“The Rebel tank has turbolasers and is more superior.T4-B Heavy Tank wins.”

I think I might agree with the warsie for once.

Which Mammoth is this? Is it the old Soviet tank or the later, more powerful weapon used by the GDI? The latter is more recent, but the one in the pic is a Soviet one. I call for the GDI tank to be used.

I would guess the T4-B to have superior firepower, being all futuristic and loaded with turbolasers, but the Mammoth isn’t weak with it’s twin 125mm anti-tank guns, or the Railguns it can upgrade to. As for armor, I don’t know. The Mammoth can take some of it’s own rounds, how about the T4? Is it designed to tank shots or does it just hope it doesn’t get shot?

I would think that the current incarnation rule would kick in and we should be looking at the C&C 4: Tiberian Twilight version of the Mammoth Tank.

  6. Whacko August 31, 2010 at 1:16 pm -      #6

Did that game even have the Mammoth? I thought they scrapped it.

No it isn’t. It’s the one from Renegade (which would mean the one from the original C&C). You can even see the GDI symbol on the forwardish part of the near tread. But I agree we should use the latest one.

  8. Inarto August 31, 2010 at 1:39 pm -      #8

Actually Omega the T4-B has laser cannon’s, not turbolasers. I’m not sure if that makes much of a difference though.

My bad. Still, this is an old piece of GDI junk, we need the new piece of GDI junk.

Why did they have to make every unit in that game look like turd? I really liked CnC3 and the appearance of the units, but CnC4…that shit disappointed big time.

Intesting fact: the T4-B was designed as homage to the mammoth.

I think T4 would win, it has lasers, missiles, and mortars, and can go up against AT-ATs.

  14. IvanTih August 31, 2010 at 4:49 pm -      #14

T4 wins because of the superior technology.

  15. Whacko August 31, 2010 at 4:55 pm -      #15

I thought the entire point of AT-ATs were the fact they were so monstrous the rebels didn’t have jack on the ground to fight it?

  16. NemoVonUtopia August 31, 2010 at 5:01 pm -      #16

T4 is from a video game, in “real” life (SW) they were extreemly expencive so there were not many of them.

I’m going with the good old Rebel Alliance tank….although I think the the Galactic Empire had the cooler vehicles.

    T4 for the award.

Is it just me or is the cockpit clearly visible on the T4-B?

I think T4-B tank win.Because it have missile launchers that can destroy a Headquarter

To be honest, not to familiar with this star wars tank, but i’ll argue my points for the mammoth. feel free to explain flaws in my logic.

If we use the Tiberian Twilight version of the mammoth, and it has been upgraded with the mirror armor, I think that it stands a chance. Wouldn’t it just reflect the laser bolts?

Also, that star wars tank seems a bit bigger and bulkier than the mammoth (could be wrong, and both are huge anyway so it doesn’t matter), but if the mammoth were crewed by a good team, i would think it may be able to out maneuver this star wars tank.

If things get really bad, i’ll just have to call in a Ion Cannon (Facetiously of course).

I dont know the mammoth still has advantages, nonvisible cockpit, more armor and if you ever noticed in star wars it dont matter what gun you have its a one shot 1 likk against other star wars units, but the mammoth obviosly asnt no star wars peice of S*** it will shoot 1 rail gun and the star wars tank goes cablooey like would any other star wars peice of S***

  26. Paramedic January 25, 2011 at 5:41 am -      #26

T4-B I say is the winner.

Hit the damn cockpit with its f*cking cannons!!!!!!

  28. smiler666 April 3, 2011 at 1:38 pm -      #28

i am against the ballsac gay mammoth tank that EA created on principal. the westwood walker from tib sun was so much more awesome (also the super cyborg guy > avatar) EA essentially stabbed C&C in the throat when it made C&C3. and what the hell happened to kane, he used to be a badass religious cult hitler type guy, now hes essentially just another whitewash meglomaniac badguy :*( .

the smurfed C&C3 mamoth loses because of the turbolasers on the T4 (starship weapon?), however if we’re using the mammoth walker then that wins coz of its super railgun weapon thing. if we use the soviet mammoth from Red Alert then this is a stomp for the T4.

  29. seradon December 19, 2011 at 1:10 pm -      #29

If this is the C&C 4 Mammoth Tank then it can definitely win this. A lot of you are forgetting that GDI contends against the laser happy NOD and GDI heavy weapons usually come out on top. The T4 comes equipped with laser cannons and either missiles or mortars, while the Mammoth equips twin cannons and rockets pods, with the additional upgrades of railguns and mirror armor (which can even deflect laser fire). As such a fully upgraded Mammoth could punch back just as hard as the T4 while effectively defending itself from some of the incoming laser fire.

  30. tartorus April 12, 2012 at 3:59 pm -      #30

Does the t4 actually have turbo lasers or are they just laser cannons even heavy laser cannons are inferior to light turbolasers so it is a huge difference

  31. tx150ha July 12, 2012 at 9:08 pm -      #31

    T4-B for the win

  32. MrTBSC July 12, 2012 at 9:20 pm -      #32

mammothtank owns with railguns to the cockbit..

  33. Zazax July 12, 2012 at 9:33 pm -      #33

T4 probably has the advantage, but how much depends on the version of the Mammoth used. The most recent one has railguns and rockets for main weapons, with powerful armour which, when fully upgraded, has a good chance to reflect energy attacks back at the attacker.
T4 probably still wins though. Star Wars can get ridiculous.

  34. sleipmon December 17, 2012 at 7:25 pm -      #34

starwars shields don’t stop kinetic attacks. Rebel fighters crashing into star destroyers and inficting damage (destroying bridge) a proton torpedo going through a shield and blowing up death star. So a cannon shell to the cockpit is likely to inflict severe damage to T4-B

  35. xlhhnx April 4, 2013 at 9:17 pm -      #35

Necropost. It all depends on the version of Mammoth. Sorry, but I don’t think the Mammoth from Dawn, Wars, or Twilight could take a T4B. It can take a beating in EAW. The Mammoth Mk. II (The Walker from Sun) would easily kill it. As for Star Wars shield only reflecting lasers, that’s true for Ray Shields but there are a variety of shield systems and some can deflect matter (Like the Second Death Star’s Shield). And yes, Sun was the best of the Series. The reason why twilight was complete shit is that EA mixed it with a game they were producing for the Korean gaming community and put no effort into the either the story or pleasing the fans of the series. They killed it and I won’t forgive them.

  36. Zazax April 4, 2013 at 9:36 pm -      #36

I agree the original Mammoth has no chance, but why, exactly, do the Wars or Twilight ones not? The Wars one, when upgraded, has railguns just like the Mk II and also has rockets that can shoot both ground and air. The one from Twilight has those standard, plus can be upgraded to reflect energy weapons back at its attacker. They both have lower profiles and make smaller targets, and both are faster.
