I think it’s true about Goku’s physical strength, although super human, he would be better at using telekinesis/chi energy etc to lift things, rather than brute strength. I’d say Goku’s best abilities lie in his chi energy, devastating and practical techniques, martial arts skills, close invulnerability, speed (in and outside of battle) and power increasing transformations. Whereas Superman’s lie in his strength (both in brute strength and battling), invulnerability, speed, intelligence, various super powers and power increase via the Sun.
I’m not one to judge all of that personally, but maybe a list of the various fighting techniques of each would help??

How about this: Superman who was killed by Doomsday versus Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan (who’s supposed to be the naturally-born SUPERMAN of Super Saiyans) Broly is to Goku as Doomsday is to Superman. I think that a fight between Broly and Doomsday would be very interesting! I believe that even though Doomsday is faster and just as strong as Superman when he killed him would be desintegrated by the most powerful ki energy blast by Broly. That way Doomsday couldn’t regenerate and come back to life. And if Doomsday did manage to come back to life from whatever ashes are left, Broly would have already ascended in power naturally without training. (because that is the gift of being the Legendary Super Saiyan) Doomsday would have surpassed Broly at the stage that he was at when he killed Doomsday, but Broly would not make the same mistake to leave regenerative ashes of Doomsday- so he would not only beat Doomsday in combat with more strength, speed, and superior martial arts ability but also destroy Doomsday would much of a percentage of his galaxy-destroying power and even destroy the leftover ashes just in case.
Last sentence correction: Broly would destroy Doomsday from physical existence with much of a percentage of his galaxy-destroying power. (Broly completely destroyed a galaxy in the first animated Dragonball Z movie that introduced him) He would not only beat Superman (writer John Byrne reinvented Superman who isn’t as powerful as Pre-crisis Superman who could blow galaxies in place and move planets) and kill Superman, but could also destroy the physical existence of Doomsday’s ashes.
Remember this JoshMcFace and Marche: Superman couldn’t beat and kill Doomsday without being killed, but Goku at his full power tried his best with speed and martial arts to defeat Broly and used the additional absorbed ki energy from Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta to beat Broly for a period of time. Two strengths that Goku has that Superman doesn’t before absorbing the dragonballs at the end of GT are: He has friends that are stronger, faster, more powerful, and fight better than all of Superman’s friends in the DC Universe and Goku has the ability to absorb ki energy when Superman, who was fighting Doomsday, used up almost all of his absorbed solar energy and couldn’t replenish his energy supply since he couldn’t manage (because of the invincibility of Doomsday) to fly into space close to the sun to do exactly that.
Goku also was helped by his two sons: Super Saiyan 2 adult Gohan and Super Saiyan 1 or 2 kid Goten to combine their ultimate Kamehameha blasts to push Broly into the sun to destroy from physical existence for good.
I’m not saying all of these facts to offend you guys, but all of these comments are the truth.
A strength that Goku also has is to summon all of the energy from the Earth, the other planets and moons in out solar system, the sun, and the energy from other aliens on other planets with the help of the North, South, East, and West Kais to make an ultimate spirit-bomb against any foe. Plus, Goku can also absorb the spirit bomb into himself and add that power on top of whatever power-level he is at as well.
He absorbed a spirit bomb into himself in one of the animated Dragonball Z movies when he fought Ultimate Android 13 who stole the power sources and memory chips from both Androids 14 and 15.

although he refused to kill him, as Nuova had spared his granddaughter. And the “power level of the Sun” as not actually that much, seeing as villains in dragonball z, who are later easily overpowered by Goku, can destroy Solar systems 
Nuova Shenron was a shadow Dragon villain in Dragonball GT who could increase his body temperature to that of the sun. He was basically a manifestation of the Sun/fire and it’s energy. His attacks involved using the heat of the Sun, and one apparently had the power to defeat even Omega Shenron, the strongest shadow dragon (although he was weakened and not in true “Omega” form.) But who was able to overpower Nuova Shenron?? That’s right…GOKU!!
NOT SAYING THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED but didn’t Hulk manage to at least hurt Superman after catching him by suprise??

that thats not as impressive,when i say universe busting,i mean destroys the universe with the attack,what you are talking about would be the resulting black hole,not gokus power. their is also the fact that even if goku could get away from the universe(i dont even get how that black hole would happen) he can go through black holes and lived through a universe blowing up,even if by some miracle he was a universe buster,that wouldnt kill prime.
also,if you have seen how fast prime goes,you would know that if goku uses instant transmission,he still wouldnt get an attack off,asson as his instant transmission was done,he would get an reality altering punch,then one more time for good measure.

