing EOS Nodoka got over Negi.
@Lieutenant
Yes!!!!
(goes to cry rivers of tears of joy!)
Now can we bring Krazy in here so he can join in on the mayhem in here?
@Lightning
The idea of a make-out…not too shabby an idea, but I digress.
@Admiral
So will this fight be fun?
Honestly, I can’t remember Nodoka actually fighting. If so, Hinata would win. Though Nodoka is better looking.
@Lightning
That last one is a matter of opinion my friend.
But I do think Hinata wins in a straight fight though perhaps not easily
EOS Nodoka is really hot. I mean the girl-next-door-but-still-sexy hot.
@Lightning
Where is Krazy when you need the guy?
One thing’s for sure, its gonna cost someone a ‘lot’ of medical insurance, I’m sure.
@CC
The doctor who treats them is going to be a lucky guy…
@Lightning
Maybe, but by all means, let’s just say that its probably the most lighthearted match I ever suggested, yet, alright?(With the aid of a lot of people, Master Sarge + Krazy included!)
I’m more inclined towards Nodoka since she has the mind-reader book though.
What was that special technique that Hinata invented again?
The one where chakra blades come out of her hands?
-
From what I know of Hinata, she’s very dangerous in close combat.
-
@ Commander
Start debating.
@Lightning
Fair enough.
I’m just waiting for Krazy to arrive, already so we can get this show on the road for real, agreed?
@ Commander
Then make preliminary skirmishes.
-
Suppose Nodoka reads Hinata’s mind, there probably will be one thing in there that will stand out more than most…Naruto.
-
That said, Hinata is good at making walls. You just have to look at her shy personality for proof.
@Lieutenant
Can Hinata read minds, as well?
If she can, then its possible that in general, all Nodoka would think about would be with regards to Negi Springfield if I had to hazard guesses.
We need more preliminary skirmishes, to be sure, so let’s keep them coming until Krazy arrives, agreed?
Hinata can’t read minds. And current incarnation Nodoka has long gotten over Negi.
I don’t think Hinata can read minds but her field of vision is all but all encompasing in an enclosed arena. more than likely it’ll come down to who outmaneuvers who first in cqc
@ G.A
Agreed.
Aisde from mind readin, what else can Nodoka do.
Going by what I know, which isn’t much, Hinata murders her in close combat.
Hinata can kill any person rather easily…the question is, will she?
Winner of the fight Hinata
Overall winner, us the audience, and their after fight doctor
@ Twinky
Just because she’s shy doesn’t mean she won’t kill.
She IS a ninja after all.
-
Maybe next time I’ll suggest a fight involving some characters from Baccano! or Last Exile, maybe.
Nice to see some more Commander Cross oriented matches coming up. Not to rip on him (again) for his derailing of other matches but based on how long that’s been going on he’s been waiting a damn long time for a match more in his vein. Two in short succession now, though? Makes the non-asshole in me kind of happy to see someone get what they’ve been wanting for a while now. Just a shame I don’t know jack all about these characters so I can’t really do more than this long winded form of “grats, dude.”
Hermit,
She just doesn’t seem very mean or aggressive at all. But she wins in any case.
Hinata the useless?
I wouldn’t put her against a normal human with a gun.
@ Laharl
-
Useless enough to have thousands of fanfiction devoted to her.
-
*shrugs*
Lol. Laharl’s hating on random matches now.
Yeah don’t hate on Hinata, her fanboys are dangerous, and then theres Naruto in the latest arc who seems to have switched from Sakura to Hinata, and he’s not one you tick off
“Useless enough to have thousands of fanfiction devoted to her.”So do naruto and sasuke unfortunately.
“then theres Naruto in the latest arc who seems to have switched from Sakura to Hinata”
I could have sworn naruto has only kissed sasuke and is still after him.
Bijuu even teased him for it.
I guess you dislike naruto.
I sense immense hostility in you Laharl
@ G.A.
Hinata’s considerably large fanbase should be responsible for that.
-
I don’t read the Naruto manga, but I do have an account on Fanfiction.net, I based my conclusion on what I had observed there (more fanfics of Naruto/Hinata compared to Naruto/Sakura)
@Hermit
Well it could be my inner Naruhina supporter seeing things so ymmv. It does seem to lean there though
“I based my conclusion on what I had observed there” That explains a lot.
