    Is Revan the guy that absorbs force-powers or energy?

  2. Hermit December 19, 2011 at 7:47 am -      #2

    @ Mistel Teal
    I thought that was Nihilus?

  3. Mister Teal December 19, 2011 at 7:55 am -      #3

    Oh right, that’s it. Well I know the meat and potatoes of Starkiller’s repertoire just from seeing some of his matches on site, so I’ll wait for what Revan can do. I can’t find a power listing for him on any wiki though, and a couple of info dumps I went to say he’s at a disadvantage against other siths due to lack of feats. I didn’t play KOTOR though so I got nothing yet.

  4. Hermit December 19, 2011 at 8:01 am -      #4

    Dang it Teal, you’re fast.

  5. Meshaber December 19, 2011 at 8:05 am -      #5

    @Hermit: Not just Nihilus, it’s the exile too.

    Anyway, Revans power lies mostly in being a strategic genius, and Starkiller seems really over the top so my initial and reluctant vote goes for starkiller.

  6. SgCombine December 19, 2011 at 8:54 am -      #6

    But, Starkiller and Darth Vader lost to Revan and his apprentice in an earlier debate…

  7. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 9:37 am -      #7

    @Combine

    Which would also show that there are some kinds of opponents even Zero of the MegaMan universe can’t expect to fight and beat, outright, really.
    Still, at least this fight is better than the one from Saturday(bad way to end a week, really!) right?

  8. Broadwine December 19, 2011 at 9:50 am -      #8

    Knights of the Old Republic series has force powers (Like force heal or force kill) that Starkiller can’t compete with, even though he basically has overpowered versions of everything you see in the movies. Im giving this to Revan as far as force powers are concerned, but lightsaber battle might be a diffrent story

  9. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 9:54 am -      #9

    Here’s hoping its not an outright stomp!-fest with the match, or if it is, the next on my personal strangle!-list, alright everyone?
    Methinks Starkiller vs Zero may be better, overall, but let’s see if the match can be workable in here, alright?

  10. bardian-Spam_bot's_bane! December 19, 2011 at 9:55 am -      #10

    KOTOR also has common telekinetics that rival those of yoda’s

  11. bardian-Spam_bot's_bane! December 19, 2011 at 9:56 am -      #11

    Starkiller wins a lightsabre battle (imo), but all out I think revan could rotflolstomp him.

  12. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 9:59 am -      #12

    @Sarge Major
    How do we make the match workable to the point it can bleed badassery enough to contentify us for the day?

  13. lancer_AR December 19, 2011 at 12:35 pm -      #13

    holy effing shit! 3 suggestions on the front page (still?) I’m sorry I ever doubted you admin
    -
    I was under the impression that starkiller’s force powers are almost on par with palpatine’s

  14. bardian-Spam_bot's_bane! December 19, 2011 at 12:57 pm -      #14

    I don’t know much about starkiller, but the KOTOR game had a lot of force related bullshit in it that overpowered a lot of characters.

  15. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 2:02 pm -      #15

    Starkiller is close to power with Palpatine and regarded as one of the strongest force users of his time much like Darth Revan was in his time.
    Both competitors are skilled duelists with lightsabers however Revan used his agility, acrobatic skills, and advanced precognition to his advantage. Meanwhile Starkiller was trained by Vader to develop his own skills and tactics and faced off against training programs of some of the most skilled Jedi and Sith through his training Droid Proxy. Starkiller utilized the Juyo, Shien and Soresu forms of Saber combat using Soresu mainly when on the defensive. He also used a variant of Sith Shien using quick powerful strikes.

    when it comes down to actual force powers Revan used both the light and dark side proving to be a master of the Unifying Force, if you would like I could look up and copy and paste a more extensive coverage of his force abilities. Starkiller on the other hand was a master of force telekinesis and lightning as well as general combat force powers, again if its requested I can copy and paste something with more detail if I can find it.

