Subject Authorised to proceed.
Blood Dancer coughs, blood lining his lips. Pain spasms through his body. His wounds break and open, pouring more of his crimson life onto the dusty floor.
He slowly moves his uninjured right hand to his sidearm holster. With some effort, he lifts his hand and hands the scratched, grey pistol to Diana.
She looks at him, her eyes trying to find the reason why he had given it to her.
“Do you know the story behind that gun Dee”? he asks before coughing again.
” I have heard some rumours of that weapon from some guys in Beta Group”.
“Such as”?
“That pistol, they say its so heavy, only Superman could lift it”.
“That pistol has protected me, now it must protect you. Like superman”. Blood Dancer weakly says before spiting out
a glob of blood.
Diana holds the pistol and looks down at it. The once polished nickel plating is now scarred with scratches and has begun to blister at the muzzle. She flicks the toggle and drops the magazine. 15 rounds are staggered on top of each other. Each bullet missing its tip.
” Why are these bullets missing their tips”? Diana asks
“That’s for your target to find out”
“Gnat are we there yet”?
“About another 300 meters Sergeant”, Space Marine replies, checking his GPS.
“There they are, Second floor from the top. Oh and scans show that there is no power to the tower.”
“You gotta be kidding me. I hate taking this thing up stairs”, David says pointing at his rifle.
“Use your pistol dumbass”, Space marine sighs.
The two soldiers quickly enter the tower. They begin to climb their way up, always alert for Expert’s minions who could be waiting in ambush. Slowly and steadily the two of them climb until they reach the GPS’s marker. David pulls his Colt 1911 out of its holster, switches the safety off and grips the door handle. It turns and he swings the door open.
An explosion and David is thrown to the floor.
Diana didn’t even know she pulled the trigger. She had heard noises coming from the stairway. She took position behind a shelf and waited. The door had swung open and someone was about to enter. She spun from the shelf and fired Blood Dancer’s pistol at that someone. When she saw Space Marine’s head behind that thing she shot, she realised she had made a fatal mistake…..

much shorter, but i liked the fact that you are thinking outside the norm, the good guys do get hurt and die, as they would in real life, good job and keep it up, looking forward to seeing what other charectors come in

Or even more likely, he accidentally sets them off and kills himself, in his stronghold, thus eliminating him and his army of “noobs”
I think he’d just forget to open the silo doors,thus destroying detroying his ‘fortress of doom’ in a massive explosion while the 1812 overture plays in the background.

Hey, in all seriousness I think hotshot has improved quite a bit since his earlier posts. He even admitted that Halo would lose to Star Wars… that is unless it was his younger brother typing… which would mean he hasn’t changed at all

Otherwise, the tension just got cranked up to 11, because as we all know a good war novel is made more tense with unintentional friendly fire or a possible not so friendly fragging.
But seriously its very good, you’ve sparked our collective interests (I hope) lets see if you can keep it.