Hey guess what masterchief can beat the hulk.
“I don’t read the Naruto manga”
She is pathetic in the manga even when she tries she’s useless.
@Laharl
Are you sure your not getting Sakura and Hinata backwards?
Hinata is MORE useless than Sakura.
And yet Hinata was fighting on the front lines while Sakura has accepted she’s not useful in a war
i26.mangareader.net/naruto/437/naruto-8782.jpg
Best feat.
Actually her best feat is non-canon and against Sakura. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNYJN_LrWk8
-
and then theres Naruto in the latest arc who seems to have switched from Sakura to Hinata…
Whoo! My ship is winning!
@Akuma
It seems anyway but yes NaruHina is looking to be real
“Actually her best feat is non-canon and against Sakura. ”
It makes her all the more useless and they know it.
One line lulz.
Hinata can actualy fight……so
outskirtsbattledome.wikispaces.com/Character+Profile+-+Nodoka+Miyazaki
outskirtsbattledome.wikispaces.com/Character+Profile+-+Hyuuga+Hinata
“do naruto and sasuke unfortunately.”
dammd fujoshi……
—
never read negima so i cant say much for the fight but i will say hinata is not the most useless naruto character.
@Laharl
you realize that link you gave explicitly states Nodoka is not a combat mage and needs fighters to protect her usually yes? Lagena Signatoria may prove to be a problem if it affects Hinata’s chakra abilities but Hinata is still a highly skilled martial artist and has weapons.
Not saying Hinata definitely wins but I’m still leaning towards her.
@Lizard God
For the love of the stars, THANK YOU!!!! (goes to cry rivers of tears of joy in happiness, but now needs to see Krazy hurry up and get his awesomeness in high gear!)
@Admiral
If I said this kind of feels like a precursor to another project I have in mind in the near-future, would you believe me?
@Everyone
Debate away in open combat for both sides, please?
We need to see how much in the way of medical bills does either side have to worry about, to be frank.
nodaka looks so much like Maehara, Shinobu from love hina, well actuly its not that surprising as they have the samw author
@Squire
I wonder if Shinobu Maehara needs a match at some point, but enough on that idea, right now we’re still in a match that’s bound to be worth a whole lot of medical insurance for the side that gets beaten badly, right?
Shall we return to it, while the happy glands are still active?
@cross
shinobu is just a regular girl(12 at start of serise 19 at end) love hina is a harem romcom like most of the authors works besides negima.
as for the fight im waiting for feats for nodaka
@Squire
Fair enough, which is why I also am awaiting Krazy to hurry up and be at his A-Game for this, no matter which side he’s gonna be taking, agreed?
When will he hurry up so the match can shift into higher gears in earnest, so we can tally the medical bills, already?(Among other things?)
P.S: Actually in fact, I can actually STAND(and by that I mean grit my teeth on, not have a One-Nighter with, if that’s what you’re wondering!) Hinata, but a part of my heart wants to see Nodoka gain a hard-fought victory in here, good thing this is actually a lot more considerably light-hearted when you compare it to a lot of the fights before this one got posted, right?
Considering I know next to nothing about Negima (Also too lazy to consult a guy who DOES know.), and have not followed Naruto much in a good while, I’m going to say Latooni Subota flies down in her Fairlion and all three of them dance to Fairy Dang Sing.
Because fights that end in a happy ending draw may or may not piss Akuma off.
@Atma
Care to tell about Latooni Subota, while also awaiting the odds that Krazy will hurry up so the match can shift into higher gears?
Like I said before, this match is reasonably more light-hearted than a lot of the other fights going on, but this does not mean that no one’s gonna pay in cash or other means that medical insurance is paid, alright?
@ CC
I have been at work for most of the day.
-
Nodoka’s artifact works by writing out the thoughts of the person whose name is thinking of. The downside is obviously, that she would have to read while fighting, it only reads a single person’s mind, and she needs to know the person’s name. However, in the magical world she got two artifacts. One of them is an earpiece that is basically a text to spoken translator. The other is a finger piece that writes out a person’s name if you ask for it, it also seems to give her answers to questions when she asks people whose mind she is reading. This combination gives her effective mind reading on a single target.