  16. Gluttonous-Behemoth December 19, 2011 at 2:13 pm -      #16

    So Galen can lift and crush damaged AT-ST’s, match bloody Palpatine in force prowess, take on several Jedi Masters (Shaak Ti and Paraxis for example), took out a couple metric fucktons of mook enemies, and forced a Star Destroyer to crash to the ground with his force grip.
    -
    What do we have for Revan?

  17. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 2:43 pm -      #17

    Revan has hurled heavy objects such as missles at people before, and created force whirlwinds as well as heal his body and is proficient at messing with peoples minds

  18. jhud December 19, 2011 at 2:54 pm -      #18

    Starkiller FTW due to lack of feats for revan

  19. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 3:01 pm -      #19

    oh for the love of, okay I know I’m probably going to have someone complain but this is the only sample of information I can find so far
    starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Revan
    I know its a wiki but its cited and its at least a starting point for what he can do. So those of you that don’t like wiki’s don’t have to read it this is just to try and get info out there.

  20. Eric Gigliotti December 19, 2011 at 3:04 pm -      #20

    During the Mandalorian Wars, Regan pulled a Mandalorian cruiser from orbit. He mastered both the Light Side, and the Dark Side. He knew how to cloud and slow the mind, absorb Force energy from his opponents, absorb the life out of his opponents, and cast Force Storm – the most powerful form of Lightning. Marek only unleashed Force Storm once, on the Sarlaac the first time on Felucia.
    .
    This match was a joke. We’ve already determined that either Revan or Malak, Revan’s apprentice, could solo Vader and Marek together.

  21. Mister Teal December 19, 2011 at 3:07 pm -      #21

    alzheimer’s will do that do a guy

  22. Broadwine December 19, 2011 at 3:08 pm -      #22

    Revan doesnt have feats as far as you ignorant fools know… he and Malak nearly destroyed all the Manolorians (an entire race of Boba Fetts incase anyone was wondering). He wasa war hero, and possibly the most powerful Dark Lord of the Sith to ever live.

  23. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 3:11 pm -      #23

    So basically this match is a stomp? or will Marek hold his own?

  24. Mister Teal December 19, 2011 at 3:12 pm -      #24

    edit to my previous post: **to** a guy.

    Also, just for general curiosity — does Revan have any “special” force abilities like that Nihilus guy does the force-drain routine?

  25. Aelfinn December 19, 2011 at 3:29 pm -      #25

    “This match was a joke. We’ve already determined that either Revan or Malak, Revan’s apprentice, could solo Vader and Marek together.”
    -
    That shouldn’t determine how we go about this fight. At the very least, reiterate why they would.

  26. Dr. Lowk McNinja December 19, 2011 at 4:02 pm -      #26

    “During the Mandalorian Wars, Regan pulled a Mandalorian cruiser from orbit.”
    -
    Was going to say SK might have had him in range but NOPE.

  27. sgtNACHO December 19, 2011 at 4:24 pm -      #27

    Revan, at least, has the powers in the game.
    -
    aka. Force Storm (extremely powerful force lightning)
    -
    Drain Life (drains your lifeforce and empowers his own)
    -
    In KotOR II you can get Battle meditation, so i imagine he could have it in some form.
    -
    Drain Force (same as drain life but for force powers)
    -
    Force throat spasm death grip, Force Slam, Insanity, Stasis, Force Scream, force heal, master valor, etc.
    -
    He could boost himself to god like levels of amazing, reflect blaster bolts without doing a thing, run extremely fast, and unleash every conceivable sith force power ever used. He could simply drain his life away if he wanted.

  28. bardian-Spam_bot's_bane! December 19, 2011 at 4:38 pm -      #28

    Force kill. don’t forget force kill.

  29. Mister Teal December 19, 2011 at 4:41 pm -      #29

    He’ll probably get more stuff from TOR too.

  30. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 5:10 pm -      #30

    If Revan’s gonna be in TOR apart from the novel dedicated to him, that is.

