*If you’re nuts /b/ has it’s view on the event.*

Checking it out now and there is a thread about a guy who says: I was fapping and a spider crawled over my testicles… I feel so violated.

Then there is a thread that is about girls posting their bra size

This is followed by a thread about trolling Justin Bieber AGAIN….

Next up is a rage guy comic thread.

The next thread is another fake incest story that ends up in a bel air….

And whadda ya know?? A doubles thread…no really those threads suck.

    Copypasta thread.

Another copypasta thread…(I know realize why I don’t browse that site anymore)

And…oh wait BINGO here we have one! It says: Hai America Europe here….are you enjoying your national skydiving day?…Old joke is old but atleast it is something.

Anyway to the actual topic…this is a day that will proberly be remembered forever just like WW2.Many died on 9/11 but many more died in the aftermath of the wars that followed.I can’t actully believe this war has been easily going for over 9 years and we are still staring in a bottomless pit regarding the matter of terrorism.

I hope it all ends soon…

It’s the scale of the attack that’s really shocking.

Though I am not American, being at NYC during the incident definitely impacted my life as well. God save the Queen.

I’m not being insensitive to this day, I’m just saying in the big picture of things the impact on everyone was more important than the deaths.

  14. Kenny C. September 11, 2010 at 9:32 am -      #14

The day that my Dad thought about going back to the military.

The single event that started a whole new era in history and sent the world’s armies into motion. 9-11 was not only the death cry of some 3,000 people – it was the signal for a whole new era of war and destruction. Even now, the Middle East has become a gaint playboard with hundreds of thousands of troops being moved around in a crazed version of chess with casualties mounting every day. Even after nine years, the enemy continues to fight and all we can see in the distance is future trials and enemies yet to be defeated.

9-11 was not an American tradegy, it was a world tradegy. One that continues to take lives to this very day. For that we should remember it. Seek to gain more knowledge from this attack and learn our lessons well. When the entire world seems to be going down the drain lately – keep the faith. Only through our will and perseverance will we get to the other side of this.

Surrender or retreat is not an option – for the enemy has been shown to strike at us directly and his goal is simple – for the Western world to pay for its preceived wrongs on the third world. While many of these wrongs are false and invalid, many are also true. To this end we can only do one thing and still protect what we love – strike back and continue to oppose them no matter what.

I won’t be posting anything else today in respect of those that died and continue to die from 9-11.

Of course, that’s just what he told me. I have my doubts.

“Looking at it from a third person perspective, we were given MANY warnings not to interfere in their business. Our ignorance led to our failure.”

I personally believe that every Human has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, no matter what color their skin is or what gender they are. And NOBODY has the right to take that away. And anybody who does decide they have the power to take away others rights forfeits their own. That is why I am an avid supporter of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Anybody who believes they can torture/kill anybody they want, persecute others because of race, religion, and gender does not deserve their freedoms and/or life. And those who whine about the West interfering on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves are plain and simply cowards.

I agree. That’s why we should have left them to sort it out by themselves. Also, who interveined for us during the revolution? Nobody. Yet we still won. Remember Russia? We must learn from our mistakes lest Call of Duty becomes reality.

  49. TheImperfectMan September 11, 2010 at 1:27 pm -      #49

I believe this tragedy was eventual culmination of the mistakes that the US as well as the other powers have done in the past. 9/11 was the symbol, that even in the new millenium, we as a human race learned nothing. Now, I wonder how divided the world really is now. I thought something worse as well that there maybe people out there, including Americans, who are using this tragedy among others to fulfill their own agenda, or there are people who are apathetic for such tragedies either.
It is such things that makes me ashamed for being human.

All I know is, if don’t reconcile and make amends with ourselves and with each other: Americans, Middle Easterners, Europeans, Asians, Latin Americans, etc, expect, our children to pay the price. Expect our posterities’ blood to be split upon the ground, because we refused to change.

Really I almost forgot about this if people would stop reminding me of it I would have. People die, it is how we work, we die from old age or natural selection.
    antiwar.com/casualties/

If this is right, America pretty much made a kill count that is worse than 9/11.
What ever happened to this good will to mankind thing everyone always talks about?

Shall we set up a memorial for the common cold as well or maybe Aids?

as a black man i can confirm this as true, i didnt vote for him..but i hope he pulls something out his ass that makes him worthy of being president.

