Kusagari Hero Vs The Prince of Persia

Kusagari Hero Vs The Prince of Persia

Suggested by bluefireXD

Here we have Kusagari Hero of the Red Steel franchise making his debut on FactPile up against the Prince of Persia.

This is a swordsman dual.

The Kusagari is allowed his katana and his revolver, but it only has 5 bullets.
He possesses all his abilities (including Kusagari powers)

The Prince receives the Scorpion sword, 2 sand tanks and his only time ability is the time rewind
(max of 4 seconds).

The scenario is a Dojo with a second level and numerous beams.

Who wins?

I would think the revolver clenches this for the first guy, but can Prince attack WHILE rewinding, like move behind him, then rewind and hit him on the way back or what?

If not, probably the revolver unless Prince has a lot of experience dodging bullets.

    Also, RIP Floyd Patterson

Oh, I missed the beam-dojo thing.

If the beams are wide enough, PoP can maybe do his jumping shtick then to beat Kusagari, unless this guy has Vash or Jigen-style aiming ability. I never played Red Steel so I’m kind of up in the air because I’m usually inclined to side with the guns lol

Prince has a lot of time hax, he should win. Unless factpile thinks Vegeta should beat Shadow.

    @ Envoy
I know the Prince has time hax, that’s why I limited him to only be able to rewind time for 4 seconds.

This is a stomp. You took away the only thing that gave the Prince a chance against a pistol user. As it is now the Prince gets shot in the head, rewinds, get shot in the head by the same bullet, rewinds, gets shot in the head by the same bullet again, and dies. End of match.

There isn’t any other way this can go down without either removing the pistol or restoring the time powers.

This IS how this will go down, and you can probably just guess what that links to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=puUUAQWR8U4

Has anyone here played red steel? I’ve been looking for the wii game I saw that had realistic fighting where you controlled the sword and stuff, and I was wondering if this was it.
    PoP gets raped hard core

    @sparks
How are you first on every single new thread? I’m confuzzled

    @Fang

Just right place right time kind of thing, when I break my current sleep schedule I won’t be awake for the morning posts like I’ve been for the past week and a half.

As well, I’m taking a trip for about 7 days starting tomorrow, so I’ll likely not be first poster very much for a that whole time unless I just have my typical luck in checking FP and seeing a fresh thread lol

Haha alright, so its luck, not talent

Red steel is pretty good, the motion plus makes it more realistic than twilight princess for example, and the combo of gun and sword works pretty smoothly. If you buy it just make sure to crank up the sensitivity all the way.

    You do have a point…

So it’s either a pure swordsmanship duel (no time powers, no guns) or an all-duel where both characters get everything.

PoP has a lot of experience in climbing/ running, id say as long as he can avoid all of Kusagari’s bullets then there will be a bit of dancing and the princes physical strength and speed may pay off. However i dont know much about Kusagari’s powers? im pretty sure that the princes power to rewind time for a maximum of 4 seconds is pointless in this scenario, it may only prove significant if he activates the power after he is immediately shot to avoid it happening again. or he can simply avoid the bullets with speed and use the time power to anticipate a sword move and get a couple hefty slashes or stabs on Kusagari hero. The most significant aspect of this match up is whether Kusagari Hero’s bullets pay off, if not then can anyone here see him winning in a straight sword fight against the PoP??? :/ i can’t

So does this match has a chance to be good, you guys?

The Last Kusagari can block bullets with his sword and has an ability to put 5 rounds into someones head within a couple of seconds. One of the special abilities in the game is a perceptional slow time to allow the player to mark a bunch of enemies. After that part is done a hail of bullets fly out and hits them wherever, and however many times, they’ve been marked.

I see this as much the same way as I saw before. Headshot, Rewind, Headshot, Rewind, Headshot. It doesn’t help that a Rewind would put the bullet back into the gun, so only one bullet would be required.

On purely sword combat the Prince is fast, but Kusagari is fast enough to block bullets and strong enough to toss people into the air. He also has special abilities that work as an area of effect attack centered around him (which would be undodgeable and unblockable to someone like the Prince without his high end time powers), and he has what is basically a Sword Beam that can be marginally spammed. It isn’t quite but it has push back so assuming you get constant hits you end up much further away from the target then you started by the time they are dead.

If the Prince is given his PoP:TT (CI by the way) time powers he would gain a Slow Time ability. It would help him out in a sword match, but I don’t know if it would be enough. If the Prince has all of his time abilities (and I should note that that amounts to a composite character) he would win easily. Haste and Raveges of Time (I think) are basically Time Stops + teleportation. Haste is actually worse as it also puts enemies in a Time Slow as well.

All powers/weapons boils down to who moves first… which means the Prince, because he can screw up time. Probably anyways.

Actually, that was Red Steel 1, the Last Kusigari is from Red Steel 2.