  31. sgtNACHO December 19, 2011 at 5:19 pm -      #31

    I believe they said his tomb was a raid environment or something. I just recall HK-47 standing there ready to kill some meatbags, and i was never more proud than that moment of my little killer friend.
    -
    Also, I think an interesting expansion would be adding playable droid characters to the non force using classes. It would be so awesome to make a Sith Assassin droid, or a Trooper Droid or something. Game isn’t even out yet and I’m thinking of expansions :P

  32. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 5:24 pm -      #32

    @Sarge Nacho

    As they say, never too late to go big, right? :cool:

  33. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 5:40 pm -      #33

    I want to say Darth Revan because of my bias toward Knights of the Old Republic over The Force Unleashed
    -
    So i’ll concur with Eric. Revan ftw!
    -
    Plus why are we doing this if Starkiller took on Malak…. and lost?

  34. pimpscastle December 19, 2011 at 5:52 pm -      #34

    3 words star forge bitches

  35. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 5:54 pm -      #35

    “3 words star forge bitches”
    -
    No outside help
    -
    But yeah, Revan wins this quite handily tho

  36. pimpscastle December 19, 2011 at 6:54 pm -      #36

    revan>the emperor the emperor killed starkiller conect the dots

  37. Soulerous December 19, 2011 at 7:06 pm -      #37

    I say Revan smashes Galen Marek.

  38. lancer_AR December 19, 2011 at 7:39 pm -      #38

    wasn’t that star destroyer SK pulled to the ground in orbit or was it just in very upper atmosphere

  39. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 8:06 pm -      #39

    I have to say Revan takes this.

    as for the Star Destroyer SK pulled, it had fallen from orbit and was in atmosphere if I recall correctly.

  40. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 9:07 pm -      #40

    Well that was decided quickly. Moving along gentlemen

  41. Eric Gigliotti December 19, 2011 at 9:26 pm -      #41

    “That shouldn’t determine how we go about this fight. At the very least, reiterate why they would.”
    .
    Did in the very same post. And if either Revan or Malak can solo Marek and Vader together, I’d say this need not be debated.
    .
    “alzheimer’s will do that do a guy”
    .
    Ha! Damn autocorrect.

  42. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 9:27 pm -      #42

    @Eric
    Yeah this was obvious. I mean why would this be posted if Starkiller took on Malak…. and lost?

  43. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 10:08 pm -      #43

    @StealthRanger

    Maybe for a sign that TFU3 will be released when ready, actually?

  44. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 10:10 pm -      #44

    @CC
    *shrug* If it’ll change anything here when it is released
    -
    For now Revan ftw

  45. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 10:14 pm -      #45

    @StealthRanger

    Pretty much that.
    Well compared to Saturday’s $hitstorm #3 on the list of the fail-fests i found, that wasn’t too shabby, right?

  46. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 10:19 pm -      #46

    @CC
    Meh, at least Starkiller had a shot (a small one, but one none-the-less)
    -
    Yeah at least its truly dead now as CIDE briefly resurrected the thread, and like everyone else said… Aircraft Carrier wins. The End

  47. Eric Gigliotti December 19, 2011 at 10:19 pm -      #47

    “Well compared to Saturday’s $hitstorm #3 on the list of the fail-fests i found, that wasn’t too shabby, right?”
    .
    Just as bad. Revan cripples Marek’s though processes with Fear and Slow (Marek’s already emotionally unstable) just before he unleashes one of a variety of powers that will one-hit-KO Marek.

  48. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 10:21 pm -      #48

    *looks at Eric’s post*
    -
    Well so much for that shot at victory. Bad match is bad

  49. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 10:28 pm -      #49

    @C.C
    Last I heard the dev team was told that the third game is not to be made, and then were fired. Force Unleashed 3 won’t be coming out anytime soon

  50. pimpscastle December 19, 2011 at 10:31 pm -      #50

    yay i hope the make battlefront 3 intead

  51. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 10:36 pm -      #51

    @Admiral

    I was kind of hoping they’d make either, really, if not both.
    The storyline needs an actual resolution, at least, plus a chance to play against the Dark Apprentice would have been nice! T_T

    @Eric

    Just as bad?Maybe.
    Anywhere near as Stupid?
    Absolutely not, its less painful, but it still hurts!

    @Admiral

    Where do you think we can find more suitable Role-Players to join our group back on Gaia online?