Even if villains managed to kill Goku, Kakkarott would train in the spirit realm to ascend to levels unknown to anyone, come back to life somehow and beat, and if necessary kill the enemies that killed him in the first place. Plus, as I said in reality Goku would be just like Superman physically because him and Supes both would naturally have to be strong enough to withstand the intense pressured gravity of their homeworlds that are supposed to be as large or larger than Jupiter. On Earth they would be able to do more with their strength because of the light gravity to move objects and of their natural inborn immense strength they already have. Two strengths that Goku and other Saiyans have are: Goku is smart and caring enough for saving/helping/protecting innocent people; THAT’S WHY IF GOKU ISN’T STRONG ENOUGH TO BEAT AN EVIL SUPER-VILLAIN, ONE OF THE ONLY OTHER WAYS TO BEAT, EVEN KILL HIM IF HE HAS TO SO IS USE ULTIMATE SUPER SPEED WITH EVERY MARTIAL ART IMMAGINABLE TO WIN SO THAT NO INNOCENT PERSON DIES LATER IN THE FUTURE IF GOKU JUST FIGHTS WITH STRENGTH JUST LIKE SUPERMAN. Superman holds his breath in the comics and Goku can do that too (I don’t care what Frieza says to Goku, apparently Frieza doesn’t know the physics of Saiyans and Kryptonians.)
JoshMcFace and Marche I’m not arrogant or conceded or trying to make it look like I’m a know-it-all. I have always liked Superman no matter what, but I am on Goku’s side when it comes to who’s truly superior and who has fighting pride so that he will never have any weaknesses period and knows that if necessary will use martial arts with super-speed even if he’s Superman Prime, one of the New Gods from DC, or Pre-crisis Superman. I know Superman and the physics of his kryptonian nature and if a person who was on Jupiter and who came to Earth with its light gravity would be able to run faster, already have super-strength to perform many feats, blow hurricane force winds and start fires (in reality strong enough winds can create fire- it’s physics, not ice like Superman can in comics/tvshows/movies) and because of Earth’s light gravity that person would be able to see between the atoms of any animate or inanimate object, not use x-ray radiation as it is thought by readers and writers of DC Comics. Plus, unless they were created by God to absorb solar energy, that person from a planet like Jupiter who then came to Earth would realistically not absorb solar energy and would not be able to use it as laser beams. That whole thing about solar energy absorption was made up by the DC writers to explain why Superman could shoot heat vision so that he could use it as an offense or defense. I am honestly a good guy and all my comments on this forum are well-thought out since I think about all of this information a lot. TRUST ME, I do think a lot, not too much though since my mind would need a rest.
I can be analytical on forums at times, but not uncaring about what’s good/right and concerning Superman and Goku.
In the end, because Superman and Goku are both good guys they should have no need or desire to be mad at each other. They would help and learn from each other, as well as support each other. They could possibly fuse to become THE ULTIMATE TRUE SUPERMAN. I REALLY LIKE THAT IDEA!
At the end of my post 218 Superman and Goku can hold their breath in space. Superman in the movies and 90′s tv show Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman breathe in space when in reality that’s impossible. Frieza says that Goku can’t breathe in space because of no air or oxygen, but he doesn’t know the physics of Saiyans and Kryptonians. They have the strength in their lungs to hold their breath for longer amounts of time than what a human can do.