-
Nodoka does not have any real fighting feats. Although she is able to use some magic, such as magical reinforcement which allows her to make herself stronger and faster with magic, she has not shown much use of magic. Although using her artifact, she has fought against Dynamis, a person that was able to fight with RT II Negi, to the point where she got a staff and used it to teleport away. She is part of the ISSDA R&D Department, but it is not explained what sort of training that would mean she has.
@Krazy
At long last, What the Tartarus took you so long to arrive in this show?
Shall we see if we can start up the engines for the match, in earnest?
I have to say that I’m going with Hinata on this one. While having magic is good, I’m not sure if it can save Nodoka
@Krazy
What else would Nodoka have in martial arts abilities, apart from facing Dynamis and living to tell of it?
@Admiral
Is there more to add to the match, now that Krazy’s here?
I hate NarutoxHinata, NarutoxSakura and want to destroy the horror that is NarutoxSasuke.
-
On topic, Nodoka has not shown any combat feats. But she’s definitely more useful than Hinata.
@Lightning
Where do you want to elaborate in terms of fighting abilities?
Nodoka’s not an outright sitting duck by any chance, isn’t she?
So far the match is still lighthearted enough to not provoke anyone for any reason in general, right?
“Is there more to add to the match, now that Krazy’s here?”
-
Think of something.
“I hate NarutoxHinata, NarutoxSakura and want to destroy the horror that is NarutoxSasuke.”
-
While I’m more inclined to a Naru/Hina, I completely agree wit you on Naruto/Sasuke. That kind of relationship can only be created by fangirls (or some fanboys).
@Lieutenant
How are their reaction times and reaction speeds, so far?
Bullet-times?
Powers beyond what we already know?
Hinata should be on near-peak human to peak human level in physical capabilities, considering her training as a ninja.
@Lieutenant
You mean only Hinata’s reaction speeds and movement speeds are anything Superhuman, in themselves, it seems?
This kind of makes it easy for Nodoka to dodge bullets in relative comparison, right?
Maybe, I don’t read Naruto, so I can’t know for sure.
@Lieutenant
We need more ideas for preliminary skirmishes so we can brainstorm better, right?
With Krazy’s aid, we have single-handedly concocted this wonderous work of art.
@Lieutenant
You there?
“you realize that link you gave explicitly states Nodoka is not a combat mage and needs fighters to protect her usually yes? ”
And you didn’t pay attention to the stats.
You could be a non combat mage that can planet bust and still need protection you have no point.
I’m assuming the purple haired big eyed girl with supernatural powers is winning.
-
Anyone gonna post feats like ones that show laharl’s obd stuff?
Heh.

The pictures in the wiki pages will have to do.
Some of those are anime only…
- Cantus Bellax: From Latin to Japanese and then to English, “Cantus Bellax” may be transliterated as “Song of Battle”, and is a high-level spell typically cast by a mage immediately before entering physical battle. In addition to surrounding the mage’s body with a powerful barrier that protects from physical attack, the physical attributes of the caster are enhanced, while the body is magically spared damage from overexertion. Further, the spell also has the ability to increase reaction time by heightening the sensitivity of the nervous system.
- Lagena Signatoria: Spell that combines the use of a magical item to seal away and/or render powerless an opponent with spiritual or magical powers of an extremely high or puissant nature. In that a being with truly developed spiritual powers can continue to exist even after its corporeal form (caro) is destroyed the Ryômen Sukuna no Kami, for example, had its body shattered by extreme cold, and yet still needed to be sealed away (see 53rd Period for details) the “Lagena Signatoria”, while not ideal for all situations, may, for some opponents, be the only truly effective counter.
I only see hinata losing with just two moves that are for combat.
*shrugs*
-
Eh.
-
Just how much does the spell enhance a user’s physical abilities?
Hinata is probably on the level of a peak human in terms of speed and agility.
-
Like I said before, close combat against Hinata is dangerous, her style of fighting employs her superb chakra control to deliver a short but intense burst of chakra onto her opponent’s body, dealing internal damage and blocking chakra points that will make it harder for that opponent to move the target body part.
-
“with spiritual or magical powers of an extremely high or puissant nature”
I don’t think Hinata possesses enough magical/spiritual power for this spell to have any major effect.
I could be wrong though.
@Doc Lowk
You’re right, the purple-haired lady is wiping the other Purple-haired lady across the floor, allowing said Purple-haired lady to worry about the opposition’s medical insurance that must be dealt with.
Aren’t we good at this?
So will more people arrive in here, yet?
