48 Hours Vs Lethal Weapon

A little bit of a twist for the tag team section. There are many films about “buddy cops” or the “renegade cop” with help from an unlikely source. So, while this might spawn a new flavor of “Tag Teams”, for this match, choose your winner either based on better pairing/chemistry and/or comedic results. If you want, you can even consider the box office takes, or perhaps the most important, the influence these films have had in their genre.

So, given all that, what are your thoughts?

Lethal Weapon, no doubt about it. The franchise established the uberness of Jet Li in the states. That alone wins them the match in my mind.

Neither of them are a match for Frank Drebin and Detective Nordberg…

But useless “these guys are better” opinion aside, I think we have to give this match to the Lethal Weapon duo. Better actors, better scripts, a longer film run. And it gave the world more of Mel Gibson’s ass, which most women over 30 will tell you is a good enough reason for them to win any match-up ever.

I thought 48 hrs was funnier than Lethal Weapon. However, the Lethal Weapon pair works better together and their movies have had far greater influence than 48 hrs.