  52. GuardianAngel1911 December 19, 2011 at 10:43 pm -      #52

    @pimpscastle
    I would rather have both but Battlefront 3 would be nice if nothing else.

    @C.C
    I agree on wishing they’d make both,
    as for the Gaia part I haven’t the faintest idea where to start the search

  53. pimpscastle December 19, 2011 at 10:47 pm -      #53

    luke skywalker vs harry potter

  54. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 10:48 pm -      #54

    @Admiral

    I might hazard a few guesses as to where in gaia online to look, we’re gonna need more members to begin with, so why not look up Hip-hop09?
    As for if they go with TFU 3, it should have the Dark Apprentice as the Final Boss with the same kind of atmospheric feel as Zero vs Omega Zero, really.(Thank you, MegaMan Zero!)

  55. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 10:49 pm -      #55

    “luke skywalker vs harry potter”
    -
    Luke Skywalker without question

  56. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 10:53 pm -      #56

    @Pimpscastle

    Until Mr. Potter gets Auror-Training like he SHOULD BE HAVING, BY NOW(or at least Haseo from the world of .hack gets his chance to fight Mr. Potter in a well-done match-up!) ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! :evil:
    Starkiller vs Zero from the MegaMan universe, however, in a sword-fight, is more doable.

  57. Xeno Dimentio December 19, 2011 at 11:24 pm -      #57

    lol Pimpscastle im glad to see you making regular rounds here. And be careful about Harry, CCross is a little…. fanatical. ;)
    -
    It seems everyones fears of Murder were unfounded.
    -
    As for this match, Revan dfinitely.

  58. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 11:28 pm -      #58

    @Captain

    Try not to mention that, its bad enough my user!-namesake already is a medical druggie trying REAL HARD not to go on a warpath, no matter what his cousins in those of Peverell Blood(barring Voldemort for too many obvious reasons!) would try to tell him, otherwise.
    Although…Haseo from the world of .hack would actually make a rather fine opponent to consider, if the right stipulations(such as Mr. Potter equipping Goblin-Forged Magic-Enhanced Armor) were met and the right stipulations are placed.

    Let’s not jynx it just in case, Captain.

    The match-up should have been closer, at least, why didn’t Lancer consider either Darth Sion or Zero to pit Galen Marek against, exactly?

  59. Xeno Dimentio December 19, 2011 at 11:40 pm -      #59

    Im starting to think you and your usernamesake are one and te same….

  60. pimpscastle December 19, 2011 at 11:42 pm -      #60

    xeno dimentio you should come over some time ( im not a stalker i know him irl)

  61. lancer_AR December 19, 2011 at 11:43 pm -      #61

    @cross
    -
    sad to say but darth revan was the first one to mind and since I only read up on some of his badassery (not actually knowing how god mode he really is) I thought marek and revan would be close…I also didn’t see the vader and marek vs. revan and malak thread

  62. Xeno Dimentio December 19, 2011 at 11:46 pm -      #62

    @Pimpscastle
    Probably should. I could set you up with Topia…. Actually, just follow these instructions:
    1. Go to Factpiletopia
    2. Register
    3. Go to Introduce yourself, a thread under utopic members.
    4. Introduce yourself.
    5. I will PM you and Matapiojo to make you a Factpiler group member.
    -
    Follow these instrctions carefully, pimpscastle.

  63. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 11:47 pm -      #63

    @Captain

    Actually you’d be wrong about that, or at least that’s not the entire case.
    Its kind of like with how Game!-Midori(someone who’s actually a sentient AI and also fought Haseo at least once!) from the World of .Hack is connected with Midori Shinomura, but they aren’t the exact same people.(Thank you, .Hack//Cell, for showing us more info about the World of .hack, itself!)
    I can’t say more without spoiling the rest of the 1st novel of .hack//Cell, though, so make of it what you must.

    P.S: I’d know of a case where it might be closer, but i am not saying any examples.

  64. Xeno Dimentio December 19, 2011 at 11:52 pm -      #64

    @Cross
    Im confused

  65. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 11:53 pm -      #65

    @Lancer

    At least i’m 100% convinced you tried, but try harder with against Darth Sion, next time, alright?