“Hinata is probably on the level of a peak human in terms of speed and agility.”
-
Not even by comic book standards is a chunin in Naruto only “peak human”….
@Shgon Dunstan
Two things must I ask:
1.) Is that Rand ‘blood’ al’Thor on your gravatar?
2.) You’re aware of both sides and their capabilities, despite being a possible ‘newblood’ to the site, right?
@Commander Cross
Yup.
I only recently found this place through a link in a thread over at SpaceBattles.
Any place with WoT Vs. is a place I want to get a closer look at.
By the way how do similes work here?
And I have read both of the mangas, and combat wise it hard to say how strong Nodoka is by graduation, much less the time line of the last chapter. Witch is imposable to say for certain.
Going with Nodoka as of graduation, what with her being mostly a noncombat, and Hinata being a chunin(though not much better on the whole “how strong is she” question) I’ve got to go with Hinata.
Though I would think that if she’s had a lot more combat training by the last chapter then it would probably take an S-class ninja to even give her much of a fight. Witch Hinata most definitely isn’t.
But like I said we can’t know how strong she is in that time line.
@Shgon Dunstan
So its becoming increasingly likelier that the Medical Bills to pay out would not be in the favor of Nodoka’s side, as opposed to Hinata’s, pretty much, right?
We need more people to discuss this match, I’m hoping it’s as lighthearted as possible since we need the lightheartedness as much as we need oxygen!
Besides, it helps me to get some testing grounds for trying to plan out Ginevra Molly(Ginny) Weasley/Potter vs Atoli of the dot.hack universe, but that’s another match to plan out for another time, entirely(and yes I am already aware of how the magic systems of both the Potter-world + the dot.hack universe would lose to Wheel of Time’s own Magic System in general even if Balefire’s not factored in, no need to point it out!)
Meantime, are you liking this match, so far?
Also its an honor to meet you, too, you’re one of the better-crafted members of SpaceBattles to join the site for sure.
They make up and make out. The end.
@Lightning
Is that before, or after the Doctor deals with the medical bills the guys who cares about the defeated would have to cover, though?
:sweat:
“Just how much does the spell enhance a user’s physical abilities?”
-
Negi did 3000 pushups with a 45 ton boulder on his back. Although Nodoka is not nearly on the same level as Negi is. But that gives you an idea of what magic boosts are capable of.
-
mangafox.me/manga/mahou_sensei_negima/v03/c020/16.html
Asuna the first time she is being boosted by the pact between her and Negi. It wasn’t even a true provisional contract either. Also, this was at the beginning of the series.
@Krazy
Not too shabby at all, 45 Tons may not be much compared to 300 tons in general weight, but if its possible for the enhancement spells Nodoka may have learned already to allow someone to do this much, then this match is more entertaining than the 1st glance would suggest, right?
@Commander Cross
Why thank you. So far I like this site.
-
Though I’ve never found SB to that bad, at least not anything like SD witch can get down right “welcoming” to different ideas and/or opinions.
-
but as for the match…..
-
I’m sorry to say it could do with some combatants with a few more feats to there name.
-
Though combat-wise they still have Ginny beat in that department.
-
I know nothing about dot.hack universe so I can’t say how this Atoli does.
@Shgon Dunstan
At least there ARE reasonable people somewhere in SpaceBattles, when Sturgeon’s law decides to spare the 10% and allow the remaining 2% from that to thrive their way around the site itself, right?
Sturgeon’s law Spares the 10% meant to survive, but only 2% of anything will earn the right to lead!(Or was it 2.5% of anything?)
Does that explain why this match is feeling too short, somehow? T_T
As I mentioned before, I’m hoping to pit her against Atoli of the dot.hack universe(G.U-era at that to be more precise, since we can’t fully and properly use Post-War!-Ginny to the proper extent we SHOULD be using her, which is almost as bad as the fact we can’t use Post-War Harry to the extent that’s necessary for future matches, either, the best we can do is to equip either of them to hold out long enough to find an enemy weakness and exploit it!)
Oh trust me, when you get to factpiletopia.com, you’ll be able to have the chance to learn more about Atoli, the Mirage of Deceit(who happens to be a Harvest Cleric*a variant of a White Mage or Healer*) I promise!
I am not sure if you studied the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, either, but in the meantime, if only more people aware of both sides were here, then the match wouldn’t be feeling so short its lucky to beat out Captain America vs Bane in terms of amount of content TO provide.(MAN that one was way too short for sure!)
