Master Chief vs Quadraxis

Master Chief vs Quadraxis

First time appearance for Quadraxis on the site. While easily one of the biggest bosses in Metroid history, Quadraxis poses a threat to MC with the vast arsenal that it can deploy against him. Would the Chief be able to pull out a victory here?

What the heck is a quadraxis?

  2. JoshMcFace July 10, 2009 at 11:53 am -      #2

Quadraxis. No chance in hell that Chief is getting within 100 feet.
I think we’ve pretty much established that anything that can graze Samus can annihilate MC.

“one of the biggest bosses in Metroid”

    Quadraxis wins.

  4. Pokezilla July 10, 2009 at 1:22 pm -      #4

Chief can do it. I mean, he took out High Charity, destroyed many Scarabs, similar to Samus. Give him a Spartan Laser and he’ll do it.

I don’t think it’s fair to put Master Chief, or anything from Halo for that matter against anything from Metroid, as the tech level difference between the two(just like with things from Halo vs things from Star Wars) is too vast for the fight to be considered fair. Sci-fi’s should only go up against other sci-fi’s which have a similar tech level too them.

  6. OriginalA July 10, 2009 at 2:59 pm -      #6

I don’t think so Tim. I’m pretty sure that a Covenant battle fleet could take out a Zoomer.

@ Pokezilla: Are you serious? Quadraxis can survive tons and tons of damage and the Spartan Laser has 5 shots. Also the only reason why John was able to take those out was because he was inside them and hit their power cores. Quadraxis’s power core is on the top of its head protected by a shield that will not break untill it has been so severealy damaged that just its head is left. Considering that John isn’t even going to be any taller than those bright red lights on its feet, that is an impossible shot for a linerar firing weapon.

Then you have to figure in Quadraxis’s agility. Despite its size this guy is actually one of the more agile bosses (up there with Metroid Prime, Dark Samus, Ridley, and Gandreyda).

Its primary weapon is an autoseeking, rapid fire, Matter/Anti-Matter cannon for goodness sake! John isn’t going to be able to dodge even a single bolt, much less several in rapid succession.

I think MC is way outclassed here. He would need a fully staffed scorpion to do minamal damage even.

  8. Pokezilla July 10, 2009 at 4:24 pm -      #8

If Samus can do it, John certainly can.

I am now leaving this topic.

Pokezilla, you just ruined my high, and I was just going to say “MC looks badass in that picture” but your fanboyism just destroyed everything…thanks a lot pisshead…

Can John curl into a ball? Didn’t think so. The Chief is out of his league here. His weaponry is far inferior.

Master Chief would need to destroy all four leg joints, then blow up the feet. 8 targets for his 5 shot Spartan Laser. If he somehow manages that, it ends the body, but the head still needs to be destroyed. The Head flies, shoots the matter/antimatter weapon mentioned earlier, and is protected by an impenetrable energy shield. To destroy the shield, he’d need to destroy the transmitters on the body that give the head its shield.

It’s just like the Omega Pirate; the Chief just doesn’t have enough firepower.

Who suggested this? You should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting such an unfair fight. MC doesn’t stand a chance.

Ah, Pokezilla adopting the “Nah, nah I can’t hear you” tactic he is so famed for.

I imagined something like this would happen when I saw the pic with John-117 with a Gravity Hammer.

I saw this post and I laughed. Quadraxis is one of the most Epic boss fights in Metroid. And, well, there is nothing from Halo capable of even scratching Quadraxis save for Orbital Bombardment from Covenant Energy Projectors or a NOVA Nuclear Warhead.

I herby Nominate Quadraxis for the win. Next time, put it up against a Land Raider or something!

  15. the_man_with The_Answers July 12, 2009 at 1:40 pm -      #15

How tall exactly is Quad? Just asking.

  16. OriginalA July 12, 2009 at 6:35 pm -      #16

See those red lights on his feet? Those are about head hight with Samus Aran. According to the MII:RoS manual Samus is 6 feet 2 inches tall. So Quadraxis is roughly 60 feet tall, but I’m just kind of eyeballing that guess.

You can also just watch the fight and judge for yourself.

  17. Thepocalypse July 13, 2009 at 8:29 am -      #17

You kind of need Samus’ exact powers for this. With a few suit upgrades he could handle it, but Quadraxis is too much at this point.

  18. the_man_with The_Answers July 13, 2009 at 7:37 pm -      #18

Wow, Quad looks bigger than a Scarab, but its not……. actually, a scarab is like 5 times taller. To bad MC doesn’t have a scarab, he would win for sure.

  19. JoshMcFace July 14, 2009 at 8:16 pm -      #19

“To bad MC doesn’t have a scarab, he would win for sure.”
I doubt it. Metroid weaponry>>>>>Halo weaponry.

  20. Skrunks July 14, 2009 at 10:21 pm -      #20

Quadraxis would roast a Scarab too.

