I’ve seen both of them as well, and I also know a lot about martial arts and weapons, and Xena just isn’t as great as the fangirls think she is, her moves are slow and cumbersome, and her techniques are nothing special. And although you might say it’s only like that because lawless isn’t an expert warrior and martial artist, whereas xena is, it’s still lawless who portrayed xena, and however she portrays xena, is how xena is.

yep i’ve watched the xena show before years ago when it was on. I’m not saying the show was bad or the character is bad.. i’m just being realistic about these fights. The character of Xena would never beat Xena. he’s beating enemies way bigger then Xena ever has and his overall strength and speed would just be too over powering for xena even on a bad day for him. but xena fans are just so out there they think she can beat anyone and its a joke…

Martial Arts mean very little to an opponent such as Kratos and if anyone ever disagrees; then they’ve fought a man who could lift a Person over their heads and tear them in two with their bare hands.
Other than defeating a God and becoming the God of War himself in turn, thus granting him the vision to foresee and command every war in Human history (Inlcuding the upcoming conflict).
(Thank the God of War game series for that bit of info)
Kratos has and can come back from death. He was not given any powers other than Spartan tenacity; and with this alone he ascended from death with his bare but powerful hands, fit and ready to fight literally moments afterwards. Generally the purpose of these fights is to permanantly KO an enemy (AKA Dead as shit), not to have them return seconds later twice as strong.
But as I can see that is not to your satisfaction, I’ll simply list a mandatory group of semantic heavy options for Kratos to employ in combat whilst also conveying points in history where these abilities were used:
- A variety of weapons forged from Olympus itself, such as Chaos blades, the Great Hammer and the Blade of Oylmpus. All of them weapons designed for the very puspose of destroying the Ancient Titans (Just the big guys who created the Universe and gave birth to the Gods, nothing special) and all of them far greater than any weapon that any mortal could manufacture. Potentially they could wipe out entire galaxies with the magic that enfused them; the very magic that makes them unbreakable.
Also his Armour is that of Hercules. Literally the powers embedded within Hercules have been transferred into a suit of armour, which quite frankly craps over anything a mere human could create.
- He can channel Poseidon, Lord of the Oceans through himself; just for the purpose of kicking butt.
- He may also channel Zeus to deliver bolts of high current lightening to fry his foes.
- He is equipped with the Eurayle (The head of Medusa) to turn his enemies and whatever clothing they are wearing into Stone. With this power alone he could turn Xena into a block of granite.
- The Atlas Quake which can rend the Earth beneath the feet of his opponents.
- Also in his reppetoir is the Amulet of Fates, which allow him to stop time for everything but himself. The wings of Icarus that allow him to fly and the Golden Fleece which deflects all projectiles and instead returns them to the sender, at even more accelerated (And devastating velocity) than before.
- Finally (Other than superhuman strength and agility), Kratos can summon the dead to fight as weapons on his behalf. This being can channel Hades and use the dead as supernatural projectiles.
- Was the only Human to ever reach, equip and use Pandora’s Box to his own will without destroying the Universe. He took the most powerful weapon in the ENTIRE Universe and used it to attain victory. Which is how he destroyed Ares by the way, thus not weakening his postion as the God of War, but rather only threatened it.

So there we have it, a former Spartan General who commanded the largest Armies of Greece, defeated the God of War, BECAME the God of War whilst gaining the strength, determination, foresight and ability to wield incredible magical powers. Carries weapons that no human could ever design or forge, wields weapons capable of destroying the entirety of existence. A flying millenia old warrior who is capable of deflecting projectiles, turning enemies to stone, summoning the strength of Gods, capable of killing Titans, using the Un/dead as weapons in combat and can even STOP TIME in such a way that would put Neo to shame.
Never mind that he has Earth shattering strength (He has sunk Islands with his strength alone), survive explosions great enough to wipe cities off the map and the agility to fight Minotaurs, Hydras and the occasional God.
right…but xena also fought Gods…and not 1 at a time…6 at a time… its is really hard to kill xena… and when she died she escaped from death to

since they are allowed to use all of their powers…then xena could absolutley use her powers that she got from china and they are invinsible… as for hercules thingy….xena knocked him out when he came as a guest to her show:P besides she saved him many times.

Kratos is not the type for dimplomacy; and as a fan of both series (I’m a massive Xena: WP nerd) I can honestly NEVER see Xena winning this match. Not as a Biased or as a favour towards the God of War series, I just cannot express how difficult would be to fight Kratos, a man who lift up the ground beneath your feet or crush your skull with the heft of his little finger.
Kratos can beat her to death with his left nut if he wanted to, he is practically a Universal force unto himself.
xena can never be compared to kratos , for they are so diffrent. But it is well known that its really hard to kill xena. the gods of mount olympus failed at doing this….as if xena is charmed. so its sooo difficult for kratos to kill xena as much as its difficult for xena to kill him. but at the end someone has to win if they fought and it might be kratos unless xena finds a way beacuase she is f#ckinggggggggg smart.