Besides JoshMcFace and Toyboy: has anyone read my comments on this forum, because many of you Superman fans, besides me since I am one and more of a Goku fan, sound like to me that even though they may know a certain amount of facts from Superman comics, cartoons, tv shows, etc really don’t know everything about Superman’s physiology, super-powers, and chemistry like I do. ( No offense) But come on, even a young child at the age of 7-12 would automatically say that Goku would beat Superman hands down. I am a true Superman fan, but I know the facts and am pretty honest with myself and all of you guys about that Goku is forever superior to Superman. If Superman was created to be everything he has been since 1938 and also be like Goku in every way, Goku would have never been created period. Goku trains no matter what, he defines the verse in the Bible that “Unless you become like Children, You cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven”. It’s very simple to understand. That speaks a lot to me and so does Jesus. (Not to bug or force anyone to believe in Him) Lastly, Batman may have the bravery to be a true hero, but if Superman were real he could do things that Bats could only dream about doing to ultimately save/protect people. Face it, no matter how much bravery, discipline, self-motivation, courage, and training Bats has he will never be able to save and protect as many people as Superman can do. Simply Superman is very indestructible, runs at super-sonic speed/flies at light speed, and is immensely strong. But the Superman fans just as I am should know that Goku flies and runs faster than the speed of light; it’s been proven since Goku’s speed continually fluctuates due neverending training at intense gravities times the normal gravity of Earth: he trains in a capsule space ship at 100 times to 1000 times normal Earth’s gravity and has ascended in strength, power, speed, and ki energy attacks from being in the HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER. He knows martial arts, Superman does know several martial art attacks but is too careless and IGNORANT to know that he should use them when it calls for it. Goku is just as caring, merciful (showing pity), and gracious (demonstrating kindness and showing his enemies love in spite of their evil to try to get through to them) just like Superman. Except that Superman is not very balanced when it comes between mercy/grace and justice. Kal-El is too merciful and graceful to where it overpowers his sense of justice. It shouldn’t be that way since if he let evil continually get away with robbing, hurting, and killing innocent people in cold blood, the innocent people’s blood will be on Superman’s hands due to his weak sense of justice. In the end, if Goku knows that no matter how hard he tries to turn his enemies good and they don’t want to, then if it calls for it he will kill them so that they will never harm or kill any innocent person anymore. In the end, because of all of this: Goku is the true Super-Hero. Plus, even though many of DC, Marvel, TopCowProductions, Image, and Dark Horse Universes’ Super-Heroes and Villains are powerful awesome characters, they’re weak in strength, power, speed, and fighting ability and energy attacks compared to Goku. Kakkarott has not only the power-level of a Super Saiyan 4, but as well as the power of all seven dragons with the dragonballs inside of him and is able to grant wishes just like the eternal dragon Shrenron. Without training Goku can then instantly be at any limitless Super Saiyan power-levels he wants to be at. Superman can only live 1,000 years because of his dense molecular structure, but Goku because of the dragonballs inside of him and his dense molecular structure can is truly immortal and ageless. If Goku needs help, he can get it from friends such as Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks including Super Namek Piccolo fused with Kame and Nail. These guys are stronger, faster, fighting-wise smarter, and more powerful than many of the heroes and villains in all of the comicbook universes I just explained. IN THE END GOKU IS THE SUPER-HERO AND ULTIMATE SUPERMAN OF ALL SUPER-HEROES AND SUPER-VILLAINS. IT LOOKS LIKE TO ME THAT GOKU HAS WHATEVER IT TAKES AND HAS IT MADE PERIOD. And you’re right about Goku, especially his compassion. Even without the Dragonballs, Goku lives to just over 1000 years (King Kai says “you’ve only got a thousand years left in you anyway…”) And even though just what the dragonballs do inside Goku remains a mystery, they have been shown to give him prolonged life (he does not age, even 100 years after absorbing them.) And we know that in Omega Shenron, the dragonballs gave him the power of all seven evil dragons, so we could assume that they do the same inside Goku, and possibly more due to his possible training with Shenron.
Many, many things wrong with the logic displayed above.
I admit I got caught up in it as well, but lets put to rest one thing right away. It doesn’t matter who of them is the greater superhero, who has the best grasp of justice. that has no basis in the fight.
I will concede, if Goku’s chi/Ki has a magic base then superman will lose. if not, then Goku will lose. Thats the short and long of it. Superman is insanely powerful, he just never demonstrates it unless he has to. The fact he’s unwilling to kill people isn’t a sign of weakness.

