How long do they survive?
If they can last for a day or two they will receive rescue.

    They all survive without Jet Li who got out on a technicality of being short…

    The black dude with the ridiculous head exploding automatic shotgun solos.

  3. Jwlynas September 5, 2011 at 8:54 am -      #3

    Wait. Is it just the Expendables, or do the other named guys get to come along too? Not that it matters, long as Hale Ceasar gets ammo he’ll solo the whole damn island. AA12′s with explosive rounds tend to do that.

  4. Skalkorik13 September 5, 2011 at 9:14 am -      #4

    A day or 2 is pretty vague … What is their ammo supply like ? Or are we talking movie style unlimited ammo ?

  5. jwesleya September 5, 2011 at 10:03 am -      #5

    If 4 rookies armed with sub par weaponry can do it (l4d), then I have no doubt that well trained, heavily armed mercs can do it. Pointless match.

    This will B fun with bunker destroying frag 12 and many other weps being used by all the others the zomBs dont stand a chance.

    Lancer’s gonna be pissed.

    @ Jwesleya

    The L4D survivors only had to hold out for like 10 minutes for transport to arrive. Which is why I made the wait time MUCH longer for the Expendables.

    alright! another zombie gauntlet, it has been a while.
    @sauroposieden
    what type of numbers are we talking about? and ammo? also to make it more challenging, what do you think of adding deadites to the mix?

  9. Sauroposeidon September 5, 2011 at 1:38 pm -      #9

    Deadites, being virtually impossible to kill, I’m ruling out.

    Also, my posts will be brief. Today’s “Clean shit up day” apparently.

    So quickly, participating characters will be from the mercenary group named the Expendables themselves, not the entire move cast.

    Barney Ross: Leader
    Yin Yang: Martial Arts
    Lee Christmas: Blades
    Gunner Jensen: Sniper
    Toll Road: Demolitionist
    Hale Ceaser: Heavy Weapons

    I think I got them all. Yes, Hale gets his AA-12, and however much ammo it carries.

    To set the scene briefly, this was supposed to be a simple in and out mission to take out a key individual in a human trafficing cartel. This guy runs an enormous drug operation which they use to hook kidnapped girls on to in order to make them junkies. Odd? Watch Taken sometime. Scary concept. So they show up to bring down this guy and his whole operation to effectively bring a halt to the process of turning girls in to drug slaves. Problem is, not long after they arrive, the whole zombie dealio goes off. Attempts to return to their ari craft are cut short when a Spitter nails the engine, rendering the vehicle incapable of flight and at risk of exploding hollywood style if they try to take it out to sea. The US Government is supposed to send in forces two days from time of arrival to set about securing anything that might have important intel, burn away the drugs, ect. Why two days? Because I said so. The Expendables’ only hope is to hold out until the US Forces arrive and to try and get off the island with out allowing the Zombie Plague to spread.

    Zombie Plague is spread by biting only, and is caused by a new kind of “super drug” the criminals were working on that was supposed to be faster acting than anything else, with more mentally disabling effects and much faster addiction. Obviously something went wrong there.

    Oh and ammo and supplies? As much ammo and gear as they thought they’d need for the mission. Supplies as well, plus whatever they can find on the island, including other weapons and ammo. So the super shotgun is not the end all be all weapon of saviorness that they can just have Hale spam the whole time.

    Stone Cold solos!

  13. Sauroposeidon September 5, 2011 at 2:34 pm -      #13

    @ Epic

    Paine is a burnt up dead crisp currently.. and was their enemy.. so he is not currently present. Was awesome watching such a well known pro wrestler do a fight scene with an actual MMA fighter, though. Hopefully the CGI fire is a little better in the next movie.

  14. Jwlynas September 5, 2011 at 3:40 pm -      #14

    Rumour is he lived and will be in the next movie, though that is just rumour atm.

    That he’s their enemy is a fairly good point, but not unpassable (Its a zombie invasion. Teaming up to survive would not be out of the question)

  15. AkumaTh September 5, 2011 at 10:38 pm -      #15

    I think they could do it. They have the experience of doing stuff like this for a wide amount of time. And I’m sure they can find more weapons since the guy was a drug trafficer. Add the fact the L4D Zombies won’t spread thanks to it not being airborne and I think they could do it.