I will admit tht im an avid kratos fan and only have dabbled into xena (back whn it was cool to do so like 10 years ago) but CMON guys!! while yes as others have mentioned Xena has fended off more than one god at a time…fighting Kratos at full power would be like fighting the ENTIRE pantheon of gods AND TITANS at once.

It’s almost as if the Xena fan’s at listening what L-W is saying =P. He has already shown that Kratos’ powers completely overwhelm Xena. Also, don’t forget all the weapons and powers Kratos acquired in God of War: Chains of Olympus.
Weapons
Gauntlet of Zeus – This is a massive gauntlet that Kratos finds in the depths of Tartarus. With it he can shatter solid stone and iron, and can also deliver electric-charged blows.
Magic
Efreet – Used by the Persian King and acquired by defeating him. This is a block-breaking blow by a giant fiery Efreet which comes out of you and slams its fist at the ground causing a blow the size of Poseidon Rage, knocking out any enemy nearby.
Light of Dawn – Acquired by solving a parrying puzzle similar to the fireball puzzle in God of War II after you acquire the Golden Fleece.
Charon’s Wrath – Obtained after defeating Charon and stealing his mask. Kratos will put the mask on and send a large blast, that stops smaller enemies from moving while inflicting damage.
Relics
Sun Shield – Kratos obtains this within the Temple of Helios. With it he can block enemy attacks, and also deflect projectiles back at enemies (much like the Golden Fleece from God of War II).
Triton’s Lance – Kratos finds this within the Caves of Olympus. It allows him to dive, swim, and breathe underwater (much like the Poseidon’s Trident) from God of War.
There aren’t very many, but they all are more than enough to defeat Xena.
Kratos would win this easily- even if Xena did kill him he’d just climb back on out of hell-like he has in he past-and kill her.
Oh and atleast support with evidence… plz??

Cut off his head? Wow, good strategy. Here Xena is closing, attempting to use mortal weapons against an immortal being who wields weapons that can slay divine or semi-divine beings. Mortal weapons could not even hurt the God of War, while Xena would be wiped out in one blow. Even if we are talking about Kratos before he became the God of War, there is no way Xena stands a chance. All his magical weapons and items alone would defeat her a thousand times over, and that’s not even considering the divine powers Kratos wields at his strongest. He is faster, stronger, tougher, better equipped, and simply better than any mortal could be. Xena is outmatched.
BTW, what is all this about Xena killing gods? I don’t know how they define “god” in that canon, but if they can be beaten a mortal–even one with the best weapons and martial techniques available–they are definitely not gods by the loosest definition. What weapons/techniques did she use to kill them? What you’d call a “god” in the GoW universe is capable of defeating the mightiest mortals with the equivalent effort of blinking one eye. As far as I see it, this is barely a fight at all, more like an execution.

Xena uses a long sword in a heavy two handed style. This is good if you’re fighting an armored opponent, but neither combatant wears much armor.
Kratos uses a duel short sword style with chains to extend his reach. It lacks a bit of power that typical styles use but Kratos generally compensates with brute strength.
The Chakram is Xena’s only real advantage and that is questionable whit experienced opponents.

GOW is a lot better than Xena. Xena never climbed on top of a cyclops and used her bare hands to rip out its eye, Xena never took on a god and won… multiple times, Xena never challenged fate herself… and won, Xena never, literally, fought her way out of hell. Kratos did all those things and more.

the only real similarity is that both are hack and slash games and this game certainly did not invent that genre.
This is exactly why most people here dont respect Xena fans. They just keep saying the usual “Xena Wins” without giving a good reason why. All the while forgetting that everytime they do so, they only gain more annoyed glances from everyone else because the opposition also has fans who will defend him or her.
It would be fine citing the Xena is powerful feats if Xena ever displayed amazing capabilities like lifting 10 tons of rock or throwing the chakram at velocities more common to Railguns or at least a 50. cal bullet to the brain. C) Describe some of the things Xena has defeated. Did she just kill an old man in a white robe labeled as a “god” or did she defeat a master of supernatural events with impressive abilities?
D) What resistances does Xena have, does she have any items that might make her resistant to some of Kratos’s abilities.

Build an argument to defend your chosen warrior. That’s all. It doesn’t have to be an essay or a report, just provide evidence to support your claims.. that all.

Just adding on to this. Most people ( myself included ) find it hard to take comments seriously when they’re written in all caps. The more grammar, correct spelling, and punctuation people see in your comments, the more they’ll “read” it and maybe even comment intelligently on it. Not that you have to have perfect English, but… just don’t write in all caps.
Kratos is long overdue an award.
why do people think xena knows martial arts??? the oldest martial art kalarippayattu dates back to at least the 12th century BCE. Xena is around 13 BCE and she isnt using a Japanese steel katana anyways… it would have to be bronze. and the katana was designed around 13 hundred AD… two and half Thousand years later…

Maybe L-W perhaps? Anyway, I find it so unfortunate that somepeople think Xena could beat Kratos. After reading this entire thread, I almost left my laptop in disgust…..Oh, and Admin, I think everyone has proven that Kratos deserves the Factpile award.