Goku got punched to the ground in a child’s body, in his weakest form, friendly sparring with his best friend, who he completely outpowered waaaay back at the very start of DBZ. I’m not claiming he’s a complete omnipotent God like loads of other people seem to be, so I wouldn’t say my logic was that bad, as I only use points that have actually been seen in the show/manga (King Kai talking to Goku…Goku coming back 100 years later…Omega Shenron becoming unstoppable after absorbing the dragonballs…)
actually josh,shenron stuck the dragonballs inside because goku has positive energy and the balls were negative,thus the clashing energy would make the balls useless.
Noooo the balls weren’t negative… Each one stopped being negative after its corresponding shadow dragon was defeated…and then after Syn Shenron was defeated. You saw them return to normal, which is why the original Shenron could actually appear. (Black Smoke Shenron comes out of the negative dragon balls instead) Although they may have lost some of their wishing power like you said.

Oh and seeing as what Marche says about the Dragonballs becoming Neutral is true, we can all stop saying that Goku becomes able to grant wishes with them!!…Although he does receive at least some new power from Shenron’s training

he used gokus positive energy to counter the negative energy,so their you go.not only that,but there is no proof that goku uses the wish himself,or if he has to summon the dragon(giving supes enough time to beat him up.)
remeber around the end,the dragonballs wernt meant to be used so much,so it would only make sense for shenron to negate use of the dragonballs so that the negative energy would be intact.

Now just wait a minute Marche: It’s true that Superman could try to beat up Goku while Goku is briefly making a wish to Shenron, but no one (myself included) really doesn’t know exactly what Goku can do with the dragonballs inside of him. He could easily just grant any wish to himself in a second without having to call upon the eternal dragon. I do know this though is that after the evil ultimate dragon Omega Sheron was killed by the ultimate positive energy filled spirit-bomb created by extremely powerful kid Goku, that positive energy not only killed Omega Shenron but also flooded the dragonballs purifying them inside of the dying Omega Shenron with positive energy transforming the dragonballs back to normal. Since Kame has rejoined with his other half Piccolo and Piccolo died with the planet Earth while being destroyed by the black starred dragonballs: The dragonballs have a new guardian and master who is Goku chosen by the good Eternal Dragon Shenron giving him possibly more gifts and powers than what Kame had. So Goku would conceivably have the powers of all the seven dragons and probably either be able to call upon the good Eternal Dragon or grant wishes to himself in seconds. Maybe Shenron the Eternal Dragon doesn’t exist anymore since Goku has possibly become the Genie himself. The evil Omega Shenron didn’t call upon the Eternal Dragon during his fight with Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta which means he couldn’t since he was evil and couldn’t grant wishes to himself because he was evil. That’s sounds pretty right to me. One last note: The extremely powerful Goku with the dragonballs inside of him could train his powers and abilities on top of what he already has to not only become a more powerful ascended saiyan but also that training could provide more energy to the dragonballs inside of him increasing the number of wishes that he or the dragon could grant to him. And if Goku wanted to he could grant a wish of becoming the smartest person in the entire Dragonball Universe and any other parallel comicbook universe to make him virtually unbreakable, unwaverable, and unstoppable. And… I respect God and I believe that God is real and is God, but Goku isn’t god and neither is any other character including Superman.

I wanted to give God (Jesus) and His Word one more chance and I prayed/asked God to help me in that unbelieving and doubting time. I opened the Bible and before I was going to turn to the beginning of the New Testament I looked down at the New Testament verse: For our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the rulers of this darkess in the heavenly places (talking about the spiritual realm, not Heaven) I believe that God opened up to me because of my willingness to know Him and want to have a relationship with Him more than what He can give to me. Satan and his demons are liars of God (Jesus), the Truth, and His Word. The Devil and his demons are spirits and are invisible, untouchable, and mostly only your spiritual hearing can hear them, not your physical hearing. There are people who can hear them and see them which proves that even God exists. I’m not trying to make anyone angry, but I want people know honestly what I know and think about this. Superman is great though nevertheless. All of this stuff wasn’t really meant to win the battle on this forum but to enlighten people.