“Yeah, I also forgot what day it was.
    Allah bless al qaeda.”

while i usually support the “any means to meet your ends” approach, civilians should never be caught in the mix. thats the point where the message didnt mean anything to me. had it been only a military installation, or something of the sort i wouldnt have had any feelings, i barely have feelings for it….completely forgot that it even happened.

this is how it went down in mobile:

oh no a plane flew into a building!
oh no people are jumping off the building!
*tv turns off* eyes on your own paper finish chapter 4-6 then the essay questions.
*a week later we learn terrorist did it*
*a week after that we didnt care anymore*

“Looking at it from a third person perspective, we were given MANY warnings not to interfere in their business. Our ignorance led to our failure.”

i completely agree US has no business interfering with any other countries..period. otherwise shit like 9/11 happens, but you know america we have to wave or dicks at everyone to show ours is the biggest. then we have a pissy fit when someone challenges us…..then we wage war that begin to ruin and drain the economy, but whatever this is the country i live in luv the freedom, but i wont fight for this country.

Hey, even though I don’t believe al queda was responsible for 9-11 atleast there willing to die for there beliefs. I admire that about them, even when the whole world is trying to kill them they still keep going. And no, I’m not muslim or any religion.

“Fisherking was obviously just trolling. Getting pissed at him is what he wanted.”

I wasn’t trolling I was being 100% legit. There are two sides to everything and I, unlike you, don’t believe whatever the media wants me to think. I form my own opinion on things by look at both sides of said event and decide which one I feel was in the right or in the wrong. I’m not one of the sheep who bawws at 9-11 and holds there candles and lighters up in the air in masse.

“I know, it costs folks like you and me.”

Fucking lamo. Not only does that statement make no fucking sense, it makes NO FUCKING SENSE. First off the extremist muslims just wanted outside influences to get the fuck out there country’s. America has been shaping the events of the middle east for decades, by placing pro-american leaders at the head of governments and taking out political rivals of said leaders. All this stirred up anti-american feelings in many country’s in the middle east so it’s no surprise when some extremist faction demanding the removal of western influence in the middle east. Not only that freedom is free, for you atleast. You’re not doing anything to protect your own freedom. It’s the people in the armed forces who are supporting your ass.

“No one can say 9-11 wasn’t good ”

Seeing how I lost a friend on that day I find it incredibly disrespectful to hear that. I am British, yet I still consider this a tragic event for all of humanity. When has death ever been “good”? Maybe a necessary evil at times (as in war against true evil such as the Nazis and etc), but never a good.

“Seeing how I lost a friend on that day I find it incredibly disrespectful to hear that. I am British, yet I still consider this a tragic event for all of humanity. When has death ever been “good”? Maybe a necessary evil at times (as in war against true evil such as the Nazis and etc), but never a good.”

It all depends how you look at it. You see 9-11 as bad because you have personally lost and I respect that. I see it as a good thing because I got 3 days off from school during 9-11 and lo and behold Kenny C. isn’t posting anything today.

Now I’m sorry that my views on 9-11 seem disrespectful to you, but that’s life bro. There’s always going to be some dude who doesn’t share your views on something.

  72. Laharl September 11, 2010 at 5:12 pm -      #72

“but never a good. ” You know why Deer have hunting seasons right?
Overpopulation, in basic if enough people died in america suddenly the economy would balance due to supply and demand.
Less demand means more supply and such.(that is if no one reacted though)
Death does have good sides(such as allowing for new life), just not when you feel the personal impact, which is your case.

  74. Pondering Fool September 11, 2010 at 5:18 pm -      #74

    @Laharl

I agree that Death can have some benefits. My father dies and I get some money as an inheritances. Is it good I got some extra cash? Yes. At the expense of a other human being? No.

“Overpopulation, in basic if enough people died in America suddenly the economy would balance due to supply and demand.”

By your logic the Black Death should have been herald as an economic miracle through out Europe? There are limits to what an economy can take, especially when its man power dwindles. It is not simply supply and demand. If lets say all of New York City was wiped out (about 8 million individuals, give or take a couple hundred thousand), the economy is not all of sudden going to be in balance. Like you said it would only work if people had no emotional component to it, which unfortunately is not the case in an economical system. People are emotional beings and that is life.

wow, pretty intense words on this thread, but i wasn’t aware this was a debate. i’m not going to argue for any side today even though i have very strong opinions about the subject. today is for remembering and mourning, not for arguing. so if you are going to bash on anything please just go away….you wouldn’t walk into a funeral and start yelling at everyone would you?

