Battlefield 3 – Caspian Border Gameplay Video

Battlefield 3 - Caspian Border Gameplay Video

I know it’s been a while since I’ve listed a video like this, but just watching this makes me think that we have a serious contender for Video Game of the Year – perhaps only Skyrim will challenge for that honor.

Let me just put this out there now – Come October 25th, I will be online in this massive 64-player vehicle warfare – including jets. This is why I don’t play Call of Duty, people.

Battlefield going back to it’s roots can only be good.I remember playing the shit out of BF1942 when it came out and much fun was had.
Though I am personally a bit hesitant to call this GOTY, I mean sure it is good and will have tons of action but it’s another shooter in the end.Skyrim will nice will be the same as always but more fancy and some new content to keep you busy but hey, don’t fix what ain’t broken.

So far my what has caught my ears the most is this Guildwars2.Friends who are at Gamescon at this moment say they actully managed to create a MMO world that is actully alive and where the landscape and envoirement constantly change because of war and other events.I really would like a MMo world that actully changes as I am really tired of the typical MMO concept we have right now.

Planetside was still better in its hayday than this.

I swear to god stop ripping Call of Duty every time you praise Battlefield (this goes to everyone in existence). They are DIFFERENT games with DIFFERENT demographics. Call of Duty is fast-paced arcade style action on small maps with small teams or no teams. Battlefield is large ass maps, vehicles, and that team work thingymajigg.

    @Greed

Thats a good part of why I only play PS3, higher average age. Also I really hate it when I hear kids that don’t know how to be funny when they rage. Seriously, you’re only going to rape the human parts of his family? You’re 80% more likely to evoke a response if you include the dog, kid… duh!(ZomB and his subsidiaries in no way condone sexual acts towards any animal) Honestly, CoD is like Mos Eisley Spaceport “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy”

Lucky bastards.. when it came down to it the PS3 was like 600 bucks and the 360 was like 300. Wasn’t a hard choice on that front. Sometimes I regret it.. but I began running with a crew of backwater bastards that I wouldn’t give up now.. so.. Maybe the 360 was worth enduring. Maybe.

Ya hear that, Lancer? I almost complimented you. =P

For some reason through all the explosions, jets, tanks, and aerial dog fights my favorite part was 1:35.

I still think the Game of the Year will either be Uncharted 3, the new Batman game, or Cooking Mama… I mean Skyrim.

Uh what happened to my sentence?

“I still think the Game of the Year will either be Uncharted 3, the new Batman game, or Cooking Mama… I mean Skyrim.”

I share these sentiments though I am leaning towards Batman.

I will be pulling for Nathan Drake, but I think they will all be great games, Sucks I am stuck with a Wii.

*ahem* If Bandai and From Software don’t screw it up, Armored Core V is looking to be the best tactical game of the year, at the very least. Assuming they don’t keep pushing it back (It’s what? 14 months now guys?)

Battlefield 3: Giving you everything MW3 has…Except they don’t expect you to pay for functions that are free in other FPS game.

And yes, I am going to rip on MW3, I’ve had naught but dislike for the franchise after Activision screwed the franchise like that after CoD4.

For GoTY though, it’s a three-way tie between Skyrim, Arkham City and Saints Row 3.

This looka alright, although I have very limited experience in war games (I rented one of the CoDs awhile  back)

    Def. worth a look though.

As to GOTY, as the consensus goes my frontrunner is Skyrim, some of the other E3 games that I had put on similar footing for GOTY came out with release dates in 2012, namely ME3 and Bioshock Infinite.

I’ll rent Arkham city  as well though, the first one was good I just never finished it.

  19. ZomB August 19, 2011 at 4:16 pm -      #19

Factpile needs its own GOTY Award…

  20. Mister Teal August 19, 2011 at 4:25 pm -      #20

Might as well, there’s no singular one-above-all GOTY anyway

  21. Sauroposeidon August 19, 2011 at 5:26 pm -      #21

Having not heard of Skyrim at all, and the apparent praise it’s getting, I’m going to have to check it out.

    Obvious troll is obvious.

  24. TheSorrow August 23, 2011 at 12:08 am -      #24

MW3 is just MW2 with slightly better graphics. Nothing about it seems incredible.