  66. StealthRanger December 19, 2011 at 11:54 pm -      #66

    @lancer_AR
    Did you read the Starkiller vs Malak thread?

  67. Commander Cross December 19, 2011 at 11:59 pm -      #67

    @Captain

    Hopefully you’ll get the hang of it, one of these days.
    Still doesn’t change my mind on Haseo from the .hack universe needing a vs fight, though.

  68. Xeno Dimentio December 20, 2011 at 12:07 am -      #68

    @Cross
    Perhaps you should PM me about it.

  70. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 12:12 am -      #70

    @Captain

    Perhaps, but not today.
    Meantime, search out Percy Jackson vs Windwaker/Phantom Hourglass!-Link as a match i plan to suggest when a scenario can be written out based on the stipulations i listed.

  71. Xeno Dimentio December 20, 2011 at 12:14 am -      #71

    @Pimpscastle i dont see you on topia….

  72. PJ December 20, 2011 at 12:15 am -      #72

    In Revan’s time he was the most powerful of the force users and his ability also was in getting people to join his side. He wouldn’t necessarily even need to beat starkiller in a fight because he could convince him to join his side. But even if that did not occur the number of abilities revan possesses far out numbers the ones starkiller has. Although starkiller can divert a ship. Starkiller can crush a person’s life force in his hand as well as take out an entire sith fleet.

  73. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 12:20 am -      #73

    @PJ

    Good point, if Revan sees potential uses for Starkiller, he may or may not wind up recruiting him after wounding him enough.

  74. pimpscastle December 20, 2011 at 12:33 am -      #74

    now im sighned up i think

  75. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 12:37 am -      #75

  76. pimpscastle December 20, 2011 at 12:47 am -      #76

    ok now i am 100 % sighned up i think

  78. lancer_AR December 20, 2011 at 2:29 am -      #78

    I actually thought scion nhilus ect. were in revan’s catagory and revan was more along the lines of palpatine since scion has managed to keep himself alive dispite his damage

  79. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 9:08 am -      #79

    @Lancer

    Sideous is outdone by Revan in terms of overall power-levels, as Sideous isn’t even THE MOST POWERFUL Sith Lord in existence(Yet i am pretty sure that someone like Voldemort/Tom Riddle can actually go head-to-head against him and the results will be nothing short of worthwhile evil vs evil!) Nihilus is the most Powerful Sith Lord in Existence and Revan’s caught between the two, so to speak.

  80. Mister Teal December 20, 2011 at 9:16 am -      #80

    Unless I’m overlooking some feats from the guy, Voldemort gets his head put up his own ass by Sidious. I will add the disclaimer that I’m not a huge SW fan though, so I could be thinking of a different sith.

  81. Eric Gigliotti December 20, 2011 at 10:37 am -      #81

    Sidious’ beat weapon is his mind fuckery. He controlled a large portion of the galaxy’s inhabitants with the Force. He implemented Battle Meditation to aid his forces from thousands of lightyears away. He also landed an SSD onto Coruscant’s surface and building the city over it while completely blocking the event from any onlookers.

  82. xZrP December 20, 2011 at 12:35 pm -      #82

    @CC I am quite sure Nihilus is not the most powerful sith lord in existence, someone like Kreia can take him out. (Not implying that he’s weak or anything.) But I can think of a few Ancient sith that would make Nihilus piss his pants.

  83. Eric Gigliotti December 20, 2011 at 5:20 pm -      #83

    Lol… Nihillus would wreck anybody who goes up with him. He devoured all life on a planet, instantly. Lolz to the person who thinks someone other than Visas Marr could defeat him.

  84. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 5:29 pm -      #84

    @Teal

    BIG overlook, there, then.
    Saving the explaination for when the Admiral gets the fight posted, not in the emotional state to elaborate.

    @Eric

    You’d need Lucy from Elfen Lied to fight him, even then i smell a quick-draw session.