  16. Rorschach September 5, 2011 at 10:57 pm -      #16

    Couldn’t they just kill all of the zombies, and destroy the “super drug”? That way when the government comes, they could just take the Expendables home.

  17. Sauroposeidon September 5, 2011 at 11:50 pm -      #17

    That’s the idea of what they should do, Rorschach. I personally think they can pull it off, even with a 48 hour wait til and some of the BS that L4D specials can pull, especially when working in groups. Once they realize head shots are all that matters and that it works instantly I’m sure they’ll stick to it.

    I’m just curious to see what others think, as I may be vastly over estimating their abilities. I also think it’ll be very tough for them. I’ve intentionally given them such a long period of time to give them a real challenge, as such a village would offer little in the way of shelter that isn’t easily smashed through by a charger or tank or just a bunch of common zombies. The zombies, total, probably measure in the low thousands, 3-10,000 tops. So its not a big place, packed with around as many people are in a single suburban school district.

  18. Tarbel September 6, 2011 at 11:59 am -      #18

    I think it will become a horror movie. I mean how much ammo do they have tops? 3000? With half of it wasted before realizing that headshots count? While all that heavy weaponry they were counting on begins to run out of bullets and draw more zombies towards them?
    They’ll eventually run out of food and water which will fatigue them even more while the only thing they can do is run around in circles hopefully avoiding running into any LFD specials on the way.
    At most, one or two people survive for the pickup with an infected scratch effectively bringing the infection into a more populated area.
    It would be cool movie to watch though o.o

  19. BigCola September 7, 2011 at 12:21 am -      #19

    @Tarbel
    They are very well trained mercs and I’m sure they’v seen a few hollywood flicks, they’d go for as many head shots as possible and the heavy weapons guy will just slow the dead down and might kill a few, and with a bunch of exploding rounds from an AA-12 it’s the same as a hand Grenade there sniper is going for head shots any way and the rest of em will figure it out after a few mags later.

  20. ss September 7, 2011 at 1:03 am -      #20

    L4D and many types of  runner zombies (including rage i believe) dont require a head shot to put down guys. as for what i said about deadites, they can be blown apart rather easily just a thought i had.

  21. Sauroposeidon September 7, 2011 at 2:24 pm -      #21

    Don’t they require head shots in realism mode?

    It doesn’t matter, only the specials are L4D zombies, the other types are typical shambler/ragers that need head shots.

  22. NEGATIVE-ZERO September 7, 2011 at 11:47 pm -      #22

    They have Stallone and Terry Crews, they win.

  23. Belisaurius September 8, 2011 at 12:55 am -      #23

    I imagine team Expendable would win, but I can’t see them having ammo left at the end of it. Infact, I can see Stalone pistol whipping zombies to death by the end of this. You might loose some team members due to shear bad luck, but thats about it.

  24. Paladino September 9, 2011 at 9:06 am -      #24

    Stallone=Rambo=Awesome
    Terry=Hale Caesar=Moar Dakka
    win

    I should have Stallone listed as the Hero

    Gunnar wold crush the zombie INSECTS!

  28. frothbyte December 12, 2011 at 7:02 pm -      #28

    Nah, it won’t be as easy as people think. 2 days (as in 48 hrs) is a pretty long time to keep on fighting. Considering that there are enough zombies to keep harassing them all through out th 48 hrs, heck they’d be dead tired after half a day.
    -
    They are still human after all, and they need to eat and rest… which they won’t be able to do if they’re on the run. Some of the zombies need headshots to kill and a lot of the more powerful weapons the mercs carry are not easily aimable to make headshots.
    -
    I’d say max of 3 of them make it out alive, probably only 1, might be none. Ofcourse in a movie situation, someone would really survive but in real life considering the merc’s skills are as good in real life as they are in the movies, they are still pretty f*cked up unless they find a hole somewhere and just bunker up till help arrives.