  76. Laharl September 11, 2010 at 5:25 pm -      #76

“and start yelling at everyone would you?”Well that depends if you are drunk,hated,or/and loved them that much

Sigh, there is a difference between disagreeing with someone (as in politics, philosophy, or food) and saying the deaths of innocents is someone “morally” good. Maybe the benefits of it are useful, but mass murder is never a “good” thing. In that case lets have a Holocaust =and nuke all of the Middle East cause it would solve that pesky Jewish vs. Muslin thing there.

“Now I’m sorry that my views on 9-11 seem disrespectful to you, but that’s life bro. There’s always going to be some dude who doesn’t share your views on something.””

I understand and nor want everyone to be a yes-man. I would however, wish for people to be polite and not flat out rude. If your not mature to act like an adult than people will be pissed at you. That’s life, bro…

I guess you didn’t get it.

  79. Mike September 11, 2010 at 5:32 pm -      #79

well if you do go into any mourning situation like that you are showing no respect for the dead and everyone affected by their deaths. as someone said earlier everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i just think it’s wrong to inject your opinion on a day of mourning and at a place of remembering.

  80. Siggymansz September 11, 2010 at 5:50 pm -      #80

“. as someone said earlier everyone is entitled to their own opinion.”

Its just that your opinion is WRONG!!!

    I joke…….

“i just think it’s wrong to inject your opinion on a day of mourning and at a place of remembering.”

It is wrong………….But i’m doing it anyway

  81. fisherking September 11, 2010 at 5:51 pm -      #81

You know pondering fool, our minds think very very differently. We could go back and forth about what’s right and what’s wrong but we’ll never agree on anything. I don’t care is millions of people get killed, if it doesn’t harm me directly, then I don’t give a fuck. Even if It does harm me directly I still wouldn’t care about the people that died, only that my wellbeing is in danger. Same goes for 9-11, my aunt or uncle or brother could have died and I wouldn’t care. Actually that’s not true, I would care because that means I would have to go to there boring ass funeral so I wouldn’t want any family members to have died at that time. But those people who died in the towers I care nothing about. absolutely nothing. I was laughing when I saw those clips on people jumping out the twin towers. I was also laughing when I saw all those people who lived hundreds of miles away from the attack, and I know for a fact knew no one who died in the twin towers, crying there fucking eyes out and declaring to the world how scared they were. Also how they wanted the “terrurists” to be invaded.

Anyway what I’m trying to say is my moral compass broke the day I opened my eyes to the wider world, and trying to force some on someone who has none isn’t going to work.

” Holocaust =and nuke all of the Middle East cause it would solve that pesky Jewish vs. Muslin thing there.”

I would suggest only nuking the jews.

“mass murder is never a “good” thing”

I personally thing it’s always a good thing. Watching a bunch of people getting slaughtered, that’s better than prime-time t.v. I can only guess how fucking awesome it would be to actually committee the killings.

  84. Mike September 11, 2010 at 6:03 pm -      #84

wow fisherking if what you are saying is really how you feel about death, then that makes you a sociopath, maybe you should seek help. and i’m not trying to insult you. but that kind of thinking can get you into real trouble with the law later down in life not to mention hurt your social, personal, and family life. not joking, just looking out for your well being.

    @ Admin

I agree with PF on this one. A lot of things Fisherking has said is very rude and insensitive. Especially his reasoning: “I see it as a good thing because I got 3 days off from school during 9-11 and lo and behold Kenny C. isn’t posting anything today.”

I don’t give a fucking shit about you or your 3 damn days off fuckhead. Thats not a reason to to consider 3000+ deaths a “good thing.”

  94. Eric Gigliotti September 11, 2010 at 6:17 pm -      #94

I’m actually for the Mosque going up there. It wasn’t the Muslims who bombed the Twin Towers, it was a radical sect that has barely any numbers compared to the mainstream Muslims.

And it would actually show he Terrorists that we are better people.
