Here’s a fun match in which I think we’d see some hardcore fighting up close and some brutal assaults. I have to say that even back in the original heyday of the Punisher, I wasn’t too big of a fan, so I am biased towards Bellic for the win.
So, Punisher fans, tell me why I have chosen the wrong person for victory in this match!
There is absolutely nothing worse that men with guns who have nothing to loose. They can both go to extremes, and perform crazy feats with firearms. However, there is one main thing that sets them appart. Purpose.
Belic is looking out for “numero uno”, while Castle is seeking for his warped idea of justice. I think Punisher would clearly be the one in pursuit of the criminal.
Im leaning towards The Punisher defeating Niko, but the slavic might get desperate enough to shut him down.
Its a very nice coin toss. Will wait to see what others think.
Niko would most likely win because of his ability to fall hundreds of feet out of a hellacopter travleing about 50 mph and hit a pole and just stand back up.
Thats pretty brutal, but Frank has some stories of his own. Being flung around by the likes of Hulk, Spiderman, Daredevil, and many others (villains included) has been no walk in the park either for this tough-as-nails regular dude.

I say Punisher wins this. He kills people like Niko on a regular basis.
Punisher. He has special forces training and an arsenal of weapons at his disposal. I also agree with Locutus, Castle kills criminals all the time and Niko is just another criminal.
Also, I think there should be a Punisher VS Tommy Vercetti and all the other GTA playable characters.
Why do people keep claiming better training?
Is it not referenced numerous times that Bellic has military training or the highest order?
Admittedly Eastern European training, but that makes no difference.

Meh, makes no difference. Even if they had the exact same training, Castle has the better guns and vehicles, Castle wins.
Actually Bellic was a teenager serving in the Serbian Liberation Front during the Bosnian war, a poorly armed and poorly organised army that handled more ethnic cleansing than it did combat. It was more likely that he was drafted off the street and taught the very basics of using a firearm before being thrust into the warzone.
Very few of these boys saw formal training and when Bellic discusses his murky past, he’s referring to the fact that he killed a member of his own unit for betraying them; specifically due to the fact that Nico once took part in one such case of ethnic cleansing.
His military career ended shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile Frank Castle served in USMC’s Reconnaissance, Force Reconnaissance and Sniper Schools. Transferred to the U.S. Army Airborne School and then went on to work as a Navy SEAL Special Forces operative during the Vietnam war. He is a distinguished warrior awarded many medal and commendations, including the Purple Heart.
The Military training of the Punisher outranks that of Bellics by far.

Castle still wins, but now by landslide

im gonna go with the punisher. they are both trained with guns and hand to hand but niko was out of the army for a long time and has gotten really unfit compared to the punisher so punisher wud just be able to last longer
They’re both good guys that end up doin’ bad things sometimes. They both have superb skill in hand-to-hand, melee, firearms, and vehicle handlin’. I say they start fightin’ it out in a car chase/shootout, with Punisher chasin’ Niko. They both total their cars, so they get out on foot and have a gunfight extravaganza. After they both run out, they start fightin’ with some melee weapons, then eventually unarmed. It’s a complete street brawl as they use anything to get the upperhand. They both end up gettin’ severely injured, only to find out that they were set up. They were both made the fall guys for some big crime conspiracy. They decide to team up to bring the pricks that tricked ‘em down. After they succeed with that, they keep in touch just in case they ever need a helpin’ hand in a tough situation. So it’s a car-crashin’, cap-poppin’, blood-spillin’ draw between two great fighters.
Bellic has the mad skills that only a GTA “protagonist” has, but we put him against a special forces operator. Nuff said.

Niko’s a great protagonist and all,but he’s hardly all that unique compared to the trash Frank dealswith on a daily basis.