@Lightning
Mind doing a drawing where Nodoka + Hinata make-out with each other, then?
@Commander Cross
I’ve only read the first two Dresden books so far, though I do like them.
-
As to WoT Vs. Dresden Files I had a thought while I was rereading Storm Front recently.
-
If wizards can draw power from strong emotions, lighting storms, and stuff. Then would they be able to draw power from a chaneler holding the Power? Just holding the Power is a high. The more Power the bigger the high, and even normally it’s said to be like being flooded with life its self.
-
That sure sounds like the kind of strong emotions that can power there magic.
-
And all that’s ignoring that the power that “turns the Wheel of Time” is being funneled through a body not to far from them…
-
Though trying that could just as likely end with a pile of ash wearing a leather duster as anything else.:)
@Shgon Dunstan
factpiletopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=33326
factpiletopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=33254
These are the matches I meant to mention, and I am glad you are enjoying the Dresden Files, so far!
As for that part, this is one I really don’t know, all I do know for sure is that if something is being sent against anything from WoT, I’d wish them the best of odds if its direct combat, to be honest, even if Balefire’s not factored in there.
In theory, it might be possible for a Potter-world ‘Mauve Shirt’ Auror to take out a Myrrdraal if they manage to get spells like Sectumsempra or A.K to hit them to begin with, its trying to make sure they don’t get taken out in kind via Myrrdraal MAD tactics that would make things more intriguing.
But alas in practice, we lack the field-testing required to see if the above may actually happen mono-a-mono, and the only way to fix that is to talk with Brandon Sanderson to speak with Old-Owl Rowling about it as soon as possible, and I don’t even have the guts to talk to him about it, or I’d ask him to see if he can assist with exploring the pasts of the 4 founders of Hogwarts, by now. T_T’
Also, if you checked one of the two above-listed links, we’re planning out a major universe fight for the Dresden Files as we speak, and it’ll be fighting alongside the Codex Alera forces against the Potter-world, Camp Half-Blood and the dot.hack universe(the latter of the 3 is where Atoli is from, by the way!) keep in mind that if the 3 above have the potential to Power-Blitz the Shonen Trinity if they can remember to fight smart, and the Butcher side has the potential to floor the latter 3…you can tell that such a universe fight has the potential to be massive all on its own, right?
You must also keep in mind that, although in general its relatively justified, the White Council from the Dresdenverse generally frowns upon killing Mere Mortal Humans with Magic unless its meant to be in self-defense, so if any of the Mauve Shirt White Council Wardens have to fight an Asha’man from the WoT universe(the likes of which would be the WoT equivalents of 40K Space Marines in general!) then its not ideal for them to use Wizard Sight even if Balefire’s not factored in.
All I know for the 3 vs 2 fight is this, while the Potter-world vs the dot.hack universe has potential to be epic, it would take a while before we find a means of set-up that would work to not permit either side to stomp the other(unless we’re talking a Pendolum War or two) and what’s more, is that we gotta clarify that 1st Death Wins in such a universe fight, to begin with!
@Dunstan
Are you in there, still?
@Commander Cross
I’m still here, but I haven’t looked that close at those matches yet.
-
But as for a White Council Warden Vs. Asha’man fight. Considering that Asha’man or usually the “make you explode first, and forget to ask questions” type, it doesn’t really sound vary fair to have the Warden bond by the White Council’s laws in the Vs.
-
The White Council can always just cut there head off, if by some miracle they manage to survive…
@Shgon Dunstan
Actually as a matter of fact, Admiral GuardianAngel1911 and I agreed that its best to send out the Mauve Shirt Squads for the Auror Department(Mixed Nationalities and customized) up against the Mauve Shirt White Council Wardens, in fact.
Meantime, did you study Camp Half-Blood by Rick Riordan, by any chance?
Also, you eager to draw Nodoka vs Hinata, for that matter?
@Commander Cross
Sadly drawing is not one of my talents, and I haven’t finished much more then half of The Lighting Thief(though that’s easy to fix), much less the rest of the series.
-
And I’m sorry but I don’t fallow, what does “Mauve Shirt” mean? Or were you saying it meant “Mixed Nationalities and customized”?
And seriously how do similes work here?
-
I somehow feel faceless without them…….
