While this could certainly fall into the realm of different matches, for this battle, I think a good comparison would be who had the better series of the two. I never saw much of either show but I have one friend who did and he tells me Hercules was better.

I saw some of both. I think they are pretty much the same. Xena had better plot and scripts (comparatively, that is), but Hercules had more action.
Again, the differences are minute. That said, I’ll vote for Hercules as I like his mythology far more than Xena’s make-beleive story.
Is this the Hercules from the original Greek Mythology or the TV series? Because I did not watch the TV series, so I am ignorant of his abilities there, but if it is the Hercules from OGM, then I would go with Hercules. Just look up the 12 Task he had to complete to make himself innocent after Hera made him kill his wife & little kids……

Personally, I prefer Hercules. His fighting style and character were always more interesting to me.
I’ll go with hercules, he’s a demigod. I recall watching the legendary journeys and he was unbeatable. Xena also featured in the series in 3 or 4 episodes. i seem to recall one where they got intimate. but we are talking about warriors, so this wouldn’t interfere at all.

Mate, if you actually read my post, i listed people that would beat Xena. I have no doubt that there are many people across many fictional universes that would flay superman alive, while laughing manically as they kill him. Unfortunately, Xena is not one of those people, nor is Hercules.
On the matter of Doomsday, i readily admit, that DD did kill Superman (or put him in such a low state of living, it was nearly death). If you gave Xena a kryptonite sword, and adamantium Chakrams, she would still be crushed by Superman. You may ask “how is this possible?”. Ever heard of lazer fission from a couple miles away? Or moving Faster than the Speed of Light? (In case you did not know, light moves at 180,000 per SECOND, meaning, Superman could go around the world 7 times in one second.) Also, adding profanity does not make your points any more valid, but adding better pronunciation might help a bit

POST-CRISIS superman was done by John Byrne,which was a weakened superman because he was too ridiculous to lose.After he left,superman went back up the power scale(though not pre-crisis level.)
Besides that,A)Xena wouldn’t be able to do shit against doomsday,and B)No one said he was invicible,its just impossible for xena to do anything against anyone past mid meta human.
Oh,and i like the idea of Xena magically getting kryptonite or adamantium.

And if you stripped Xena of any available oxygen in the area, she would die. So I can say she weak without Oxygen and relies on it to much. That would be the stupidist argument I could make. Just because a character has a certain weakness (in this case, Superman slowly loses strength under red solar light), does not mean they would lose to another character (Xena). I highly doubt, even the ahistorical Xena, using her Super Chakram, could change the very sunlight into red sunlight. Unless you are telling me she suddenly has that power? I would be very impressed…….
Also, that is besides the point. As this is a match between Hercules and Xena, I would give it to Hercules. Seeing as even Xena fans admit that she would lose to the Xena-version Hercules, i see no point in using the Hercules from the actual Greek Myths. That would just be sheer overkill. That is such a ridiculous idea that it makes Master Chief vs. Green Lantern look like a fair fight.
First of all, what kind of bozo would make a sword out of kryptonite? A highly radioactive, brittle element that can cause health problems if you remain in the vicinity of it for extended periods of time? That would be like making a sword out of rock. Furthermore, how in the name of heaven would Xena get her hands on such a weapon? Kryptonite is hardly in ready supply in the Xenaverse, and I do not recall ever seeing Xena carrying around such a weapon.
(Remember, minimal prep time.)

Superman sure didn’t stay dead, and anyway, when Doomsday brought him down, he also fell in battle from the wounds inflicted by the Man of Steel. It took all the power of a Kryptonion being raised in the harshest environment imaginable with the ability to adapt to any situation instantly and possessing strength and speed to rivel Superman, a being who was able to match the whole Justice League, to stalemate Superman in a fight.
Of course, I’m not saying Superman is invincible. Sentry could give him a pretty good fight. Silver Surfer could beat him, if he played his cards right. Gods and god-like beings could best him. Thanos could beat him. But then, while not invincible, Superman is still almost unimaginably beyond Xena’s level. This is someone who possesses the strength to move the mass of planets, and has the speed necessary to squish Xena like a bug in less than a picosecond, too little time for her eyes to even process the photons that reflect off Superman’s image to give her idea of where he is.

Even if Superman had no powers at all, he would still win. The man is a super-genius, not just a berserker with lots of super-strength.(Though he can play it that way too.) Also, red sunlight doesn’t instantly incapacitate Superman, just steadily drain away the energy stores he gets from being exposed to yellow sunlight. As Pondering Fool and Marche mentioned, he has fought under red suns before, even flown through them without losing his powers. Even if Xena could control/change the color of sunlight, she would still be obliterated before she could use those powers, and would never be able to wear Superman down to the point where he would be weak enough to be hurt by her weaponry. Even so, he is extremely intelligent even without his superpowers and could still find a way to outsmart Xena.

Setting aside the ridiculousness of Superman vs. Xena and getting back to the fight at hand, I have to give this one to Hercules. He can and has owned Xena in a fight before, and given the choice, I would pick the Legendary Journeys over a mediocre spin-off that screwed both mythology and history over even worse and managed to create one of the most fanatical and ridiculous fandoms I’ve ever seen or heard of.