  85. GuardianAngel1911 December 20, 2011 at 6:25 pm -      #85

    @C.C
    I’m hoping Admin posts it soon, and for those thinking its a stomp there’s plenty of obstacles in the ways of all involved, and it aint just Palpatine and Voldemort involved

  86. Commander Cross December 20, 2011 at 6:29 pm -      #86

    @Admiral

    Don’t forget, we might consider either adding Stuart Snyder to that list or save him for the next round with other Dark Lords, as well, right?
    Plus, it will have a lot less of a desperation feel than this match seems to be having.

    we might have to. I also plan on having a secondary version of the match featuring the dragon’s of said Dark Lords (not Shurikan in Galbatorix’s case, it will be Murtagh) in a battle. If the Dark Lord match is posted and successful that is

    @Admiral

    Which of Voldemort’s Dragons should be acceptable to add to the fighting, to be sure?
    You and i both know he has a whole plethora of them, actually.
    Also, you know anyone on Gaia online to invite to the Armada, to be sure?(we gotta set up the fleet after the operations begin, one of these days!)

    lucy needs a good mach of factpile do you know any one that would be a good mach for her?

    @Fallstar Thief

    Well other than Nihilus(quick-draw results will ensure!) all i got so far(direct combat-wise, at least) would be someone like Marceline from Adventure Time, actually.
    Now how to get Kite from the world of .hack into a good vs match, for that matter.
    Also methinks Thalia of Camp Half-Blood could use another good match, because i feel that Thalia vs Ramona Flowers was missing something(apart from more people, obviously!) really.

    @Lancer

    Also, General Blood-Dancer admits that Galen has a legitimate shot in Tartarus against Darth Sion, mono-a-mono, and i also have reason to suggest Starkiller vs Zero(from the MegaMan universe) if TheObserver can greenlight the match to assist me, really.

    im not sure lucy could take nihilus(if hes as strong as it was implied a few posts earlier), while by the end of the manga(havnt watched the anime) it was stated lucy could destroy mankind, holding that much power was causing her body to rapidly detiriorate, so even if she maneged to beat nihilus shed be most likely have destroyed her body due to using too much energy

    Although i bet Ai Shiomi from psychic academy would have no prpblems with nihilus, ai’s powers include bathing his oponents in light and reversing thier age to a point where thier powers hand not yet been developed and then locking them in that state,

    Ai Shomi sounds like one of those channelers from Wheel of Time, in a way, right?

    In any case, what about Lucy vs Marceline if the right stipulations are planned out?

    Depends who is marceline, and whats she from.

    as for being similar to channerlers, id agree in some aspects ,they both have the ability to create sheilds, teleport, and the top members of each rand and ai are extremly powerful ( and mentaly unstable).
    psychics are generaly more limited than chanelers as most of thier abilities are limited to thier aura type.

    Marceline is that Vamp lady from Adventure Time, and her power levels potential are on par with that of Pre-God/Pre-Omega Spawn(as Al Simmons) actually.

    Tell me more about Psychic Academy if you may, please?

    @ cc
    ill look her up in a bit
    As for psychic academy its a manga from the late 90′s roughly 40 chaps long.
    Around 10-20 years b4 the story starts humans certan humans began to develop psychic powers. shortly after a school was established to help people with powers controll them, sorta like a mix between x-men and harry potter
    powers are seperated by aura typs, the basics include fire water/ healing earth and air, but more extreme types exist such as ice and magma. there are two lost types that far exede the rest darkness/ gravety and light/time.
    most of the story is dedicated to Ai discovering his power and getting closer to two of the schools female students, a child hood friend and a girl who shares a sort of mental link with him.
    I liked it and thought it was definitly worth reading

    That’s why i said POTENTIALLY speaking, not necessarily certainly, big difference there.

    @Fallstar Thief

    Got any good links to the 1st volume’s worth of chapters?
    Also i thought .hack was supposed to be the series that has common grounds with the Potter-world(barring Zero no…i can’t recall the last part of its name!) what with the magic systems and the values of self-sacrifice both have to offer and all that jazz, really.

    i should also add that unlike other manga similar to it, it dose have a plot and story and isnt just a load of fanservice
