While I wasnt planning on getting this game, these trailers might have changed my mind.
ok, so far 3 questions for this
1- Why do they look like Clone Troopers?
2- Why did they jump down from the high ground to engage them closer?
3- At 3:39 why do we see the Lightsaber CRACKING!?!?!?
1. I’m guessing it’s maybe a design choice to show how the Clone Trooper armor came to be.
3- the lightsaber didn’t crack it got lost when the clone trooper tackled him duh.
2- Also, high ground isn’t always the best choice in fights plus the dark jedi could have just jumped up there and owned them anyway.

Except it looks closer to Phase II clone armor, which was based off of Phase I (Which looks nothing like the one depicted!)

You would at least get that extra time to shoot them.

That still doesn’t explain how a Lightsaber can crack, as far as I’m aware, there is nothing to crack.
A ‘saber’s blade is contained in an energy field. By having her hand there, preventing the blade to extend to its full length, she might have caused some of that energy to feed back into the blade and start to overload the field, and thus crack.
Awesome trailer.
Rule one: You cannot earn Mandalorian points by standing still, heroic charges are always preferable.
Rule two: The deeper and overall gruffer the voice, the more Mandalorian points you earn.
Rule three: Camouflage deducts Mandalorian points, wearing the least effective color imagineable will triple your score.
Rule four: If possible, detonate a grenade at extreme close proximity and survive being tossed into a tree. MAXIMUM MANDALORIAN POINTS.
Actually upon further inspection it does still look very much like Phase I armor (Although there is still no excuse, Jango Fett was the one giving design tips to the Kamino’s of how it should look).

Meh. These CGI trailers are truly incredible and all…but they are only CGI trailers. Shows me nothing on how the actual game will look and play. I still wait for TOR to amaze me.

What we may be seeing is the containment field failing and plasma leaking out because of the Force Shield the Jedi was using. The blade did seem rather short. This may have put undue pressure on the emitter.

ok that sounds more likely, however we actually see what appears to be pieces of it cracking off (I doubt it was anything leaking out, since it cracked off around the lightsaber), without anything leaking out. But oh well, there is probably some reason somewhere.
Although I have to admit, as ridiculous as it looks, Captain McGruff is wearing one hell of a durable uniform. Taking what looks like a concussion grenade to the face and getting tossed off his feet by several meters; then getting back up moments later with only a few lacerations and a scorched chest plate.

‘I assumed’ because you were talking about Mandalorian points, about guys who are wearing what looks like Clone armor (Kind of sort of mostly the helmet) which were worn by clones of a Mandalorian.
Also, I don’t really have much of a humor.
Actually, the Mandalorians refused the Sith Empire’s attempts to bring them on their side. But eventually, the Sith played a trick on the Mandalorians, using a puppet to earn the title Mandalore and then commit their forces to aid the Sith.
The Mandalorians also served as mercenaries, so the Republic may have hired Mandalorian mercs.

This guys plot shield is so dense that hes able to not even be harmed by any of the Jedi, survives the force lightning with hardly any strain, then only to use a grenade that detonates in front of his face.
Apparently his facial hair might have something to do with all that protection, or it is the invisible plot shield.

Guys, note that he wasn’t going kamikaze with that grenade. It was a sonic grenade, which is the Star Wars equivalent to a flashbang. His plan was probably stun the guy (hard) and leave the Jedi to finish up.

No monthly fee, but it is going to have “micro-transactions.” Basically from what I have read, anything you buy in the game, you actually buy. You have a credit card linked with the game. The stuff isnt much, but it will pile up im sure.

When WOW dies, it will be because blizzard gives a reason for people to stop playing WOW (maybe a starcraft themed MMO?) not because other developers make a “WOW killer”… it’s just a silly concept. Ironically, Starcraft 2 might be more of a WOW killer than this game just because of self-competition.
That said, I hope this game does well…I have nothing against it, I don’t even like WOW anyway.

Again nothing but opinions.I agree that empire total war is better as Halo…But thats nothing more then a opinion.
Also beating WOW is nothing more but opinion.In my eyes WOW is already beaten many times when it comes down to intresting gameplay.People think WOW is the greatest because it has millions of people playing it.This counts for SWTOR too.SWTOR has already beaten WOW in my opinion because i like Starwars more then warcraft…but numbers have shown that the majority off players will keep playing WOW simply because they want to stay in the universe of warcraft.