  21. the_man_with The_Answers July 15, 2009 at 1:22 pm -      #21

Unless the scarab stepped on quad, but thats unlikly.

  22. jeremy birch July 18, 2009 at 12:40 pm -      #22

Hey, if chief can kill two scarabs at once, then he can certainly kill this fagy scarab rip off.

  23. the_man_with The_Answers July 20, 2009 at 6:41 pm -      #23

didn’t Quad come out before scarabs, making them a sort of rip-off it you classify them in the same catogory.

  24. wtf bomber July 28, 2009 at 9:49 pm -      #24

    @the_man_with The_Answers
You still haven’t said why he couldn’t wi against it since hes killed 2 scarabs at once…

  25. OriginalA July 29, 2009 at 1:47 am -      #25

John destroyed two Scarabs because he had access to highly manuverable vehicals, support from allies, and the Scarabs have an easy accessable weak point that causes a catostrophic failure in the machine with two rockets.

Quadraxis has weapons of a higher calibure, John doesn’t have access to those afore mentioned vehicals, or allies, and its weak spot is only reveiled after destroying its four “shoulder” armor pieces, destroying the three sonic transmitters on the head module, and finally planting explosives on the head module itself. Meanwhile John cannot carry enough ammo for his weapons to cause enough damage to even destroy the “shoulder” armor pieces. He lacks the firepower required to endure this fight as well as any damage received by Quadraxis to John will likely terminate him instantly.

  26. the_man_with The_Answers July 31, 2009 at 9:40 am -      #26

i keep imagining this fight with something scrarab size, only to remind myself Quad is only a fith of that size. Shame……..

  27. Zervziel August 3, 2009 at 2:20 am -      #27

I think with a little imagination and luck John could pull it off. After all you must remember, nothing is indestructible. Highly advanced technology only gets you so far. Look at the Battle of Endor. The ewoks used their stone-age tech to destroy and defeat enemies who access to technology that makes us envious.

Another good example would be from the Halo novel, the Ghosts of Onyx. The spartans manage to destroy a onyx sentinel factory that technically should have been impossible to destroy considering the size and the distance of the targets. And they did it by tricking the uber powerful sentinels into destroying their own factory.

  28. The_man_with The_Answers August 4, 2009 at 11:25 am -      #28

That almost makes a good piont. Technically, you could get a combat ready AI to fool itself into killing itself depending on its level of intellingence. atctually, I fool alot of AI in video games into killing themselves as well. Of course Quad is smarter then any next-gen game AI, but still, MC is a hell of a lot smarter than even a straight A Naval graduate.

Depending on MC’s weapons, the terrian of the battle, and Quad’s intellect, MC could win or lose this battle.

  29. mightyorb August 8, 2009 at 12:34 pm -      #29

if MC can be taken out by standard weapons such as bullets lazers rockets and whatever then surely a matter/antimatter blast will leave nothing of him.

scarab tanks might be 5 times the size of the Quadraxis but the scarab tanks will proberly become very jealous on his matter/antimatter weaponry.

  30. the_man_with The_Answers August 12, 2009 at 1:40 pm -      #30

Still, if MC had a big burst of luck, he could defeat Quad through self-destruction. But that is a long shot even for the luckiest SPARTAN.

  31. OriginalA August 12, 2009 at 3:10 pm -      #31

I doubt you could get Quadraxis to hurt itself. Its matter/antimatter main gun auto tracks its target but they are not quite manuverable enough to double back to Quadraxis’s location, its shockwave attacks don’t hurt itself, and the rest of its attacks are physical bashes.

If you wanted to get the only attack that is fesable to hit Quadraxis you would have to get it to shoot at you, move at a 90 degree angle, and have Quadraxis move INTO its own shot by its own will, which would be another 90 degree angle from where you are. Also you would have to have Quadraxis cut off your path and from there it could use any of its physical attacks on you. And finally a single matter/antimatter blast would not kill it since its armor is increadibly dense and several certain points, which also happen to be the most armored, are need to be destroyed to kill Quadraxis. Considering that Quadraxis seems to be Crosshair Aware of where you are going to shoot it, I suspect that it is more than aware of where its own bolts are.

Even if the body gets destroyed by some ungodly lucky moves, the Head will still survive and it is less inclind to move around and its armor is the heaviest there.

  32. orber August 14, 2009 at 8:27 am -      #32

i personly think we can nominate quadraxis for the award?i have yet to see a argument that makes chief survive and dodge the matter/antimatter weapons of the quadraxis.

  33. the_man_with The_Answers August 14, 2009 at 12:01 pm -      #33

    Ya, Quad for the FPA!

  34. billfromattorney September 27, 2009 at 5:50 pm -      #34

why does no one vote for chief? i read about three chief vs random person and everyone said that chief would lose

  35. OriginalA September 27, 2009 at 6:03 pm -      #35

No one votes for John because realistically he has no chance of victory. He lacks the fire power to hurt Quadraxis to any degree that is beyond cosmetic (if he can even do THAT much) and Quadraxis has several weapons that should kill John in a single hit, and many of those weapons are have a rather large area of effect or actively track their target.

Untimately John-117 isn’t that strong of a video game character and many of the strong video game characters are heaviliy outclassed by comic and anime characters.

  36. AHEM December 6, 2009 at 9:00 pm -      #36

Nope, not much of a chance for MC. Maybe if you had Quadraxis against an army from Halo, with elites, spartans, hunters, scarabs, wraiths, etc. then maybe it would take some serious damage and go down, but even then it would go through most Halo forces like they’re candy. You’d need something on the Metroid/Star Wars/Warhammer 40K level to put down Quadraxis realistically, otherwise you’re just going to maybe cause a few scratches if your lucky.

  37. The Guy Who is actually Intelligent December 28, 2009 at 11:54 pm -      #37

I’m not even going to debate since we all know who would win. People don’t vote for Chief ’cause he’s been humbled on this site. He is not unstoppable. Far from it. In all honesty, in the Metroid universe, he’s the equivalent to a bug. Quadraxis vs. Some guy equal to a bug. Samus vs. Some guy equal to a bug. Space Pirates vs. The Zealots who repeatedly get pwnd by some guy equal to a bug. It’s all the same.

  38. the king hippo January 1, 2010 at 6:01 am -      #38

Tricking Quadraxis into killing itself is out of the question. Twas built as an uberwtfpwnall weapon against the ing, by a race nearly as advance as the chozo.

“I don’t think so Tim. I’m pretty sure that a Covenant battle fleet could take out a Zoomer.”

Sry for being late but that made me lol sew Quadraxis for factpile award

  39. The New guy January 29, 2010 at 5:01 pm -      #39

Even for Aran, it is difficult to hit 1 joint on quadraxis’ armour, so if she cant do it so easily, neither can Cheif, i mean, quadraxis is a mammoth sized machine capable of mass destruction, master chief would barely be able to just get the leg joints, and shooting the head is twice the trouble, sure, MC can smoke to scarabs at once, but do you think that a machine that big will put up an easy fight? for some people, as hard as it might be to say, i give this round to quadraxis, plust he can make even kraid look like a total wuss

  40. The New Guy April 4, 2010 at 1:51 pm -      #40

I stand corrected, a few weeks ago, i beat quadraxis in about 15-20 minutes, so unless your a super uber noob, the fight shouldnt be too hard, then again i did it on normal, and i think alot of people do it on hard.

  41. Quadraxis September 16, 2010 at 3:00 am -      #41

God, this is such an unfair fight. For starters Halo universe technology doesn’t even match Metroid tech, especially if its by the luminoth. This weapon was made to kill of any ing that came near it, and already enough samus has problems even getting just 1 point off him without getting shockwaved or Annilihator charged. MC wouldn’t even be able to scratch one point off the thing, give or take scratching it. And even if he had a scorpian tank, I think it would problely get annilihated by an Antimatter beam in just 1 shot, if not get crushed by a physical stomp. There is no way in world, that Quadraxis will hit itself with its own weaponry, even if you were able to curve it, its problely just going to hit a leg which isn’t going to do anything. Plus hes more then likely going to shockwave stomp or crush him with one of his legs. Need be, we not forget about Quadraxis Tornado spin attack which sucks you directly into him, GG MC. And even if he got the body down, theres no way he could detect the sound waves needed to locate the signal transmitters, he would problely be dead by the time he even tries to aim the antenne anyways. Furthermore, MC can’t even touch Quadraxis’s last form, because he would have to jump onto the things head. Which he could not do without gettng one of his weapons, especially the slow orange ones. Quadraxis outranks samus on many levels already, the only thing that was really helping her was chozo/luminoth technology, plus her experience of course. Also Quad would eat any scarab alive! They ae bigger, but he would definatly take the thing out very easily with his arsenal of weaponry, and the armys are no different.

Quadraxis wins, 10/10 on this lol…

  42. Quadraxis September 20, 2010 at 4:17 pm -      #42

Also, Quadraxis isn’t too hard to take down. Did him in 5-10 minutes, but thats on normal with *Samus* not master cheif 😛

  43. Who? September 20, 2010 at 4:23 pm -      #43

    …Your name is Quadraxis.

Also, yes, your namesake PWNs here, haha!

  44. Quadraxis September 25, 2010 at 11:19 pm -      #44

Yes Ownage of quadraxis, strangly I played through it again and it took me longer….Problely because my beam ammo was 40 light and 170 dark Lol…

  45. Who? September 25, 2010 at 11:29 pm -      #45

Indeed, haha! Hey, if you’re interested, I found this neat image of Quadraxis you could use as a gravatar…
